I too have been a patient of Dr. Fedon since I was a young lass. I continue to patronize the Fedon Family Practice, as it is now known, and recently received a filling from his daughter, Dr. Jennifer, who recently joined his practice.(Yes, I am ashamed of my filling. Please don’t judge me. I brush my teeth, I swear.) So far, I think Dr. Jennifer’s work is as good as dental work can be — does anyone really give five stars for a filling? who actually enjoys dental work? — but it has been a long time since I got a filling, so I don’t know what to expect. That being said, it has been a long time since I got a filling *precisely* because of what the last reviewer mentioned: the Fedons’ conservatism in treating their dental patients. Also noteworthy is Dr. Jennifer’s bedside manner, as I was very anxious about my filling. I have a real good imagination and was horrifying myself as she worked on my teeth, frenzying myself with nightmarish scenarios(«omg! what if the Novocaine stops working?! what if she is working on the wrong tooth?! what if this cavity is life threatening?! i didn’t get my affairs in order!!!»), and she stopped mid-drilling to soothe my nerves(and promised me a xanax for my next filling). It has been about a week and I am still alive — so far so good. If I’m still around in a few weeks with no problems, I will update with a few extra stars.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Fedon since I was a kid. His hygenists are great, make you feel very comfortable. I trust his opinion, because he’s never encouraged dental work that wasn’t necessary. I actually went to a new dentist when I was living in Chicago who told me that I had 10 cavities and needed tons of work. Feeling the shadiness, I returned to Dr. Fedon who knew that I just had some darker spots on certain teeth and didn’t have ANY cavities to be drilled. It’s great to have a dentist that you can trust!
