On the recommendation of a friend, I called Tuxedo to get an estimate to prune a large shrub and a somewhat smaller shrub, and to do some yard clean up. Tuxedo was courteous and promptly came out to my home to prepare an estimate. I got a bid of $ 280 and $ 140 to do the pruning of each shrub and a bid of about a $ 1000 to do yard cleanup. The total bid was about $ 1400. I got a bid from Earth Wizardry Landscapes to do everything for about $ 300. I went with Earth Wizardry and was extremely pleased with the result. I’m sure Tuxedo does good work, but my case suggests that getting a few other estimates would be exceedingly wise…

I was online looking for their number and saw how one bad review wreaked havoc on their score. They deserve better so here’s my two cents: I have had TT&T as my yard service since 2005, across three different addresses. They are always courteous, fair in billing, and at my current address(going on 7 years), have not once raised my very reasonable rate. I think they are fabulous and recommend you give them a call. Seattle is increasingly a pricey town and these guys are, in my opinion, very honest and reasonably priced for a consistently great service.

These guys are very good, conscientious, efficient and reasonably priced. I’ve never had a problem with them and they’ve always done a good job. Can we blame them for want to work too hard(ZE review)? I admit, I never had them cut grass. Thatch, aerate and clean up is all and they were great at that.

We had these guys cut our lawn for 2 years. This summer there was a drought, and no grass to cut. They kept coming for 2 months while I kept asking them to stop! If you call asking them to stop, they send somebody out the next day(even if it’s a week before their scheduled time) and claim it was not enough time to notify their workers. They did that three times. Once we had to run out and stop them when they were already on the property. And they’re charging me for 3 times I specifically asked them not to come, once with a week and a half notice. They still sent the guys the next morning after I called, so they could say they didn’t listen to their answer machine and didn’t have time to stop their workers. I call them the Sorcerer’s Apprentice of mowing.
