Went here because of a Groupon deal I found. I am very wary of Groupon deals, but with the few reviews Maria Giallanza Salon had here I decided to try anyways. Wooooo, I do not regret that decision! I haven’t had a decent color EVER in Cleveland(I’m always going back again to get it fixed). My color came out great! Minimal red undertones(I go from black to blonde), decent gradient(because my roots are slightly darker), and an acceptable wait time in the chair! Only two«complaints» — which I don’t even care about because they are not a huge deal to me. First, I can slightly see the«stepping» of color change in my hair. Considering I got a ombré done, this is a slight setback in quality. Second is that my haircut ended up very blunt, which I specifically asked not for. This is perhaps suggestive of them not paying 110% attention to what the customer wants. Overall though, great place. Nice people(even the owner was around to say hello). Quality was a steal considering I got a Groupon. I would definitely return!

Had a haircut with Maria last week and I was so pleased with the way she cut my hair. {Even got compliments from my husband!) I asked her opinion on how best to cut my hair and she was honest. My hair is naturally curly and I usually blow it out and straighten it, but my haircut is so awesome I’ve been able to just wash and wear after putting volumizing product in it. I’m so happy with my haircut and will definitely return to Maria Giallanza Salon! Thanks Maria.

I’m a huge fan. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years for cut and color and now my 2 teens are regulars, too. I love the peaceful setting, all Aveda aroma(no chemical smells), and complementary hand and arm massage. The«no tipping» policy makes for an even more relaxed visit. I think it’s very reasonably priced.

I bought a living social deal for their mani-pedi. The salon was in a good location, clean and well decorated. Laura did both my manicure and pedicure. She was really sweet and nice, but the manicure was not done well at all. The nail polish was not fully painted on my nails and when I left the salon I had to file my nails because they were rough and snagging on my clothes. Also, the next day the nail polish was chipping off when my manicures usually last about a week. They did not have a large selection of nail polishes, around 30. The color i chose was very pretty, but the polish seems very thick. I am very disappointed because Laura was so sweet.

In the middle of the only snow storm we’ve seen to date this season I found myself traveling south-east to Maria Giallanza Salon. I knew that a mani-pedi was in my near future and the promise of a few hours of pampering and trash mags were all the motivation I needed to get out of the house. I had made the appointment over a month in advance(they seem to book up quite early for Saturday slots) and a little inclimate weather wasn’t going to keep me from taking advantage of my day of beauty! If not for Groupon, I may not have tried this salon, quite honestly. But I’m glad that I did. The staff was friendly and Laura gave a wonderful pedicure(perhaps the best I’ve had in years). The space is relaxed and sweetly perfumed from Aveda products(which they rep rather heavily). I also appreciated their«no tip» policy — a nice final surprise!

I am a former client of Maria Giallanza salon. The only reason I ceased to become one is because my family moved to Denver, CO. Maria(owner) is personable, knowledgeable and talented. Her salon was just down the street from work and it was convenient. Plus, I got a nice discount for services because she offered a Chamber of Commerce discount to employees of companies that belonged to the Solon Chamer of Commerce. An added bonus is that Maria’s salon is an Aveda salon! Maria became my primary stylist and I never walked away disappointed. She’s passionate about her business and her trade. She will do all she can to make things right if a customer is unsatisfied. When I left her salon, I was given the formula to my partial highlights(Aveda hair color) so that I could take it with me to Denver when I found another Aveda salon. My husband travels back to Solon for business about once a month and I’m envious that he still gets his hair services from Maria!
