Local bar and burger place. Was in Seattle for a work trip and just wanted a low key place to relax and get some food. Great burgers and good selection of craft beers. Seems a little like a hole in the wall local favorite. Great service and good food. Felt right at home.

LOVE this place. Their pomegranate cider is delicious. The employees are down to earth and friendly. The service was quick both times. I’ll be back!

Sorry Two Bells, had lunch there today and while I really don’t like to criticize small businesses, I felt I had to write a review. Frankly, it was embarrassing: the burgers are ridiculously small, came out nuclearized, the salad is about two heaping tablespoons, the prices are high(for what you get), waited about 5 – 7 minutes for someone to come over to serve me(though the food was brought out relatively fast and the server was attentive after that). tl;dr: I’ve seen better burgers in elementary school cafeterias. This would be a 1-star review, but you get an extra star for good bacon and blue cheese chunks in the dressing on the salad, and I could see this being a good drinking bar. I usually try to give a restaurant two chances because sometimes they do certain items better than others, but the first go-around was so poor, the chances of other items being acceptable is slim to none. Edit: spelling

Fantastic and short evening out. Exactly what I needed after flying in from Australia. I sat at the bay was immediately welcomed by both of the amazing bar staff, whose names accidentally escape me. I ordered the max and cheese, passed on the hot sauce. It came with a large salad with choice of dressing. I went with ranch. The barman, a top bloke, asked me for a beer preference. He let me sample a couple of pale ales before I settled on a choice. Very reasonably priced. Good atmosphere for a Friday night and both local and out of Towner friendly.

Pretty good place with decent burgers and great soups. They have a very middle america vibe going on. I’m not sure what I’m basing that claim on concidering I’ve never been to middle america… but, let’s just pretend that’s true and move on. There’s lots of space for larger groups of folks. And, I really don’t have anything else to say. I feel like there aren’t a lot of pros or cons to mention. It’s just a decent bar/burger joint. Burgers seem somewhat inconsistent based on my experience, but not to bad.

I love this place! Great bar atmosphere and the food is so great; however based on the«old school» bar vibe, I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed by their burgers. Bar staff is really friendly and to the point. No fuss. I recommend.

Had the sandwich special, roast beef and cup of chicken and dill soup. It was good, which is why I say 3⁄5 stars. Nothing special and different. Just good. Nothing wrong with that.

Not a single thing wrong with these place. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed it from the minute I walked in until the minute I walked out. Great food and drinks and service. There is rich history within this establishment, which makes it even better. Love the oldies music especially.

Good burgers, good beers, and a comfortable low-key setting — that’s what you can expect at Two Bells Tavern. Getting a table or a spot at the bar shouldn’t be too tough, and the service was friendly and quick. The beer list is pretty solid and features some local WA and other west coast brews at $ 4 cup/$ 6 pint/$ 20 pitcher. The menu is mostly burgers and sandwiches along with a couple of salads and soup of the day, plus whatever they have on the grill. I had the blue burger, with cracked black pepper and blue cheese. It was served on tasty french bread rather than a standard bun, which was a nice touch. Burgers and sandwiches come with a side; the potato salad(and I don’t normally care for potato salad) or soup of the day would be my recommendation. Don’t forget to check out the beer garden!

Two Bells Tavern was a solid place for dinner while we were in Seattle. I’d give it 3 ½ stars if that were an option. This place seemed like a regulars kind of place. Small & intimate pub/bar. Server was friendly, though he got slightly less attentive after our food was served. I ordered a Moscow Mule to drink but it was served in a high ball rather than the traditional copper mug. Flavor was more intense in the first few sips, then seemed to become too watered down. For dinner I chose the regular burger, which is an unusual choice for me. I’d hoped for soup, but they only offer a soup of the day & the one offered didn’t sound appealing to me. The German style cole slaw that came with my burger was quite good. The burger itself was pretty tasty. It seemed to have a sauce with a kick in addition the the lettuce & tomato fixings. Perhaps a chipotle mayo but this surprised me since I think I ordered it with no mayo. Regardless, it added some extra flavor and I was hungry and didn’t really care to investigate. Overall, it was a nice, casual place to spend our evening and almost earned 4-stars.

Burgers are amazing. You have to try it! Took one start off for the environment. I ended up ordering my burger to go as the inside is a little disorganized with people coming in and out or just standing around the bar area or even blocking the aisle chatting.

Stopped in for some lunch. This place is a bit divey, and there weren’t a lot of people dining. I had the tavern burger, which was actually really delicious. It was a bit on the small side, but it was enough for me. I had the potato salad with it, which I thought was ok.

This is a review of a lunch with my brother at Two Bells Tavern. The ambiance is relatively what one expects from a traditional pub. It was also clean and neat. The place was pretty empty though. I think there was only one additional group there. The staff was pretty friendly and responsive. Ok, the sign says something about ‘Famous Burgers”. I am not sure what this is about or why they think their burgers are famous. I had the BBQ Burger. My brother had the Tavern Burger with potato salad. These were mediocre burgers. They were both overcooked and there wasn’t much else going on with them that would garner fame. BBQ Burger(Bacon &BBQ Sauce) For mine, the BBQ sauce just seemed like something dumped out of a bottle. The bacon was bacon and bacon is almost never completely bad but there wasn’t anything special about this bacon. I am also not sure why they bothered asking how we would like our burgers cooked. We both said medium rare and we both received very well-done. The bun/roll was very nice though. It was soft but still sturdy enough to hold up to a a burger. It had a nice flavour that usually only comes from rolls coming direct ftom a bakery. I had beans with my burger. Once again, nothing special here. They may have been made there or they may have came straight from a can. I couldn’t really tell. My brother’s Tavern Burger(Bacon & Grilled Onions): Plus really, if you are going to feature burgers, invest in a fryer and offer french fries. Receipt(Lunch for 2): $ 31.91 Overall — This looks like a decent place to settle into for some beers. But, as a place with a sign that says«Famous Burgers», it just didn’t live up to the billing. We thought they were very average burgers.

Next place on my list of burger places to try was Two Bells Tavern. The sign in front of the tavern said«famous burgers», so that was a good sign. I ordered the Tavern Burger with cheddar cheese.(Tavern Burger has bacon and grilled onions, but no cheese, but you can add cheese for $ 1.25.) The waitress asked me how I wanted my burger cooked, and I told her medium-rare. Sadly, the burger that they gave me was burnt to a crisp on the outside, well-done on the inside, and dry as a desert. I rarely ever send food back, and I even tried to soldier through it and eat the burger anyway, but the burger was just so badly burnt that I sent it back after a single bite.(The phrase«this is unacceptable» was uttered at some point.) The second burger I got was much better, although still closer to a medium than a medium-rare. It was greasy, juicy, and fresh hot off the grill.(Perhaps a little too fresh hot off the grill. The burger continued to cook while I was still eating it, and by the time I was done, it was a clear medium-well.) The bacon was perfectly cooked. Not too crispy, but still cooked through. The bun was tough and chewy and got in the way of eating the burger. If I were to rate Two Bells based on the second burger alone, I’d have to say it’s a pretty decent burger. But my first burger was burnt, and my second burger was still overcooked, and everyone else’s burgers were overcooked by about two doneness stages. So overall, it was a pretty bad experience. I don’t see myself coming back.

This place is amaze-balls! I had the Tavern Burger with swiss cheese! The combo with the swiss cheese and the grilled onions was a match made in heaven! The burger is a perfect size which hits the spot but doesn’t make you feel like you have a 10 pound food baby. The laid back atmosphere makes you feel like a hipster local who knows all the good spots. A must eat location!

I will have to say I was disappointed with my experience here overall. I will mention a few positives first. This is a nice and relaxed laid-back atmosphere that appears to be mainly a «locals» type of place. The staff, and by staff I mean the bartender since I didn’t see a server in the place, was friendly and attentive for the most-part. If you want a low-key place to have a couple beers — this is your place. The real issue for me was the food. Their burger is set up oddly — it is a 5oz. ball of beef served on a toasted sub roll. The bread made this difficult to eat and actually cut my lip as I tried to navigate my way to the center and get a bite of actual meat. I chose the potato salad for my side which was horribly bland and without even the slightest bit of seasoning. The price is as much if not more than most places, and you are getting less actual burger. I really wanted to like this place as it is very close to my home. Unfortunately I will not be back to eat ever again.

The best of the Belltown Pubs hands down! Those looking for a beer and phenomenal cheeseburger you wanna find your way to The Two Bells Tavern… I’ve tried to figure out the secret to the flavor but cannot, it’s so good I just continue to show up for one. Should you be looking for another hidden gem of this joint its the daily home made soups they serve that really rock this joint. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with The Two Bells not only for the food but the eclectic atmosphere you can sit back and relax in.

This place gets two stars cause the beer was good and that’s all. We ordered the French Dip and Tavern Burger. One side of potato salad and one side of cole slaw. This was the most bland experience of my life. Maybe the owner or cook have high blood pressure and are terrified of salt. I actually added salt to each bite of the half of the burger I ate. I ordered my burger medium well and it showed up hockey puck style. It was smaller than the tiny bottle of tabasco. I then looked at the menu and realized I was paying $ 12 for a 5oz burger. That’s about the size of a Mc Donald’s cheeseburger. I took plenty of pictures so you can pass your own judgement. The bartender walked by and said«how is everything?» without stopping on his way to deliver drinks to another table. After festering at how annoyed I was at this experience, I asked the guy to close us out and to take my burger off my bill. I tried to explain why and he waived his hand in my face and said«ok, ok, I’ll take it off». Maybe I need to lower my standards for delicious flavorful food? I’m half Cuban and half Iranian and our food is full of spices and flavor. I’m not expecting that from Two Bells but I’d like something better than Red Robin?! Seattle Met Magazine voted this place the 3rd best beefy burger in the city… I’ll never trust them again.

Stopped in after a movie on a Friday night the place wasn’t crowded but there was a good amount of patrons. The bartender was nice and quick. Always on top of asking if wanted another before done with our beer. The place had a great atmosphere! Everyone said hello and was friendly! Came in just for drinks so not sure how the food is but I plan to come back to check it out.
