Today’s lunch! Since I work in south gate I’m think the heart of Mexico! I’ve tried all sort of places but this place has yet to disappoint a hungry Aidan girl who lives mexican food! I’ve had their pozole, chicken & asada tacos, wet burritos, mole tacos, mulitas, sopes enchiladas, beans and rice! So delicious! For this price you can go wrong! Mexican food made with fresh ingredients and the correct and balance mixture! I mean their salsa is on point! Love it

It’s good, it’s not that expensive and doesn’t take a long time. Better than king taco

The tacos and Mullitas are sooo good! The homemade tortillas, absolutely delicious. I have honestly been to so many places, and have never found a place that cooked every single meat just the way I like it, the chicken is grilled to perfection, the chorizo cooked just right, the al pastor is heaven. The sopes are absolutely delicious, the enchiladas, the nachos, this spot is legitimately and absolutely delicious, this is,” cream of the crop”, right here.

Don’t be fooled by the lack of a fifth star, La Taquiza has my heart. While it is not«as good as it gets» Mexican cuisine, for how conveniently close, accessible, and fairly priced this establishment is, it is definitely worth the visit. I am having difficulty thinking of where to begin with this review as my feelings towards this restaurant are nothing but joy and happiness. The service is great. I am always greeted with warm smiles. The atmosphere is simple and gets the job done. The food is always freshly made to order, the tortillas warm, and the pico di gallo fresh as can be. As the menu is large and I have yet to order it all, a few of my personal La Taquiza favorites are the Al Pastor tacos, the chilequiles, the asada fries, and the carne asada fajitas. I would also like to give a special shout out to the lemonade. A trip to La Taquiza without a cup of their in house lemonade is a trip wasted. Also make sure to hit up the salsa bar as you will be pleasantly surprised by the fresh quality that is presented on a regular basis. While the carne asada is sometimes over-salted and the pico a little heavy on the onions, these minor imperfections are definitely made up for with the friendly service and«Breakfast All Day» menu options. Overall, if you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by La Taquiza as you will not be disappointed!

The food here is very good. I loved the tacos de Marline. I also tried the sopes de carnitas and I wasn’t disappointed. The owner is very nice I think he’s from Guadalajara. I highly recommend!!!

Fresh and very tasty. Hand made tortillas even in the tacos I ordered. The chicken was fresh and my order was done in less than five minutes. My husband ordered the mulitas(his first time ever tasting one). He is a picky eater and he loved them. Delish! Too bad we moved to Riverside but if ever in the area, we would make a pit stop.

Best place to go for authentic Mexican food! If you love«chipoatlay»(Chipotle) this isn’t for you. I repeat this is real authentic Mexican food. Lets start with, when you walk in. Costumer service is on point. Marsela is so nice and so patient. You definitely feel welcomed. Now the food. It took me about a month to try different plates, and here are my reviews. Tortillas are hand made and Asada is done on the actual grill — thank you. I’m In love!!! The #7. 3 Tacos de Asada, rice, and beans — really delicious. Sope de Asada — so good. Burrito de Asada — good for on the go with so much flavor. Burrito mojado de Asada — definitely hitting the spot. Red or green sauce? They are both tasteful! Burrito de Chile relleno — you can’t go wrong. Its the best Chile relleno burrito out there, and lets not forget that it’s good for on the go. Chilaquiles con Adobada — rice, beans, Flavor!!! That waking up on Saturday morning and your mom in the kitchen cooking Chilaquiles flavor. Like mom’s cooking. Plato the Carne Asada — Their specialty. It takes on El Pescador, La Barca, Don Chentes on Florence and Alameda and anything under them. 3 steaks, rice, beans, cheese, salad with Pico de Gallo and guacamole, grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño. Let’s not leave the homemade tortillas done in front of you. Hands down the«BOMB». I recommend this place if you like treating yourself to good flavorful food. Price wise you cant beat it. 4 people $ 30 — $ 35. Just a little under $ 10 per plate. You must go!!!

Where do i start? After reading so much good reviews me and my mother decided to try this place. There is no kind of attention here, you need to be getting up for anything that you need, bathrooms are horrible with no water to flush, food was typical. My chilaquiles were made from can sauce(disgusting) my moms pozole you can say was alright. But after eating my chilaquiles plate that only come with beans this is definitely not the place where i would return. Only nice thing about this place is the decoration.

Great food but everytime I come the A/C is off a little stuffy ceviche is good and shrimp cocktails. But leave those kids at home everytime I come I have screaming kids in my ear let me eat my breakfast in peace

The food here is great, the service is fine. My husband and I really like to get the carne asada mulitas/burrito and I personally Love the horchata drink(I am very picky about horchata drinks) also their salsas are the bomb! I have already recommend this place to all my family and friends and whenever they are looking for mexican food this is the place they go to. Now the people that are complaining about the guy at the register really bugged me so I only have this question for you… Was your order correct? If the answer was«Yes» and your still complaining about his customer service then you should really take some time, look in the mirror and reflect upon yourself. Are you looking for a standing ovation every time you enter a business then perhaps this place or any place is not the best for you and should seek some professional help.

This restaurant was very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We tried the ceviche, chorizo tacos, huevos aztecos, and Mulita de asada. The tostada de ceviche was not very good. Not much flavor to it. Everything else was absolutely delicious! I wouldn’t eat seafood from here but everything else is good. Horchata was amazing! One of the best I’ve had in a while.

This place had a bunch of great reviews so I had to try it. The restaurant definitely fell short. I went in there to get a to go order and everything looked pretty standard so I decided to go with a taco de mole and a burrito de al pastor with everything. The person who was at the register, the guys name unfortunately didn’t appear on the receipt, really bummed me out. I felt deflated after he took my order. It is hard to put in words because I don’t want to insult the guy, but pretend that your significant other picked up and left. Now imagine you worked in the customer service industry and how you would be acting at work. That is how this guy was acting. Since I got the order to go I hit up the salsa bar to get the condiments to go with my order. I noticed that they had the little containers for the salsa, but no tops. The guy at the register called me back to pick up 3 tops and 2 little bags for jalapenos, pickled onions, etc. I personally am not a fan of a place that limits you on your condiments ESPECIALLY when the containers are the small ones. None of the 3 salsas that were available were spicy. They had great flavor, but didn’t have any kick to them. I got what I could and after my order was done I happily was on my way home to eat. The mole taco was really good, but for $ 1.50 they could have given way more bang for my buck. The burrito was good and I would love to tell you that the al pastor was good, but the burrito consisted mostly of rice and beans so I am not 100% sure how good the meat it. I wish the reviews would be more critical and not quick to give a place 5 stars, but you eat and you learn.

This place is awesome! I only found out about this location recently, as I have been to the one on Figueroa for 10+ years. The mulitas at this location are just as good! I also had two tacos, horchata, and all was good. The salsa had a good flavor and was spicy enough for my taste. My new favorite spot in South Gate!
