I went to have an interview nearby and so decided to come for a coffee break afterward. Environment & Internet: The place is big and open, many seats available and pretty classy looking. There are art paintings/drawings on the wall by local artists which is awesome. They have plug-ins with seats next to walls, also free wi-fi without password which is great. So easy to get connected and yet the internet speed is not bad at all! I am actually here now and I see at least 5 people is on their laptops but the speed for mine is still fast and stable. Coffee & Donut: I had a 12oz latte for about $ 3.00 and a apple fritter donut for about $ 2.75?(not sure). Total is $ 6.50 which is not a bad price! Okay so the latte foam is thick and milky but not too much of it. Just a perfect layer for the latte. And the coffee itself is amazing! I only ordered 1 shot and it’s very strong already. Not too bitter and still with a good strong decent flavor. I give it a 5! Apple fritter is a meh… Maybe I like the TopPot one so much I think this one is just ok. I can’t tell if there’s even apple chunks and even apple flavor in it! Only a strong cinnamon taste with a tiny bit of apple. Overall: I give a 4 stars. Good place to work and just chill for a whole afternoon. Since the place is big and wide open, even some people talk louder than they should it doesn’t bother me. And coffee is good so coffee lover can give this a try. I will come back with my friends for sure and recommend this to everyone! #SupportLocalShops!

Best points: open and inspiring space(tall ceilings, brick walls with artwork), superb natural lighting, friendly staff. Good for doing work! Food & drink Chai latte: really enjoyed the relatively stronger spiciness that sits at the tip of the tongue, didn’t have coffee so can’t comment on that. Chocolate croissant: this was a little disappointing. The layers were pretty thick and balled up, making it more like a chocolate scone rather than croissant.

Good coffee, reasonably priced. The service seemed okay, although I did not deal with them directly. Small issue with the men’s room being our of order. They have a great location. I do wish they had a sofa or a couple of soft chairs to sit in.

Great place to get coffee! Ordered a bag of coffee and they also ground it for me. I also ordered a couple of cappuccinos as we took a break from our walk around the city. I liked the open air feel and even though it was crowded, it wasn’t very loud. I also liked the chairs because they looked like old school classroom chairs which are heavy and durable. Friendly staff… interesting hip Seattleans to look at. Definitely a great place to come to!

Best place to get coffee when you’re in the southern edge of downtown or eastern part of the International District. Great coffee, efficient and fast service. Good wifi. When in the area I try to get coffee there and use it as a meeting spot.

I stumbled upon this place after being dropped off at the bus stop a couple blocks away. The coffee here is top quality. It’s very cute inside and it’s an excellent place to study or just read a book. I really wish we had a café this awesome in Los Angeles!

Stopped by this afternoon as I was cruising around Pioneer Square. I’ve only been here about half a dozen times so it was nice to see it still going strong. This place has a large open area to sit and enjoy a coffee or a snack and outside seating. Great people watching options. They have hemp, almond, rice and soy milks! Options are always a plus. Service was fast and friendly. My dark chocolate hemp mocha was tasty. Overall, thumbs up Thank You Zeitgeist

I don’t get downtown much. I don’t drink coffee much. But I was taking an out of town friend around Pioneer Square and this happened to be one of the few places open on Labor Day. The drinks we had were good, and we were happy to have a quiet place we could write and sketch for a while while recharging. Then we debated how flawed the English language is. The staff seemed a little«meh» but the drinks were made pretty quickly and bathroom key location was happily pointed out(they probably get asked about the locked bathroom a lot, the keys are hanging on a column in the middle of the counter, near the register). I’d probably recommend this place if I were downtown and wanted a caffeine fix.

One of the BEST hot chocolates that I’ve ever had came from here. Maybe it’s because I requested almond milk instead of cow’s milk(mostly because I didn’t realize that was an option). But that, along with whipped cream and a copious amount of shaved chocolate from the shaker, made this the most wonderful Friday morning ever. The baked goods looked delicious, but I was saving myself for an early lunch, so I can’t speak to those. Seriously though, love Zeitgeist, and I’ll definitely be back.

Zeitgeist is a coffee house located in Pioneer Square. It is in close proximity to CenturyLink Field and King Street Station. I have been on a search for new coffee shops in the vicinity of downtown Seattle that are good spaces to work out of. And I believe that I have found a new option with Zeitgeist. This space is terrific. It is large and the interior has high ceilings. There is local art on the walls and they have the prerequisite free Wi-Fi. No password required, FYI. Outside the shop, they have a couple tables if you prefer al fresco dining. And if you pay for your purchase with cash, they give you a 5% discount. When it comes to the working out of coffee shop thing, the coffee itself is not as important as the space. But fortunately the coffee here is great. I like the lattes here which are bold tasting. The reason why I can’t give five stars is that I am not sure about the reliability of the Wi-Fi. On my last visit, I was working here for a half hour when I suddenly lost connection to the Wi-Fi and wasn’t able to get back on. I will have to give them another try to see if that was an one-time thing or a recurring issue. Aside from the Wi-Fi issue, I have to say that I like Zeitgeist. There is a lot of room here, prices are reasonable and the coffee is good. Assuming the Wi-Fi runs fine, I would recommend this spot as a coffee shop to work out of from. Not to mention a good place to meet people for work or play since it so spacious.

Zeitgeist — the customer is always wrong! I wanted to love Zeitgeist but after my last experience I won’t be back. I will not support a business that refuses to do right by its customers. I enjoyed the Zeitgeist Americano so much that I choose to purchase a pound of French roast for home brew. On Saturday morning I was looking forward to brewing a great coffee for my wife and myself. I opened the bag of beans and instead of a luscious, dark and oily roast I found pale, dry beans that made my Dad’s Folgers look gourmet. Brewed in my French press the result was pale and weak so I turned to my trusty Capresso and loaded the gold cone filter to the brim. This did result in a dark cup but still no aroma and no flavor except bitterness. I assumed that as with any competitive and respectable business that Zeitgeist would be willing to make this right. Boy was I wrong. I explained to the barista that I was not satisfied with the product. Unfortunately the barista said that she did not have the authority to resolve this and said that the manager would call me. Well the manager did not call so I came back to the shop to once again try to get my dissatisfaction resolved. Instead I met the owner and explained my dissatisfaction and his only words where ‘no one else has returned his coffee’. After about four rounds of this he still made no offer whatsoever to do the right thing. Not even an I an apology. I gave up and said he could keep his beans and my money. I won’t be back to Zeitgeist and definitely won’t be recommending it to my friends.

I am not a coffee snob so I can’t really tell the difference between good brewed coffee vs. dunkin, etc. I got an iced coffee(~$ 4). It didn’t taste any better than dunkin… but like I said I am not a coffee snob. If you are a coffee snob then I suspect you will enjoy this coffee shop because they seem to really know what they are doing when it comes to brewing coffee.

The first sight of this cafes makes me want to go inside because it’s very classical and warm. I ordered café latte and lunch sandwich with green salad. The coffee is my favorite in Seattle. The sandwich you can choose cold one or warm one and it’s much bigger than I imagined. The salad is also good. I really have a good and relaxing time here.

Just when I was starting to think that maybe Starbucks was OK after all, I have coffee at a place like this, and I remember what good coffee should taste like… This is my go to spot in the Pioneer Square/ID area. It’s just blocks away from the Jackon St bus stop and King Street station, and also a good starting point for your Pioneer Square adventures(close to Intrigue Chocolate, London Plane, Salumi…) Good coffee? Check. No, make that excellent coffee. Space for sitting? Check. Wifi? Check. One of my Seattle favorites.

Our new favorite hang out while waiting for the train! We happily found this lovely little coffee and tea café recently while waiting for a friend to arrive on the train at the nearby Amtrak station. Her train was delayed an extra 30 minutes, so we had ample time to wander around and just enjoy the lovely crisp clear air of the early Spring morning! Zeitgeist is at once impressive and familiar. Walking in the front door its hard to miss the beautiful bar that extends the length of the café. Rich colors and tones from the wood, the exposed brick and the antiques around — it’s a feast for the eyes! They seem to have a pretty straight forward menu with coffee being the main attraction. But with no coffee drinkers in our little party of three that morning, we still found hot chocolate and tea options that each seemed quite thrilled with. The Jasmine Pearl Tea and the Earl Grey Tea were the two favorites. Some fresh fruit and cookie — they have snacks too! haha! Combine this with nice comfy tables and chairs and a good WIFI connection — we were all set! Right in the heart of Pioneer Square, now that we’ve found Zeitgeist, no doubt we will be back more often and not just when we’re waiting on a train! Character and Charm points… the antique type letter catalogue by the door. The little drawers are full of treasures and chotskys… feel free to explore and even add your own for others to marvel at. Very cool!

They burned my coffee last time I came :(And still not impressed with one particular women’s service… or lack thereof. Sad. This place is a quick walk away and I’d much rather have enjoyed their shop over the nearby Starbucks.

Probably the worst coffee experience I’ve had lately. Staff is either blind or so opposed to being helpful they might consider a career change. I know the lid and sugar station is within your sight line, so when I ask twice for water cups I know you know there aren’t any just as well as I do. Baked good are expensive and taste awful. They didn’t offer to heat my ham and cheese croissant, but it is doubtful that would have even helped. The sugar cookie was really bad texture and didn’t taste good. Awful, awful. You couldn’t pay me to come back.

I’m from the east coast and used to starbucks and wannabe cool coffee places. The coffee was strong and mean. I was very impressed with the fixin’ bar they have. They have brown sugar cube. Mind blown. This would be my go to place to kill time before my [insert event] at Centurylink Bathroom was very clean.

I love the feel of privately owned, well established, local community fixture type of coffee shops. Brick and mortar this is, with a urban old charm to it. Near the King Street Amtrak Station as well as the Century Link Football/Soccer field this place is a great getaway to sit and relax with a hot cup of Joe. I tried their Americano so I can gauge their espresso flavor profile and timing… it was fantastic… oils intact, non-burnt, and a homely warm feel to the cup. Employees are proudfully working there and have that eclectic feel and vibe about the place. Perhaps this is what«Seattle Coffee» is really about.

Great vibes, great coffee and great customer service, Zeitgeist is a Seattlite coffee shop through and through. I stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 5PM and found the coffee shop to be fairly empty(which was great, because I needed a table haha) I loved the high ceilings, brick walls and the warmth of the wooden furniture. Try to grab a seat by the windows on a nice day! They serve a pretty solid cup of coffee as well — I went with my typical latte. :0 I don’t venture down to Pioneer Square that often, but Zeitgeist is a good go-to when you’re looking for a break from the typical Starbucks drip.
