Pizza so good, I shared it with seven other people! Came right within the delivery window(about ten minutes to spare) and was hot and delicious. Will be ordering again.

Oh goodness where to start. We got the classic with pepperoni added. This is what we’ve been looking for in a great pizza. Crust to filling ratio is perfect! The crust is crispy and I love the semi burnt parts. The filling is delicious! The sausage is spicy and the pepperoni, mushroom, and bell peppers are cooked just right – not soggy but with some crispness. The sauce on top is sweet and rich and doesn’t have a sour taste. As for the pickup, it was kind of hard to find but its in the parking lot of local 6SIEU. You let them know you’re there and they come out and give you the pizza. Very friendly guy and made sure everything was good with my drive there and pizza. If Guy Fierro still had his triple D show I would recommend him to come here. We’re definitely coming back!

Finally we have found great pizza in Seattle… yes, a bit of a trek… and yes must order at least a day in advance(as other Unilocalers have said)…and yes, feels strange and dodgy in an empty lot until magically your beautiful pie comes out made to order by its chef to personally deliver it to your car. Nice. With directions on how to hold your masterpiece safely on its journey home. Must hold FLAT. Made with love. Obviously. Though only one size, please do not be deceived. HEFTY and will easily serve 3 – 4 easily… or 2 people for 3 days. The dough is puffy and chewy, unlike Unos(if you are familiar with that) and it reheats very nicely next day(just as the instructions say – does not change the integrity of the pie at all). Pricey, but worth it because they are not mass producing and skimping on product and they are putting in the heart and soul into it. Also, they were Beta testing flavors – cool, shows that the chefs are into experimenting and changing up menu. Love that. Oh, and one last thing, we accidentally messed up our personal order and for some reason came on the wrong day(or something? I forget the specifics), but the owner was cool and knocked off 10%. They are just nice people who are passionate about what they do. Nuff said. GO. Yum. Worth it.

Had the Sweet Pete and the Hot Island and both pizzas were delicious. I believe Kylie’s in Fremont is the only other deep dish option nearby and in my opinion, this beats it. The crust initially looked charred but was actually quite delicious. The sauce was nice and garlicky and the jardinière made for a good balance to the richness of the cheese and meats. The toppings were very generous. They’re a bit spendy at $ 27+ but worth trying. One pie will feed four adults or two gluttonous fatboys.

I was in Seattle last week and had an opportunity to try Windy City Pie while I was there. I’m very glad I did! I had some of the Hot Island and Brussels Snout. White sauce pizzas are not usually would I would choose, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Brussels Snout. No individual component of it was overpowering, and all the flavors complemented each other and meshed really well. The Hot Island was my favorite — the sauce and sausage were just amazing, and pineapple, jalapeño, and garlic balanced it all out with some spicy and sweet notes. But the best part for both pizzas was the crust edge with the caramelized cheese. If you look at some of the pictures, it looks like the crust is burnt — it’s not, and in fact it might be my favorite part of the pizza. Overall, I get the impression that a lot of care goes into these pizzas. Besides getting the individual ingredients right, you can tell that there’s a good amount of thought that goes into how they all work together to make a «the whole is greater than the sum of its parts» pizza. Highly recommended. My only complaint is that they don’t deliver to San Francisco.

One of a kind. They have an online ordering system where you put in your order and they send you an email confirmation with pick-up times. Once you get a confirmation email, you drive to the middle of nowhere in the Industrial District and wait on a street corner for someone to deliver the goods. It all felt very Jason Bourne-ish… or drug dealer-ish… but the pizza is totally legit. We ordered around 7:30pm on a Sunday, and the ordering process was really seamless. I’d never tried deep dish pizza because the concept just didn’t appeal to me, but I’m so glad I gave it a try. We ordered the meatza, which was as rich and calorie-intensive as it sounds. The crust is crispy on the edges, and soft and chewy underneath the monstrous amount of cheese, assorted meat toppings, and sauce. Now I know why they call it pizza pie, it’s truly more like a pie! It comes un-sliced so we cut up small slices at first… and then gluttonously helped ourselves to bigger slices. Between the two of us, we could only finish about half the pie because it was so rich and filling. Thankfully it was just as good reheated. Highly recommended, even if you don’t think you’re a deep dish pizza kind of person.

I can’t believe I found this place. My wife and I were just talking about how sad it is that there’s never been any good deep dish in or near West Seattle. I love Paggliacci and Zeeks, but they don’t have it, and seemingly every other new place we’ve gotten lately is wood fired thin crust. I like that too, but I want to mix it up occasionally. I actually entertained the thought of ordering from a shitty national chain, but then I decided to try a Hail Mary and Google for thick crust nearby. Lo and behold, Windy City Pie! This place is just as fancy and high end a product as your favorite local wood fired stuff, but it’s Chicago style. In other words, it’s $ 25 – 30 for one pizza, and it’s gloriously delicious. The pizza are all small, but dense, and I was able to make 4 adult servings with one pizza. Excellent crispy cheesy crust, and luscious greasy toppings. As a lifelong Seattleite I can’t claim to be a thick crust expert, but this hit the spot. Thank god I didn’t have to call Dominoes. My only complaint is the lack of a professional storefront. They are operating technically under a catering license, which means you need to park awkwardly on the street and email or text your order to them, then they’ll «cater» it out to your car. Definitely a shady and borderline illegal practice, which I hope they improve upon as they grow. Delivery would also be nice. I’ll be back though for sure.

I heard about this place from a guy who had never been here that lives in NYC and grew up in Chicago. That’s the most normal part of ordering and getting pizzas from Windy City Pie. Yes, they deliver the pizza to your car. Yes, you only order through the website, and hope they approve your pickup time. Yes, it’s worth it. A single pizza really will serve 4 hungry adults, unless you’re a serious overeater or want to feel sick with meat and grease sweats. In my case, it’s two meals for my wife and I. I ordered a Classic and wasn’t even the least bit disappointed. The ratio of crust to cheese to sauce to toppings is perfect. I wasn’t wishing for more or less of anything, except maybe more stomach space so I could keep eating.

Windy City Pie serves amazing pizza but a few inconveniences keep it from a full, 5-star review. First, the pizza: I ordered a «Meatza» pizza which came with sausage, candied bacon(so good), and pepperoni, in addition to the standard red sauce and mozzarella cheese. The ingredients are piled on a crust that was crispy on the bottom, soft in the middle, and delicious throughout. Together, everything was amazing — a fantastic pizza that I’ll be coming back for in the future. As for the size of the pizza, it was enough for me and my dining partner to both have two meals(the initial meal and one of leftovers the next day. The pizza re-heats well, by the way). As for the little flaws precluding a 5-star rating, these include: — The first time I tried to order a pizza, it was in the late afternoon/early evening. Turns out, they were not accepting any more orders for that day. What a bummer! I feel like a big part of the appeal of pizza is the spontaneity that often comes with choosing to eat pizza for a meal. But real talk: this pizza is worth planning/ordering ahead for. — This business doesn’t have a store-front — you park in a parking lot and a person will emerge from a building and hand your pizza to you. Not too big a deal, but something to be aware of, especially if you’re ordering in the winter and it’s dark outside. Note that this business does have a delivery option, which I have yet to try. Overall, the pizza here is incredible and I will be coming back.

The fact that it doesn’t have an address alone is mysterious enough for me to check it out. Then all the good reviews and that you have to order days before pickup/delivery made me more curious. So my boyfriend and I finally decided to do this. It is worth the wait, the drive, and«risking» a slightly fishy pickup(well that’s for the effect and it wasn’t fishy at all). I have never had any Chicago style pizza so I didn’t have anything to compare with. The one from Windy City Pie is simply delicious. Needless to say it’s a very thick pizza, yet it still kept a light texture with juicy filling and easy to bite on. Meanwhile with all that sauce and meat, the pie wasn’t at all overly rich. It was a fun experience, I liked it, and I will recommend it to my friends.

This deep dish is good, I tried their original and veggie as it was ordered for a work lunch. Both were delicious. I can’t tell you about the building as this was take out but from what I am told is they are a caterer and you meet the guy in a alley. Deep dish done right here in Seattle check them out

Its been a while since I’ve reviewed something, but Windy City Pie deserves it. I’m a pizza lover, I don’t care if it’s NY style, Chicago style deep dish, if it comes in a circle, or if it comes in a square. Good pizza is good pizza. With that said, I’ve been craving Chicago deep dish for sometime and was referred to Windy City Pie. I got one order of the Meatza. This was a great pie, arguably the favorite in Seattle right now. The tomato sauce had a slight kick to it, the candied bacon added a nice subtle sweetness, and the crust… bomb. Can’t wait to order my next pie from WCP.

Ok. True story here. I work for an organization that has company lunches, often, and pizza always feeds the masses. Well, I called up my friend at Windy City Pie for a catering order so I could show these people what a real pizza tastes like. It was a small group and I ordered 4 pies… needless to say, they MURDEREDTHEM! Especially the Hot Island. So fast forward a day, after a very happy hour I was oh so lucky to get a pie on a Friday night. Double sausage with onions and mushrooms. When I say double sausage… I mean DOUBLE. SAUSAGE is on this pie. Listen to me, Seattle, stop what you’re doing, because Windy City Pie is about to ruin the image of pizza pie that you’re used to. If you know anything about 90’d rap, you’ll get what I’m laying down. EATTHISPIE!!!

I grew up in Chicagoland — sure, I spent my childhood in the suburbs, and sure, I spent my college years in the cornfields of Urbana-Champaign, but it was still Chicagoland, dammit! And I spent five years living in the city proper after graduation! I count, pay attention to me! Anyways — I’ve missed Chicago pizzas ever since moving away from Illinois. I mean, there’s the occasional Lou Malnati’s when I go home to visit, and I guess I *could* technically get it shipped out here — but it just doesn’t feel the same. I went to Kylie’s in Fremont every couple of months when that was open, and it was good — but when they closed, it left a hole in my heart. Enter Windy City Pie. I’ve been hearing about these guys for a while now, and I finally decided to give it a shot. «How bad could it be?» I thought. «At least I’ll get to be snobby about my hometown food if the pizza’s no good.» Later that night, as I waited on a darkened street corner for a pizza to be walked over to me, I thought that perhaps my initial estimate of worst case was a bit on the light side. Luckily, the man who came out of the shadows delivered a pizza to me, and not a stabbing. It’s definitely a weird purchasing experience, and sort of off putting — but sort of cool, too, if that’s your thing. On to the pizza! The pizza was fantastic. It’s not quite like Lou Malnati’s — they seem to take some inspiration from Papa Del’s(in Champaign), with a softer, chewier bottom crust. The tomato sauce is also saucier, and a bit sweeter. But the proportions are right, the taste is right, the texture is right — and they bake cheese into the cruse edges. It’s fantastic — I think it’s better than Kylie’s, which was already respectable. I’d highly recommend this place — and I really hope they open a storefront soon!

Deep dish pizza Chicago style is only a dream for most folks in our corner of the universe. Fear not, Windy City Pie has you covered, with some awesome pizza that will leave you saying«Hey hey, holy mackerel!». The business model is more than a little quirky, especially if you live on the eastside, but the hassle is worth the effort. We tried both the sausage and vegetarian pies and preferred the more traditional meat version. The sauce is tangy, the crust as from the old country and the overall presentation a thing of beauty. Picking one of these babies up for a dinner visit to one of the area breweries would be an awesome date night.

Look folks. I don’t want to hear it. I don’t care if you’re upset you have to go and pick this pizza up from a weird dimly lit street corner in Sodo. I don’t want to know about how many buses you had to take to get down there from Snohomish, or how you had to reload your car2go membership just to make the trek from Mercer Island. I don’t care. And trust me, by the time a grinning Dave delivers that sizzling, fragrant 7lb box full of the holiest pie you’ll ever see outside of the sky, you won’t care either. The toppings are great in their own right. House made sausage with just the right amount of kick, a generous but not too heavy melt of nice mozzarella, and that fresh made chunky tomato sauce — all great. And yet, all pale in comparison to that crust. I could live off that magical ring of dynamic flavor and texture, cooked just below burning to produce a caramelization the likes of which Maillard never dreamed! Just order some. And then pick it up. With grace and quiet.

The first thoughts that come to mind after downing half of a pie are wow, amazing, brilliant, how was that crust so caramelized?, I can use some coffee and I can’t wait until next time I order from here. Windy City pie is the real deal and it’s in Seattle?! We got the Sweet Pete and the Meatza for our first taste of the Windy City pie and it was amazing. The sausage was fantastic and the best part of the crust is that it didn’t get overly soggy even with delivery in fact it was still nice and crunchy. The candied bacon is the best thing to happen to pizza since mozzarella and red sauce. It’s awesome! The rest of the meats were also delicious and the sauce was great. Next pies on the hit list are the Blue Pig and the Hot Island which the chef said are a couple of his favorites. Stoked to find this gem in Seattle.

I hate to be the only non 5 star review, but I can’t say it was indeed ‘As Good as it Gets’ — it was really, really good, don’t get me wrong, I mean REALLYGOODPIZZA. But for me, having lived just a quick jaunt from Chicago for a few years(where I partook of many CSPs) and being a total pizza snob, I have to say the crust wasn’t what I was expecting from a true Chicago Style pizza. I expect something almost pie-crust like rather than a more traditional pizza dough, but if that’s not what you need in your CSP, go RUN there because other than that, it was AMAZING. I love, love, loved the sauce, fresh tomatoes ABOUND, and the toppings(natch I got the Blue Pig with candied bacon and bleu cheese) were truly truly some of the best I’ve ever had and the crust with the caramelized cheese was still really, really good. The fact that they are offering the ability to go pick up with 90 min notice as of now and do offer delivery if you order in advance, are both lovely. I would love them to let me know how much it would be including the tax in advance as I showed up at the(kind of funny car service pick up) with cash but almost not enough. But I’m a purist, I admit, and while I’d totally get this pizza anytime, I can’t say it’s crust lived up to my Chicago dreams … still, that pizza tho… it’s confusing, maybe I need to try again.

Yep, I’m one of those Chicago natives(that was actually born and raised in Chicago, not the burbs, but that’s a whole different rant) who claims to know his deep dish. This is damn good deep dish. I had a chance to try this pie on the rec of a friend. This isn’t a brick and mortar store operation(yet) — contacted the owner and chef(David), who whipped me up my favorite: Spinach, Mushroom, and Garlic. Picked it up, and gorged(reluctantly had to share with my girlfriend). The pizza was incredible. The dough was thick and had bite(can’t stand deep dish with fluffed up crusts … much like an over inflated muscle from taking roids). A true test of deep dish is water content — does it ‘seep’ when you cut it? This doesn’t — the sauce and veggies were done right(garlic roasted quite nicely). The sauce and cheese were great and not over-the-top. All around, really really excellent. One more thing: the crust has caramelized cheese on it, much like the famous Pequod’s in Chicago — awesome touch. In Seattle, there truly isn’t a better option for deep dish. Kylie’s in Fremont is solid(I won’t poo poo it), but I like the crust at this spot more. I know Paxti’s opened up in Ballard, and while also solid … it’s kind of a chain(probably has 15+ stores across CA and CO). This is an upstart(right now), so you have to order in for a party /amazing dinner. I’m cool with that, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of pie. There are also amazing meaty options(bacon and blue cheese pizza looks like the next one on my hit list) — can’t wait.
