Comfort Suites At WestGate Mall

Major positive surprise. Check in was fast and easy (and nice). Location was convenient to the mall and Close enough to tons of restaurants for single travelers. The breakfast is your typical «free breakfast». The positive is thy include a «social hour» which includes a free beer or wine and snacks. One day was wings, which was a nice surprise. The wifi was surprisingly fast for those trying to stream Netflix on your laptop while connected to the wifi. I wouldn’t mind staying here in the future!

The other reviews are mystifying. I will say that the bed was very comfortable and everything looked nice and new. The fridge was very big for a hotel and the room came with a microwave, which was nice. But we cant say it was worth it. My step-​daughter noticed that the room wreaked of cigarettes as soon as we opened the door, which is not something we have previously encountered at a hotel, not to mention the fact that this hotel advertises itself as being non– smoking. The hotel is obviously aware that people are smoking in the rooms because they made us sign a statement that we would not smoke. They have clearly tried to cover up the smell by over spraying with something so both my Husband and I feel sick today after breathing in the nicotine and chemicals all night. But when we complained about the smell, they acted as though they knew nothing about it.
There were signs all over the room and bathroom that pleaded that guests not compel the hotel to clean the linens. I meant to take a picture of one of them, which attempted to guilt guests by stating in all caps that THE CHOICE WAS UP TO YOU and that doing laundry takes water and detergent. Just tacky and rude. What are we paying for.
The «King Suite“was the size of a small standard room and difficult to walk around once the couch was pulled out. The pull out was very uncomfortable for the kids with springs protruding badly. The sheets for the pull out were no where to be found in the room. We called to ask where they were and were briskly told to come retrieve them ourselves from the front desk. When we asked for extra pillows, we were given one and told that was all the entire hotel had. Just too many negatives.

Good bang for the buck. $ 109 got a king size bed, sofa, refrigerator & microwave. Free breakfast & outside pool and hot tub. Lots of electrical outlets in room.

Staff was incredibly friendly. Room was big nice and clean … We would stay again but we would request a different room.
Bathtub plug didn’t work so taking a bath wasn’t an option. Also their hot tub is broken … So no soaking for us.
We didn’t have blinds that closed on our window and there was a bright light shining outside all night on us…
Otherwise a pleasant stay

This is the Best Hotel Spartanburg has to offer. My family and I stayed here back in July and the beds were extra comfy, the staff was friendly and made sure we loved our stay, and after we figured out the cost of the room and the free hot breakfast that was included it was almost as if the hotel didn’t cost anything for a family of 4. I will tell everyone I know about this place.
