I’ve been going there for the most part for a number of years but have jumped around for the coupons and great«new patients» deals with my girls’ cleanings bc we have no dental insurance. They also offer the«new patients» deals and I had mentioned to them that they have it backwards they need good deals for the loyal patients and soon after they began offering contests and other fun ways to save $ on their services or winning other prizes. So one of the times we were there we had come back for a few cavities to fill and we pay cash(no ins) so the game at that time was something like if you’re back to finish a plan the dr suggested you can pick a pumpkin with an «amount off» from $ 5-$ 100. My hubby picked the $ 100 one for his and I picked a $ 50 one for my daughter’s acct. They weren’t very enthused from the reaction I perceived, but as far as I was concerned I was very happy bc we pay for it all w/o ins! So here is my complaint and the biggest reason why I won’t give them any more business. My little girl is 6 y/o and was losing her first of the two front teeth on top. Both were loose but the first one was so ready to be out but she babied it bc when it was really loose she bit the wrong way and the tooth jammed into her gums and made them bleed. She was very scared and it hurt so she REALLY became even more careful not to bother it… She wasn’t eating or drinking very much bc she was worried about swallowing it too!(My poor kiddo!) She wouldn’t let her dad near her at all and I would help brush her teeth but she would pull away if she thought I was trying to help that tooth along. We tried to comfort her and showed her it’s natural for it to come out.(My girl is so freaked out about blood or body wounds and such.) She was keeping her mouth open to not disturb this now dangling tooth plus not eating, so I told her we would go see the dentist if it doesn’t fall out over night. She took comfort in knowing a dr is going to make it all better! It was so heartbreaking to see her so scared. I was figuring if I called them and told them the situation about how scared she was and how she’s not eating or drinking and keeping a washcloth up to her mouth to catch the drool bc she can’t close her mouth due to the dangling tooth that they would squeeze her inbetween if possible-I mean there was a gap all around the tooth, she just needed really the comfort of knowing the dentist will help and fix it! I was willing to pay like a office charge which I thought of the average $ 65-$ 75. We were consoled over the phone and given an appt that day when I called first thing in the morning. I told the person(Sarah) all about it and she seemed genuinely concerned, so I am under the understanding they know this is only for my daughter’s piece of mind. We came in sat and waited awhile and then went back to sit in a chair. Dr Roney was only in there for less than 5 minutes he took more time saying hi to her than what actually happened with the tooth. He spread some gel(anesthesia) around and set his hook tool between the upper gum and the hanging tooth and it instantly fell right out of her mouth almost to the ground. He got up said that’s it and walked out. So I am at the counter now and I get this total of $ 188 — WHAT??? And This was after them not charging me an exam charge of $ 104! So it would of been a total of $ 292!!! I was in total shock and could barely talk afterwards. I guess they must of been still pissed about us winning the $ 100& the $ 50 game.
