Tom’s Shoe Repair

I had two pairs of sandals to be resolved. I neglected to get the cost quote before he did the work. When I went in to get them it was $150. $150 to get two old pairs of sandals resolved . I had them resoled previously by a different shoe repair store and it was not that much money. When I questioned it he told me he would give me $50 back and then he said no and then he said take it up with your credit card company. I did. The credit card company credited me $50. I had an expensive leather purse repaired. The purse ended up getting bleach on it and basically the leather was scortched in certain spotas. Tom’s shoe end up filling in those spots and then re-​finishing the entire purse so that the color blended in perfectly. Plus they did it quickly for me as I was going on a trip!

This is my first ever Unilocal review, but I decided I needed to go straight home and write this after picking up my shoes from Tom’s. In short, I received a phenomenal and professional job for an incredible price.
I recently bought a nice pair of dress shoes from a consignment store. I wore them for a few weeks before the upper portion of one of the shoes had detached from the heel. I felt like an idiot that I would have to pay to have service done on shoes I’d just purchased, and ones that I was counting on to wear to work after the holidays. I live in Philly now, and the cheapest trustworthy option to repair them there seemed absurdly expensive.
I was in Solon for the holidays and called Tom. He must have heard the urgency in my voice and offered to complete my order faster despite having a busy load. I picked up the shoes today and they look better than new. And the price was absurdly cheap, with no extra cost for the speed. It’s clear that Tom takes pride in his work, and offers phenomenal service. Five stars.

Tom has been fixing my shoes for years, and now that I live out of the area I still drive to him. He has completely redone two pairs of Birkenstock sandals (plastic sole as well as cork bed), restitched dress shoes, and saved my favorite pair of flats from certain death. He also does a great job repairing luggage. He was able to match my missing wheel perfectly and install it securely. Plus, he is a nice guy, his prices are reasonable, and parking is very convenient. I highly recommend his services.

Tom’s took my favorite and irreplaceable Kenneth Cole shoes and put on new heels, buffed, polished and they’re as good as new for under $ 15.00! Will definitely be dropping off more shoes. They are amazing.
