Party of 5. Our server was friendly and attentive. She helped me by instructing me how to eat my salmon bowl. The peanut sauce was not my favorite. The appetizers and entrees came out expeditiously. The mango and sticky rice was divine.

Alas, my search for good, quality Thai food in the Silver Spring area is over!!! I stumbled across Amina Thai a few weeks ago as i was walking home. Since then, I have both ordered delivery and eaten inside of the restaurant. The restaurant is quaint, but I would much rather enjoy my food from the comforts of my couch. This review is for the delivery. I must confess, that I live so close to this restaurant that the fact the I pay for it to be delivered either means it’s that good, or that I’m incredibly lazy. I am a creature of habit, and therefore seldomly deviate from my normal order of Panang Curry or Masmaman Curry(please excuse any spelling errors). Both are simply divine! The curry is always delicious with the right balance of creaminess and flavors. The vegetables in both are always extremely fresh. The participate in the Eat24/Yelp delivery service which is also very convenient. The ordering process is seamless, allowing you to customize everything from level of spiciness to special directions for accessing the building. The delivery is always quick and the food arrives fresh. I do acknowledge these things could simply be due to the fact that I live within a 5 minute walk of the restaurant. Overall, i am certainly a fan of Amina Thai. I understand that they have a location in Rockville as well, so I am happy that they decided to come to Silver Spring.

New Thai restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. We had the red pumpkin curry and spicy fried rice, both of which were great. Friendly staff, got us out in time to catch our movie. We’ll be back soon.

My boyfriend and I have ordered from Amina Thai an embarrassing number of times in the past few weeks, but it’s the only thing we ever want now. The estimated delivery time is usually about an hour, but we have always gotten our food in about 20 – 30 minutes. Our new long term relationship with Amina was sealed tonight when we got a call from the delivery driver, after dropping off our food order, because he had forgotten to give us our drinks. We hadn’t even noticed the drinks were missing, because we were stuffing our faces with delicious fried bananas and curry. The curry dishes have been our favorites, but I was also really impressed with the drunken noodles. Tip: the online ordering on Unilocal is fine, but it doesn’t show the whole menu. Use Seamless to get extras including drinks and desserts.

Delicious. Could do without the strange tomato and cucumber garnish for the fried rice though…

My go-to Thai dish is pad kaprow with tofu. I always order it as my «tester» when I visit a new Thai restaurant, but I’ve already tried it at their Rockville location, so I decided to try the mango red curry with tofu. I’m in trouble — I want to make this dish my new go-to but I don’t think they have it anywhere else! #firstworldproblems haha. I know that there are at least 3 other Thai restaurants in the immediate area, but it’s definitely worth giving Amina Thai a try. Also, although it didn’t apply for me, they state that all of their meat is halal.

I took a break from my normal thai delivery to try Amina Thai for the first time. I ordered chicken massaman curry and chicken pad see ew. The food was delivered in 30 minutes, which is pretty gpod for a Sunday night. The pad see ew noodles were overcooked and had a mushy/slimy texture. Also it tasted more of broccoli instead of sweet soy sauce. The massaman curry had a good flavor, but it was very greasy instead of creamy. Overall I was not impressed; but maybe I need to try the drunken noodles or panang curry since everyone has said good things about both.

Most amazing Thai in the area — always worth a visit to either location(Silver Spring or Rockvilke).

I was nervous returning to the DMV with my boyfriend. Having lived there for 19 years, I found that the DMV’s food was below standards of the rest of America. That being said, I’m really happy that I found Amina Thai. The food was really tasty and exceptional. The prices weren’t bad and the service was great. My family ordered Green Curry, Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, and a bunch of other dishes that I can’t remember the names of. I tried a portion of every dish and loved the delicious flavors. The next time I come to Silver Spring, I’ll make sure to return to Amina Thai.

I was looking for a late quick take out and this little spot fit the bill. I was warmly greater, bantered a bit with the chef and walked out 10 minutes later with a huge portion of excellent«drunken noodles». I highly recommend this family owned local treat!

Having been the third Thai restaurant at this same location within a year, this was a pleasant surprise. The décor was slightly redecorated from the last few owners and was given a updated look. I dined here lunch on 10÷26÷15 and can say the Mussamun Curry and Panang Curry were delicious. They were both ordered(spicy) which was a couple notches above the standard spice level for these and they came out with just the right amount of kick and not overwhelmingly spicy. A couple of suggestions to the owners/managers…they may want to revisit the idea of including a free soft drink and maybe knock off $ 1 per lunch entrée to stay competitive with the several other thai restaurants such as its neighbor Kao Thai and down the street… Charm thai. Also the additional charge of $ 6 for shrimp at lunch time may be a bit steep if not smart marketing as I cannot imagine anybody paying $ 6 extra for shrimp when the entrée itself is $ 9.95 with Chicken/Beef/tofu.

My office decided to order from Amina again after an issue we ran into with another Thai place in the area, and we were super impressed once again. The service is amazing. When you call in to order, they are super nice, helpful, accommodating and honest. The food is very good. While the Pad Thai isn’t my favorite here, their other dishes are fantastic. Love their spicy eggplant and drunken noodles! And delivery is ONPOINT. It’s FAST and the delivery is always on foot. Strongly recommend this place!

Good food, but prices are higher than usual. Yesterday I ate there and my bill was $ 17, today I ordered the same, it was $ 19… go figure. I hate when places take advantage of customers like that. Not going there any more.

Service was very quick and very accommodating. I ordered the roti with curry chicken, and it was super delicious. The portion sizes are pretty large, so there was enough for leftovers. I’d definitely come again!

Amina Thai has come to Silver Spring! For those of you who know, or have been to her location in Rockville you will have to come out to the new location! Hands down the best Thai food in the DC Metro area! Everything tastes homemade and fresh and the hospitality can not be beat. For a real taste of Thailand this is a can’t miss place!
