Just finished waiting 25 minutes for two Fortas and two tacos… This is crazy… There’s only two people in this restaurant… The lazy serving is horrible

I have tasted so many tortas before but none taste as good as the tortas they sale here. They are so bomb specially the torta caliente de pierna, The meat is so delicious, and the jalapeños aside makes the perfect combinations well for me. Every time i go i come out fully satisfied, because I just love my torta and the way they make me feel so welcome. They are super friendly. I fully recommend tortas hogadas el rey.

My Torta Ahogada de Barbacoa was great. Good flavor in the meat and the au jus served on the side in a cup. Mine wasn’t spicy at all as some people have indicated with theirs. It may have been the language barrier. I had to break out my best Spanglish to be seated and order. It did not appear that the waitress spoke any English and she spoke Spanish very quickly and was in a rush so I had to chain together my terrible Spanglish as best as I could under pressure. In the end, it all worked out and I got exactly what I wanted (except maybe she thought I didn’t want mine spicy? or possibly the Barbacoa isn’t spicy at all?)
Good food and I’m coming back for sure.

Pedi tacos de barbacoa y consome, los tacos se veian muy bien pero la carne estaba echada a perder, el consome igual ya sabia agrio y de seguro estaba echado a perder.
La peor que te puede pasar cuando sales a comer a un restaurante.

I’m a frequent customer here they’re tacos dorados de barbacoa are to die for, but they’re service sucks ass!!! They girl workers take forever to bring out the food and they’re always gossiping instead of working. I had to wait 25 min so they can give me my check and I had to ask them twice. The food is delicious but they’re employees suck. Maybe they should hire new staff.

The Torta was okay. I wouldn’t say it was anything spectacular. The hot sauce was super hot. I do not mind hot, but that is all I could taste during my meal.
Given the hotness of the hot sauce it would be nice if they offered free refills on drinks. The food is not cheap. I paid about $ 20 for two people. Two torta specials with one drink and one water. Would I come back again… No.

Came here earlier today ordered the stuffed chile special and paid waited for about 10min so they could tell me they where out. service Is pretty half ass normally but today they out did them selfs The stars are for the food cuz when it’s not under cooked its really good Lol But sad to say I will not be going back.
