I love this store. You can smell all teas, they have ton of samples and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I totally recommend this store to tea lovers.

This place is really great. Used a groupon for tea tasting and learned a great deal about tea. Excited to try different varieties during the cold winter months.

I have been on a mission to find«my» tea. Tried many flavors and many stores. I came to Adagio at Old Orchard today on my lunch break(probably one of the worst days to come cause the weather sucks). The store is clean and they have many choices to choose from. It’s a beautiful setup with plenty of teas and items to look through, although the store is a bit cramped and not much moving space without bumping into something or someone. The reason for only 3 stars, the staff didn’t bother to ask if I needed help, I had to approach them after walking in circles trying to figure out what’s what, there were maybe 2 customers in the store and one was checking out. This however isn’t the biggest reason for the 3 stars. The biggest issue was the music was so obnoxiously LOUD. I couldn’t think. I wasn’t sure if I was in a bar or a tea shop! Don’t get me wrong, I like loud music, but at the bar not a tea shop and the shop is small and cramped to begin with so the loud muisc was not very welcoming. I also don’t like to yell when I’m trying t conversate or ask a question. I did purchase 5 boxes of tea samples which was $ 54 and that’s pretty reasonable. It was buy 4 get 1 free. I probably won’t be going back to this location but will attempt another location or just purchase online in the near future.

Went in to buy my son a Christmas gift, as per his request, after getting a free sample outside the store. Super helpful, friendly staff! Also, loved that one staff member offered to brew any tea I wanted to try. On a cold December day, stopping in to sample tea is very appreciated. My new go to for all my tea needs.

The salesman who helped me was extremely helpful. I didn’t catch his name unfortunately but he recommended accessories to help with the loose leaf teas and helped me in a timely manner. Very efficient and helpful. Will definitely be going back.

Adagio is a class act. An excellent selection of teas and tea blends, expertly laid out in a way that invites comparisons(each has a glass jar that allows you to see and smell the selection) with other like teas nearby. The staff here was courteous and welcoming, offering you a chance to try any tea of your choice. The gal there made me a lovely cup of Matcha, the über-hyped tea of antioxidant fame… it was grassy and delicious. I ended up purchasing a milky oolong, one of the staff recommendations tagged on the wall. Prices are not cheap but fair –this is high-quality tea – and frankly less than Teavana. A really lovely respite during a crowded holiday shopping experience at Old Orchard.

Great read at a much better price than Teavana. I really recommend the ‘Gen Ma Cha’ and the Candy Cane’. The overall quality of teas is really good. The selection is ok but cannot be compared to Teavana.

I passed Adagio today trying to find Teavana(I’m not a regular tea buyer and this was all I remembered being in the area). A saleswoman greeted me immediately and asked if I had been before. When I said I hadn’t, she explained the store, and even took me around to see the different teas they had. Very personal service. She said that she can make me a sample of whatever I want. After some looking and questions, I asked for a sample, and she made me a cup on the spot, but also made me two more samples of other teas she said I might like! It looks like I’ll be drinking a lot more tea in the future, and buying it from Adagio.

I had a tea date with a friend here during my lunch break and it was one of the best ideas ever! The sales associate working here was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. She made some really good recommendations based off of our tea preferences and we were able to sample some really delicious ranging from some fruity infused teas to the more traditional black teas. They have a huge variety and selection here with price ranging from $ 8 to $ 29 for 3 oz of loose leafs or ones packaged in individual bags. This is also a great place to pick up souvenirs for your tea loving friends and family members! They’ve got a great selection of mugs, infusers, kettles, teapots… basically any tea accessory you can think of they’ll most likely have it! Best part is with a Unilocal check-in, you get a free small tea to go! They can brew any kind of tea you want in the store. Small is typically around $ 3 or a large for $ 4. Great for those who are not ready to make a commitment to purchase the tea leaves but still want to enjoy a serving of tea:)

I went in for the first time today and fell in love. The people were incredibly helpful when it came to picking out the perfect tea for myself. My boyfriend picked out 2 and I picked out 2 making the 4th one free! They also gave us free samples with our purchases and let us try whatever tea we wanted. Definitely a great place and I will be returning.

My daughter and I shopped here for a birthday gift. The sales clerk could not have been more amazing. He was friendly and helpful and the tea package we bought smells wonderful! Now maybe I need to get some for myself!

I will not be coming back. I’d give zero stars if I could. Went here today because I was walking around the mall & it was hot, like 90 degrees and humid, so I got thirsty. I remembered I really liked Adagio Teas & chose to come here over Teavana(even though I used to work there & we walked by them first!). It started off well… The first girl that was helping me was nice. She recommended a few teas & I decided on a blood orange hibiscus tea iced large sweetened. She started steeping it & chatted with us a bit. She was super helpful & she specifically said the hibiscus tea is deep red, like the one at starbucks, which I already knew :) Well, me and my cousin noticed a flyer saying to Unilocal them so I went on Unilocal to check in just because I always check in to places & saw that if I do, my drink would be free! That was a pleasant surprise for something I was going to buy anyway. The girl that was helping us, left at that time… idk, her shift was over or something & she handed us over to this other dark haired girl. The girl told the dark haired girl what I got, blood orange large iced sweetened. I heard her. I was told by multiple people that the dark haired girl kept glaring at me more than once, but when I talked to her she was so sweet. Not sure if it was all fake or that’s just how she looks at people??? Anyway, she proceeds to tell me that there’s something in my tea, like a paper or sticker or something and she could make me a new one. I say ok, and she asks me if I’d like to use this as a chance to add another tea to my blood orange hibiscus, so per her recommendation, I chose some orange rooibos tea. So she dumps the old tea out, starts steeping the new one. I finally get my tea(after 5 min, because I know those rooibos and herbals take that long). She gives me a small, when I know I ordered a large. The tea is watered down like crazy, very, very faint flavor. There is zero taste of any sweetener. It isn’t even deep red like a hibiscus tea, it’s literally a light orange color. Did she even make the right one? I barely drank it. Everyone I was with tried it & agreed it was not good. I basically waited over 10 min for watered down tea. I threw it out minutes after I got it because it was that bad. I’m not sure if she did that on purpose or if she just doesn’t know how to make tea or what? Like seriously though? I really feel like she did it on purpose because it happened literally right after she found out I was getting it for free. Plus she was glaring at me the whole time so… I work in retail & I would never do that to a customer even though it was a free drink. I used to buy teas here whenever I got out to old orchard, but sorry, never again.

Just did the tea tasting for 2 today and it was such a pleasant way to spend an hour of the day! Shane did an awesome job of entertaining us with some tea history and helped us choose which teas were best suited for our tastebuds. The store is well organized and everyone makes you feel welcomed. We walked out with a free gift set and samples. It is also located right around a great play for the kids to enjoy, as the weather permits.

Was en route to pick up some tea. Had gone to Teavana previously, and while pleased withe tea, price was steep, store felt a bit cramped and the sell was knowledgeable, but aggressive. Got to Old Orchard and saw another option was now available in Adagio Teas and decided to check it out. I liked everything about it. The layout of the store, the ability to peruse at my leisure, the quality of the product, the disposition of the staff and the value. So please to have found them. If you drink tea, I highly recommend it.

We did their Tea Tasting for Two with Carla yesterday, and it was such a great time! If you’re someone who likes to learn about the history behind tea while tasting fresh and awesome blends, try this spot out. How many times can you go into a store where every person there(Elliot, Carla and Shane) are so much fun that you remember all of their names? If you get the chance, do the Tea Tasting! You get to take taste any 3 blends that they have in the store. There are also many air-pots with hot tea around the store to try as well. As you go along, and as you interact with the awesome associates in the store, you may end up trying 5 or 6 teas before you leave! Our favorites were the Silverneedle, Rooibos Vanilla Chai and the Dr. Who blend. Great experience with great fun to take home, too!

There is literally nothing bad you can say about Adagio! I loved the entire experience. I think the assistant manager was working the day I visited and she brewed up a bunch of great samples for the store, but also eagerly offered to brew up a sample of anything else that we felt like trying! All the teas smell/look all natural and fresh, they come packaged in airtight tins or resealable bags, and the prices are not outrageous either. I love that you can order online, but I will really miss the store experience. Adagio, please move to Houston!
