My Real Estate agent Nurit Coombe recommended ELcc and apparently ELCC has done satisfactory work fior her clients in the past, however we never got that far. My agent explained the job, Joaquin Pena of ELCC provided an estimate(based on sq footage and type of finish). It seemed reasonable(both refinishing and replacing an oak wood entry.) We choose refinishing because it was good OAK. We scheduled a time for him to come and look things over first hand to finalize the deal. When he arrived(my agent was not there) his priced climbed. First he doubled it, then added a little more. His reasoning was, the job was small and he would have to dedicate workers for longer than needed and that would drive up the cost. But we gave him a far estimate of the square footage, even allowing for more than actually existed. My wife was frustrated as we are pinching‘ pennies till the house sells, and she felt she would do it herself instead. We rented a sander, took all everything to bare wood and stained it, but left the stain on too long. It turned out terrible. We had to do the whole process including sanding all over again. It has been a trying time in our relationship because it’s still not a shade we think compliments the rest of the wood(the reason the agent wanted it done in the first place) People say it does not look good, and the agent has not even been to the house since as far as I know, and appears to have given up trying to sell it(instead waiting for me to drop the price to something people will overlook the floor for). All because of ELCC deciding to inflate their price, and we could not in our current situation justifying such a premium just due to how this vendor resources his personnel. I would never recommend ELcc due to how they conduct Business.
