I read the reviews and tried it… Let’s just say my entire family was sick and fighting for the bathroom! !

I order from this place all the time. This place is a hidden gem in South Holland. Thier food is delicious and they give you so much food. I always call in my order for take out and it’s always ready within 15 minutes. Great place, fast service, friendly people, amazing food. Love thier Lemon Sole Fish and General Tso Chicken!

I’m new to the South Suburbs and I was looking for a Chinese restaurant to satisfy my shrimp fried rice craving. Boy did I find the spot! The food was yummy and the service was great.

My favorite Chinese food restaurant in the south suburbs. Food is always fresh and made in a timely manner. I’ve been going here for years and so far I love their food. I don’t think anyone else compares in the area. Only thing is I hate the small parking lot but I order take out so its not a big deal.

When I move to Chicago looking for a very good inexpensive Chinese place I found China Star right up the street from where I work and O-M-G! let me tell you this place was very fast but the quality of food in a quantity that you receive for the price I couldn’t believe the very very reasonable

Ordered General Tsao’s chicken. Not crispy, not spicy, kind of flat. Not much meat, more soggy breading. Portions are generous. I expected white rice with it, but they gave me shrimp fried rice. It was pretty good. Seating is pretty much like most Chinese carry out joints. Service was quick and friendly. Nothing special here. Not sure where the great reviews come from. I love good Chinese, but this did not satisfy my craving.

Really good orange chicken. Lunch special’s portions are large. Their rice is also very delicious and NOT dry like most other Chinese food restaurants. You don’t need to add soy sauce, but they provide you with plenty anyway, unlike other stingy establishments who charge extra money for sauce packets. Customer service is fast, straight to business, and they speak English well.

Passing through with my Fam on our way home to MN and we really wanted some Chinese food. Came across this place, had good reviews so we tried it. We shared the beef broccoli which was really good, veggie egg foo young which was the bomb one of the best I’ve had, big huge patties. And we got the bbq pork lomein which was my least favorite lacked flavor so I tried to fix it up with some chili sauce which helped. And the fried rice was delicious as well. Defiantly a little hole in the wall. It’s mainly a take out or delivery spot. There was only a couple tables and we were the only ones dining in. but it is a very busy place which means it’s good!

Yes. This is the ultimate Chinese comfort food place. Good food, low prices. You can’t go wrong with those two things, can you? Menu includes some vegetarian main dishes.

Had the pleasure of eating here tonight. I come to South Holland every week. So I been trying different places. This by far has to be the best so far. I had the General Tao chicken combo plate. It came with rice and and egg roll. I also ordered 4 crab rangoons. Just in case I was still hungry. Man that was PLENTY of food. Enough for two people easily. The good was very tasty and not just some cheap Chinese food. Except for the price. All for around 11 $ The folks were very nice and the people in the area are nice as well. If your in the area and want good inexpensive Chinese food. This is the place.

I am originally from the heart of the city and had a great Chinese restaurant that had me at hello. Came to South Holland and actually drove back to the city on my ‘no cook’ Friday’s for my Chinese food. One lazy day, I decided to give them a try. I have been going every since. I love the fact that you can witness the food preparation and purchase your 3 Ballerina’s Detox Tea!!! Phoned-in orders have always been ready at my arrival and the prices are very good. The dining area can use some sprucing, but it is not about the ‘sit down’ if you ask me. If you’re ever in our lil’ humble town of SoHo and looking for some fresh Chinese, stop by China Star

Saw this place on Unilocal and suggested it to a group. Boy, was I glad I did. Aside from the place’s décor(which is none), once we got the food all fears were put aside. Huge portions of delicious entrées, and everyone had leftovers for later. I don’t make my way to South Holland usually, but if I ever do I think I’ll be in the mood for some Chinese food.

Been eating here since they opened, they have a great and affordable lunch specials menu. I am a fan of the Beef Chop Suey. A word of warning, if you plan to use your credit/debit card, they won’t accept if for orders under $ 10. So pony up and order some extra egg rolls. LOL

It’s very hard for me to give tasty Chinese food a bad review, especially when every lunch special on their menu is under $ 5. The portions were HUGE and the food was startlingly good for the price. I literally got two pounds of mongolian beef with my lunch. The meet was lean and cooked just right. I have to say that the place could use a few touches on the décor. They do have a nice flat screen TV that loops a CD with images of their food. I don’t think South Holland is the culinary capital of the southern suburbs, but this place is a nice find.
