An undiscovered diamond on the West Coast. Our pleas for them to move to SoCal have fallen on deaf ears.

Overrated and overpriced. Nothing fancy here folks, in what I’d call a sort of hit/miss type eatery. The charcuterie appetizer was uninspired, with meat and cheese selections that might be purchased at any decent grocery. Both salads we tried, beet and caesar, were good and nicely presented. The steak was very tasty and cooked as it should have been, served with some dull haricots verts and sided with some sort of potatoes gratin. The risotto was just okay, and the pasta primavera was lacking. The chocolate soufflé tasted quite good but the small lemon cake bites were dry, and so unremarkable that I don’t remember the name of the dessert. The building and décor is very warm and comfortable, and it’s a shame that such a wonderful space is being underutilized. The service was good except for two hiccups. While explaining the menu to us, we were informed that the soup du jour was priced incorrectly on the menu, and that the real cost was in fact $ 2 more. I thought that was in poor taste, and the owner should either eat the mistake(so to speak), or fix the menu. The other problem, my wife ordered a glass of red with her main course, three times, from three different waitresses! It finally came about halfway through her meal. The prices were on par with restaurants of this type in large metro settings, but the quality just didn’t justify them. And for Sisters, the prices were downright pretentious. At prime time on a Friday night, during the holiday season, the place seemed very slow. Perhaps they have to charge such steep prices to cover what appears to be a fairly large overhead, without the apparent customer turnover needed to support it. I’m more than willing to pay a lot for an exceptional meal and experience. I paid a lot at Latigo for neither.

First, this is not somewhere to get an affordable meal. It’s fancy, indulgent, expensive dining. With that said, my husband had the Elk steak and said it was the best meat he’s ever had. My filet mignon was the best I’d ever had. Excellent wine, very on point staff. It’s beautiful inside, pretty lighting. With our two entrees, 2 appetizers, beer for my husband, 2 glasses of wine for me, and shared dessert, our tab was $ 135. A wonderful splurge and we weren’t disappointed in any way. We’ll be back.

We were traveling through Oregon playing different golf courses and longing for a good meal. Something other then bar food. Read the reviews on Latigo and decided to give it a try. What a surprise to find such a great restaurant is such a small town. I had the bouillabaisse which was the best I have ever tasted. The service was excellent. I just wish I lived closer, it would be one of my favorite places.

Arrived a few minutes before our reservation. We were seated in the bar and presented with an appetizer menu. Drinks were served and our table was ready at the requested time. There were only 3 other parties the entire time we were there, so the short wait seemed pointless. When we tried to order one of the appetizers on the first menu we were told NO, that’s only available in the bar. Then, when my husband asked for a small adjustment to his meal(less spicy), again were told NO, that’s the way the dish comes. Not I’m sorry, not I’ll check with the chef, just NO. We won’t revisit this restaurant or recommend it to the many people we known who frequent the area.

4 to 5 stars for food. 1 to 2 for experience. We really like to engage with the staff with warmth and humor. Didn’t exist here. «The chef will not allow any order until it is complete» meaning if you want an appetizer you can’t have it ordered prior to everyone ordering their complete meal. Seems the priority is about the efficiency and the chef more than the guests. Okay. We will frequent friendlier and more accommodating establishments and everyone will be happier.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here! I can’t say enough about this restaurant, everything was perfect. The wait staff were excellent and very pleasant. The rolls are very different then normal restaurant fare. I had the risotto which had a melding of yummy flavors and my husband had a steak, which(I think) had a cherry sauce. I’m not a steak eater and it was amazing. We also had the chocolate soufflé. I have not had a soufflé this good since my last soufflé at the Musso café in Westwood, Calif.(20 yrs ago) and they were famous for their soufflés! Just an overall fabulous experience! We will be back!

My group of 20-something girlfriends and I came here before our dinner reservations for a drink. The bartender was very friendly and the drinks were FANTASTIC. When my friend ordered a Mint Julep, he asked if he could make a variation of it — he’d been«inspired» by something he saw so she said yes, and was very pleased with the result. Although the cocktails were amazing, I had originally wanted a beer but was told they have nothing on tap(wince). Now, the lounge was sort of… odd. If you’re coming for a drink or to sit in the lounge, keep in mind that we were the youngest group there by about 20 – 25 years. The interior décor is masculine with oversized high leather-backed chairs and couches, with paintings of oxen, which was fine but I felt like the sports on TV really ruined the atmosphere. Four stars for impeccable service and the cocktails, one star knocked off ambiance.

Suburb dining experience. The atmosphere was relaxed yet fancy, candle lighting smooth music cloth napkins-Excellent! Every flavor was full, my wife loved the bread, and tender juicy meats. It was kind of expensive but a really great experience. Everything was ordered and came exactly as ordered, professional staff that kept everything cleaned and filled.

I was passing through Sisters on my way to Bend for a work trip… saddened by thoughts of the dismal hotel restaurant dinner I was going to be experiencing that night… when I saw Latigo. Man, did I make a good decision to stop! I had the risotto, which was incredible & mushroomlicious! Great ambiance, amazing service, in fact when I noticed they forgot to add my Manhatten to the bill & brought it to their attention to settle up(karma), I was told not to worry consider it on the house. A small gesture that will make this my place to stop when I’m in the area!

I’m an avid Unilocal user, however this is my 1st review! YAY! This was our 1st trip to Sisters and we didn’t know where to eat, so of course I used my handy dandy Unilocal app & saw the rave reviews by other Unilocalers! Plus, the receptionist at Five Pine Lodge where we are staying said since you’re celebrating your Birthday you should go to LATIGO! I was impressed from the moment we walked through the doors, which was held open by a worker as we approached & greeted with a warm & welcoming smile. As we entered I was immediately mesmerized by the ambiance, a very intimate place. Since we were celebrating my birthday it was perfect! Our waitress which I don’t recall her name was amazing & knowledgeable, she suggested a cocktail since I couldn’t make up my mind & it was oh so Yummmy! She also gave us feedback on the dinner selection since we weren’t really sure what to order, & boy did we LOVE what we got! My hubby ordered the Wagyu Beef which OMG we’ve never had & it was seriously the most delicious meat I’ve ever had in my life! It just melted in your mouth, I’ve never had beef that tender ever! I ordered the Prawns with Risotto & it too was also delicious! We were in foodie HEAVEN! Then since it was my birthday I got to choose a complimentary desert of my choice, I went with the apple crisp & boy did I make the right choice! Not only was the presentation gorgeous, it was the BEST apple crisp I’ve ever had! I highly recommend dining here if you are staying in the area or passing through! I’m sure You won’t be disappointed! Mahalo nui Loa LATIGO for an awesome Fine Dining BDay experience! Aloha A HUIHOU(goodbye, until we meet again)!

Wow! Lucky Sisters for being the city where Chef Tim and his brilliant wife decided to open Latigo! This dynamic duo gets everything right, from the big fireplace, white linen table cloths and beautiful open beamed architecture, to a well rounded wine list, and food that goes beyond diners expectations, to staff like Tyson, who delivers impeccable table service. Oh… and the best bread basket in town! Highlights of our meal included a butternut squash soup with pork belly. It was dubbed«Perhaps the best soup I’ve ever had.» A roasted vegetable and pasta dish in garlic and white wine sauce that made a meat lover drool. A short rib that fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. And, a duck breast that was«perfectly cooked and flavored.» Comparatively speaking, Latigo is on the highest priced end of restaurant food in Sisters, but it is well worth the investment! It will be our«go to» restaurant when we’re in town!

Celebrated our Anniversary in Sisters over the last few days and Latigo was a highlight for sure. Since it was Monday and«off season» most fine dining establishments are closed. what a treat and pleasant surprise to find this place open. Since their website said make reservations for the best possible experience, we did and would recommend doing so to others(open table was easy and they were expecting us) Tim even brought out our bread with a very sincere Happy Anniversary wish. On to the food. we started with an organic butternut squash soup with pork belly and some crazy apple gastrique swirled on one side and some other amazing swirly stuff on the other. everything worked together in blissful harmony. The wife ordered a Wagyu Beef Coulotte with slow roasted, coffee-cocoa crusted, fig and molasses emulsion, garlic herb smashed potatoes, crispy shallots, asparagus and was saying over and over it was the best beef she ever tasted. she finally shared a bite and it was like no other. My filet was cooked perfect and had a chanterelle mushroom jus that was out of this world, both were paired with a great wine suggested by the wonderful knowledgeable staff. We will definitely come again and recommend this place to family and friends, our stay at Five Pines was amazing and the dinner here was a perfect addition to one of the most luxurious stays we have had anywhere. P. S. the portions were spot on, if you are looking for a huge plate of food from unknown sources. so you have left overs that will feed you for a couple days… then this is not the place for you ;)
