Couple problems with this place. I ordered an Epic Burger Classic combo, with cheddar cheese(+$ 0.99), avocado(+$ 1.29), grilled onions, tomato, lettuce, and Epic sauce, on whole wheat bun; also, skinny chocolate shake and fries. Took my order to-go. Just over $ 15. My burger didn’t have the avocado or onions on it, which was annoying. The bun was very delicious. The patty was very, very thin, greasy, with just a TON of inedible bone chips, or hardened fat, or cartilage chips in it. I was spitting stuff out constantly and was pretty grossed out. Needless to say, after 3 or 4 bites, i just removed the patty all together and ate the bun with tomato, lettuce, and epic sauce. Not my idea of a great meal, but a girl’s gotta eat. The fries were pretty decent. The milkshake was okay — just vanilla ice cream and a squirt of Hershey’s syrup. Truly, there is not one single impressive thing about this place. In a lot of ways, you’d be better off going to McDonald’s. at least you know what you’re getting. The staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, or just didn’t care. They were far more interested in talking to a girl at the counter(seemed like maybe she used to work there? i don’t know) than getting orders correct, clearly. My husband has been wanting to try this place, but after this experience, neither of us will ever eat here again. Bleh.

Yum! This burger joint really separates itself from it’s competitors; M Burger, Shake Shack, Meatheads, and Five Guys,(I won’t even put McDonalds’s because there are a different league). First of all, this is a PREMIUM burger. Sure it’s organic and hand crafted, but when you take a bite out of it the lettuce, tomato, and raw onions for me, taste so freaking fresh. No offense to other burger joints but seriously, the vegetables are spot on… literally perfect. I got the Epic Burger Classic Double with white buns, harvati cheese(.99 extra), raw onions, and everything else(no avocado, no eggs, and no bacon). About the bun, they say it’s baked everyday so that’s nice. The buns taste great. I got the white ones and they were somewhat chewy and not too bready/crumbly. The meat? It is a bit greasy, but that is NATURAL. I’d rather have a slightly greasy, but juicy patty than a dry and soggy one. I think they grill it right on the spot unfrozen just because how fresh it tastes. The joint itself is nice and has both indoor and outdoor spots to eat and the cashier always smiled at me which was awesome; ready to serve burger style. Overall the quality of the burger is so good. The prices are a little more expensive but along the same line as the Shake Shack, except it is like 75% bigger(Epic Burger is bigger than Shake Shack). While prices are a littler more, I like the premium quality of their food. Coming from California, I’ve been deprived of In N’ Out Burgers where it’s fresh, cheap(double is like $ 3.40), but small but this place seems to fill my hamburger needs. I’m coming here again soon when I have a thing for burgers. Haven’t tried their fries. So far so good.

Had some time to burn this afternoon, so I decided to stop here to see what, if anything made Epic Burger so epic. Evidently it’s the juiciness of the burger, at least to the extent that it runs down your arm and turns the bun to mush. Pluses were that the meat was otherwise flavorful and they put substantial slices of bacon on it. Minuses were that they were out of some of the add-ons despite it being rather early in the day(no blue cheese? Not quite an epic fail, but a fail nonetheless). Outside of the burgers, portion sizes seemed to be on the small size relative to what they were charging for them. Wouldn’t quite rate this place«epic» … Just call it «Eh Burger» and keep walking.

The shake was great. The fries are ok. The burger was not seasoned at all. Quality was great. Just had no taste. For 2 people(1 of which had a grilled cheese) the total came to almost 30 $…so for a bland burger not very good. The service was very pleasant though.

Had a pleasant take-out experience here. Thumbs up for having a vegetarian option. Price was a bit… up there but probably because I added bacon and cheese(will probs do my own add ons at home because neither tasted necessary) Thin patty and generally very good burger. One thing… everytime I eat burgers, I ALWAYS get really sick. Whether it’s a bad reaction to red meat or to just burgers in general. I prepared myself for another agonizing painful post-meal experience, but I felt like a million bucks the whole day after with a happy stomach :) Employees were nice and friendly! Nothing like smiling faces when you walk in and leave to top it all off.

I love their burgers… very juice! Their chicken burger is better than Shake Shack. Epic burger definitely, a must try!

We went to this place just for quick snacks while waiting for our pictures at picture people. We only ordered French fries. And it took them more than 30 minutes to serve us French fries. We kept waiting and when we asked them after 10 mins, they had not put the order in. Then again after waiting for another 10 mins, they said that they have just put the fries in fryer. At this time, we were quite frustrated and asked them to cancel the order. We were told they are almost ready and asked us to wait for 2 more mins. Finally the fries arrived after 15 mins and they were not even fresh and hot. What kind of burger place takes so long to serve fries?

There are many great burger places nearby but this place is definitely my favorite! As someone who hates getting a pink or a bland hamburger, this place always cooks their hamburger patties perfectly. It is always slightly crisp on the outside and very well seasoned so you really don’t need any condiments on them(but definitely try the epic sauce!). I also love their French fries and will make a point to try their shake or smoothie one of these days.

The burgers here are truly EPIC. I ordered the double beef burger with onions, lettuce, pickles, giardiniera, and epic sauce. the burger is one of the best i have ever had. a double beef burger with all those toppings does get a little messy, but its worth it. another plus point is for all the people that eat Halal, the beef at Epic Burger is from Creekstone Farms, which is certified Halal. I was also happy with the service, the staff is very friendly, the restaurant was nice, great atmosphere. the only negative would be the price, I will definitely be back for more.

My boyfriend has been wanting to try this place so we decided to give it a shot. If you want something quick and pretty greasy than this is the place for you. The party was very fragile, it would cut off by itself and they don’t put enough epic sauce which was a disappointment. However, I have to say the strawberry shake was delicious but you can honestly make it at home. Just buy strawberry ice cream and milk lol I will not be returning. In my opinion, I can find a better burger joint

If you love a thin crispy patty burger, this is the place for you. The Epic burger is definitely one of my all time favorite burgers, however, I’m not a beef lover. The patty is perfect, because it doesn’t overpower the taste and you’re able to enjoy all of the other flavors of the ingredients. The fries are also crispy and so tasty. I love that the beef and the ingredients are premium quality!

Pros — grilled onions, buns, service Cons — price Meat was good grease bomb in a way that I wanted to keep eating it. Had cheddar jr. beef burger. It was greasy but clean tasting. Hard to describe. Fries were decent.

Visiting from Milwaukee I wondered how Epic an Epic Burger could be. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find out my first business trip to the area. Last Friday I was in the neighborhood and had to find out. Simple choices on the menu made it easy to order – even got to get a salad instead of fries. Got a double burger with the horseradish Havarti and was wowed when it was delivered. Juicy hand-formed patties of pure deliciousness overhung all sides of the fresh toasted bun. Mowed through my fresh green salad with a tasty house dressing in order to commence consumption of the main course. I don’t recall chewing – I swear the entire burger melted in my mouth! Only complaint was the salad had only lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes – wish some other salad toppings were available or included – fresh and tasty but needed some more zing. Wish these were available in Milwaukee – they do delicious and healthy(relatively) at the same time!

You know those restaurants you go to purely based on recommendations from friends, and you then subsequently lose all respect for their taste in food? This is one of those places. The burger was soggy and weirdly bland, and the fries were overly salty. The employees were friendly, though. Aside from that I’d never go here again.

The burgers were okay, but for the price, we thought we would get a bit more meat. Also, considering it’s supposed to be a ‘better’ burger, you’d think it wouldn’t be so greasy… the food was o-k though, decent. Does it fit in at Old Orchard? Absolutely… I just don’t think I’ll really take the time to stop in again, especially not with the whole family.

Yeah — it was good! Went in, ordered, and they made it fresh to order(as opposed to say, McD’s, where everything’s sitting under heating lamps). So you may have to sit at a table for a few minutes waiting for your food to be ready — but have no fear, it’ll be nice and warm and juicy when it arrives. The burgers are GREAT! and the fries are fresh-cut fries, which I love. Service was great. Restaurant was fairly clean. It’s located right behind the California Pizza Kitchen, by LL Bean. Definitely worth a try!

I came here with my friend and we shared fries and a drink(he got a combo and I got just a sandwich). It wasn’t too expensive, and I usually don’t like burgers, but this place was pretty good for the price. I liked it a lot.. I got the turkey burger with avocado and lots of veggies. Even though it lacked some flavor, I thought it tasted natural. I liked the epic sauce– kinda reminded me of Chick fil-a sauce. Is it just me or do these special sauces all kinda taste the same? I don’t mind, because they are super delicious. Kinda of a good in between of a sit in restaurant and BurgerKing. I think the quality of the burgers are as good as some sit in restaurants. I am not the biggest fan of the atmosphere though. In between a Chili’s and a Mcdonalds… Feels a little bit awks. What are you trying to be Epic Burger? OH well, you do you. I don’t mind, just here for food I guess.

I know this place is a chain, but for what it is, I think it’s really good. It’s priced along the lines of 5 Guys, and I actually prefer it– the fries are better, and the interior of the restaurant is nicer, plus they bring your food to you. The food is ethically sourced and the menu is simple. I’ve only ever had a burger, but it’s well cooked and very customizable. They have ketchup and dijon mustard on the tables– I loved that it was dijon instead of yellow mustard. The fries are delicious! Well-cooked, well-salted, and a large portion. I wouldn’t come here if I was on a diet or watching my cholesterol, but considering it’s a fast-casual burger restaurant, it is good! I appreciate it’s presence at Old Orchard, since before it moved in, the only place I ever ate consistently at was Frontera. Frontera is definitely better quality, but if you’re in the mood for a burger or with someone who has more simple tastes, Epic Burger is a great option.
