Costa Flooring is the Beltsville, Maryland Lumber Liquidator’s installer. I had them do a room that is about 170 square feet. It took them about 3 hours to do it. The pros are that they know their product, do great work and do it at a competitive cost. The floor looks great. Marcos is knowledgeable about the product. The individual wood pieces are parallel and aligned correctly wall to wall which is a sign of good work. The baseboard and shumolding look professional. They will do free quotes. They also will move the furniture around for you(not necessarily out of the room) as a part of their service. They will also remove anything that is left behind. If you go to this l.l. location, see if you can ask them the questions about the product because they know a lot more than the l.l. sales person. There are quite a few cons. It is hard to reach a live person. They are a little inconsistent in telling you what materials you need and how the process would work. When they came 6 hours late, they looked at what I had and told me that I needed 2 threshholds. I didn’t know what that was and I thought they were going bring everything else. Their estimator or my l.l. sales person for that matter didn’t tell me that. So they have to come back to finish that portion. Not a desirable situation. Also, I was expecting a call back to pay for the service using my credit card, but they didn’t get back in touch in time and they asked for a check instead on the day of the service. I suspect the cons have a lot to do with the cost. I imagine they are in high demand because they do good work. I called around to 3 recommended installers and their quotes were $ 200 — $ 400 more excluding installation of shumolding and moving the furniture from the room. If a high quality job at a great cost is your priority, then i would go with them. If you’re looking for exceptional customer service and worry free process, then maybe not.

I recently had wood floors installed on the second floor of my condo. I went to Lumber Liquidators to look at wood and was kindly greeted by Marcos, one of the owners of Costa Flooring. He was very knowledgeable about the wood and recommended that which was most similar to the flooring on my first floor. After deciding that I was going to do it, someone from Costa came to take measurements so they could get me a quote. I checked the quote with some people who are familiar with the flooring business and they thought the quote was fair. After that, it was time to book the installation. They sent three guys over and they finished the job in a day and a half. They worked really hard and took away all the existing carpet and any trash from the boxes. My floors look AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend Costa Flooring to anyone considering flooring renovation.
