Open and bright with lots of windows. Excellent Americano and a limited food menu. Service was adequate but not terribly friendly — that and the limited and not terribly comfortable seating keeps it from being a five star choice.

Ordered an 8oz latte to go at 730am, got a cup of over foamed(bordering on burnt) milk and bitter espresso. Like the previous reviewer, should have gotten an americano. Ambience and location are nice, outdoor seating on Westlake, several tables and a bar inside to sit down. Pastries are par for the course. There are several amazing coffee shops in this city but if you’re stuck in this area of town, Wheel House will suffice.

They messed up my drink 2 different times today, not very good at listening to directions.

I went in here for the first time today even though I work nearby. The atmosphere is pretty drab and the staff seem really aloof and bored, not friendly. I won’t go back, I prefer café Ladro which is nearby and their drinks are better.

The staff here are incredibly disengaged and unhappy. The coffee is ok, but the staff’s miserable attitude make this place a MUSTAVOID unfortunately. It’s too bad too because I work nearby and would visit daily if the drinks were better and the staff friendlier.

Simple drip coffee this morning. Maybe the best coffee I have had. Truly had notes of cinnamon and spice all on its own. No clue where they get it but it’s great. The staff was really friendly without being fake. Their bathroom was clean. A great business is not rocket science. Simple and delicious coffee. Good customer service. 2 bucks and 5 stars.

One of my favorite things about coming here is the awesome staff!!! Ash and Amber are great baristas: always friendly, keeping the environment happy and healthy, and making some DOPEASSCOFFEE. I would seriously go here every day if I could

This place is an ADORABLE oasis in South Lake Union. The space is shaped like a boat, there’s always good music playing, and the ambiance is cozy and understated. What I like most of all about this place, and hence the 5 stars, is the brilliant staff. Wheelhouse has a disproportionate amount of smart, talented and character-rich employees at the helm, many of whom are also local musicians or otherwise anchored in the community.

Last day for my internship. Grab a cup of coffee and have an half hour chat with my mentor here. Cute cup, great environment, I would miss this place.

I got a hot chocolate and a local(packaged) juice. I love the vibe of this little local coffee shop. We sat at the bar at the large windows and people watched while we enjoyed our drinks. My hot chocolate was ok(I have had better) but the juice was awesome!

And I thought my preference on coffee is super dark and bold. This place throws that thought away as I took a sip of their latte. Super bold and tasty is my description of that latte I had.

I wanna give this place a higher rating so badly because the space is nice and my soy latte was great(and by great I mean the saving grace on a hung over Wednesday morning). Still, I can’t call it even 4* when the entire place smelled like the inside of a very well trafficked litter box. I had to stay and wait for someone, and it was honestly nauseating.(They’re dog friendly and I think that’s wonderful, and honestly this didn’t smell like dog.) Whatever it was, it’s not what I want wafting around my coffee shop.

So far their red eye(called a shot in the dark here) is the best I’ve had in Seattle. They have a small selection of pastries as well. I’m holding onto the last star until they decide to serve everything bagels w/vegan ‘cream cheese’.

It’s surprising that with all the great coffee shops in Seattle there aren’t that many in the actual downtown core. I work nearby and whenever I get enough time I can actually make it outside this is where I head for a coffee break. They do a good job pulling the shots, and they have good cold brew. They also have some beers on tap here, but since this is my work-hang-out I haven’t sampled that yet(or so I say). Only dinging it one-star for being blazing hot inside sometimes when it’s really sunny(such lovely windows, but oh-so-hot, need exterior sun-shades).

One of my favorite little coffee places in the downtown Seattle area. I like to come down in the mornings to read and sip on some warm-something. I enjoy big windows — an abundance of natural light. The baristas are decently-nice enough. There are plenty of good coffee and pastries to go around. The place is good for meetings I think. I have seen quite a bit of those. Tip: Bring a light jacket with you if you want to sit inside. I don’t like cold air blowing out of vents, and this place definitely has that going every once in a while, like after 10 mins I feel the need to put on my sweatshirt. Also, do try their cinnamon cake, it is delicious. Also, if you want to sit on your own, there are plenty of room by the window.

Great location as it’s situated in the sun. Great little coffee shop to sit and soak up the sun, especially on their outdoor patio. Great coffee that’s always made to order. Free wifi. Its location is perfect for people watching whether you’re on a weekday or weekend. It’s within walking distance to all that is worth going to in SLU.

I go here many times and today I got a bad experience hence a three star. The lady there made 8 ounce cappuccino which is already half froth made only half a glass with the froth. I finished it in two sips. When asked tries to bullshit me by saying cappuccino is only froth half the way and hence half class. This shows their unprofessional nature. Otherwise I like the place. They always have good art collection which they refresh every now and then.

Strong cappuccino brewed with very dark roasted, bitter Lighthouse espresso beans. Disappointed that they consistently over foam the milk, and next time would prefer a standard Americano. Cute spot on the corner with lots of outdoor seating though, some indoor seating, and free wifi! Pro-tip: They do not accept AMEX.

Good option to for a coffee break if you work in and around Denny on Westlake in downtown Seattle. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside the place. The outside bench seating is a must try in the summer where you can relax and have a conversation with the city hustle and bustle moving around you. They offer free wifi to all patrons. Need a quick bite and want to avoid the the long lines at lunch hour — highly recommend the veg and non-veg burrito here. These are pre-packed but they toast it for you to enjoy. The coffee at the place has a bold taste and for tea lovers they offer a myriad of loose teas to chose from. The service at the place is friendly. The place is without any of the pre-fabricated sterile constant upsell experience you get when you walk into some other places.
