If you find yourself on Padre and want to «wade-​in» to fly fishing, start here. I am a huge fan of Eric Glass, who does not guide for island outfitters, but launches right next door and wandered in after a dawn raid one day. Very chill fly and light tackle cueva. I think they may have rental gear here, but I know for certain they give fly casting lessons and can put you out with some good guides. They also sell flies. I do not think they sell rods/​reels as the Fly Shop does in Port Isabel.
