This is my first 5 star rating. Keeping my expectations in the moderate range I was exceedingly impressed. Our server, Lourinda, was excellent and was right on the money when we told her we need to be out to be in time for the graduation event at Key Arena down the street. Although the place was full and very busy everything we had was excellent; the paella, the gnocchi, the scallops, the prawns with crawfish and grits and finally the spring salad(with asparagus, beets, olives, artichoke and haricots vert(French green beans). The pecan pie was fabulous and enough for four of us to share. The ambiance, service, varaeity and quality of the food will definitely bring us back here again.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday. Yes, there will be a long line. I definitely felt like the wait was worth it. I got myself a gumbo and it was a pretty delicious gumbo. A little salty, and the only other gripe I have is that it needed more rice. Okay, I really needed more rice. Parking sucks, UBER or bus here.

The food here is so good. Definitely order the chicken and duck liver. I dont usually like organs. But the liver tastes like cream and looks like cake. So smooth and just melt in your mouth. The Toulouse seafood gumbo is pretty good. Gumbo are not usually with seafood but this one actually tastes not bad, even if I don’t think it is necessarily traditional. The waitress is quite nice. She even had a shot with us. Great memories over here. But the price is a bit high.

Tolouse was our first stop while on our trip to Seattle. The atmosphere is unique and has a whimsical nature to it. This absolutely contributes to the 4-star rating. We ordered the beignets to start and they came out within 15 minutes. They came with a tasty, mildly sweet dipping sauce but the pastrys themselves were dense and too doughy. Overall, our wait was around an hour for our food, which is one of the reasons I feel generous in rating it a 4. My partner in crime got the shrimp and grits, kiddos split some pancakes, and I tried out their cured pork cheek hash topped with a poached egg. The presentation was beautiful, the shrimp and grits came in a cast iron skillet and I couldn’t wait to get a taste. My hash was topped with two perfectly poached eggs which my son mistook for dollops of whipped cream. Diving in, we were met with ho-hum reactions from everyone at the table. The shrimp and grits was dominated by a tomato-based sauce, the pancakes were far too thick(my son makes fabulous Krusteaz pancakes, so those are hard to top) and my hash was decently assembled, but not enough of a sweet or savory or anything enough to make me swoon. And it was hard to eat. Not small enough to get a good scoop of it on my fork and not big enough to stab at… it was like eating a plate of peas. And they didn’t set the table with spoons so «scooping» it wasn’t an option… weird. We were out the door for close to $ 100 and that was for BREAKFAST… and I didn’t tip as generously as I usually do, due to the long wait. That’s officially the most expensive breakfast I have ever paid for. Summing up everything– I like this place… it has a certain je né sais quoi, enough to boost it to a 4 star. The décor, the lay-out, the presentation, the high ceilings… I’d like to come back and have a drink in the evening and see if my opinion changes, but getting me to come back in the morning probably isn’t going to happen any time soon.

This french inspired cajun cuisine is just what I was looking for in a eatery in Seattle. The atmosphere was dark and intimate so would make a great place for a date night although it was just me and my roommate for the original tasting. The quality of food makes up for the slightly overpriced menu but don’t be mistaken it is worth every penny. I ordered the Crawfish & Grits which was too die for. I must say I wish the crawfish were not shelled but oh well. The service was great and we were greeted with smiles and open arms despite coming later on a Monday night. T he best part about this place is the bar and the fact that it stays open so late. This is a perfect place to go on the late night with a smaller group of people for some drinks and great food. Definitely the best food I have tried in the Queen Anne Area since moving a few months ago. Will be returning soon for breakfast. Yes, they do breakfast too.

Phenomenal! If you’re in the area, don’t overlook this gem! I went with my best friend and while the ambiance is more romantic, we still enjoyed it. We both tried a specialty cocktail and they were delicious. I’m writing this review almost a month late, and while the names of the cocktails slip my mind, the flavor does not. We had jambalaya and shrimp n grits, which were both incredibly flavorful. I wanted to go back just to sample more of their menu. Everything sounded amazing. I would highly recommend this place!

Most brunch places in the US serve similar food. Toulouse Petit has an interesting different menu for brunch! I started to like this place on gradual levels. Beginning with the perfect location in Queen Anne, the highest and one of the prettiest seven hills of Seattle. To the persistent smiles and hospitality of our amazing waitress. I learned not to ask waitresses for their suggestions, but because we didn’t know what to order, our waitress suggestions were the best! The classic chic French Quarter-like architecture was lovely. And It’s open till 2 am! Came here for a brunch with one of my Seattleite friends. Waited for about 30 minutes. The place was packed and what made us stick was the view of the beignets! Eyes are the ones who eat first not the mouth. I just finished watching Jon Favreau movie, Chef, couple days ago and been craving Café Du Monde beignets. This place came right at the perfect time! We had to order beignets twice. They were hot crispy and delicious! They serve it with a chocolate dip which wasn’t my favorite. Maybe those beignets are not as good as Café Du Monde, but we ordered them twice! Main brunch entrée was creole spicy shrimp, crawfish and 2 eggs without sausage. It was nicely spicy, creamy, pleasantly tangy and was hoping to have a bread to dip the sauce but resisted more carbs in the light of that disaster eating too many beignets. Would come back again? Hell, yeah!

Order their prefix for only $ 22. Their fried green tomato with dungeness crab was just fantastic! I also recommend ordering their cauliflower soup with dungeness crab soup. Their jambalaya was delicious, just the right spice and kick. Do make RSVP for dinner especially during the weekend as we experienced, they were super packed! This is a great place to have a nice dinner for two, or a fun get together with a large group. Staff was super and made great recommendations! Until then, be kind to one another and Cheers! ~ :p

I’d rate this place 3 ½ stars. Came in on a Thursday afternoon with my boyfriend around 6:30 and the restaurant was a full house! Even the bar was filled with people. Greeted with a friendly host and told us it’d be a 35 minute wait but we surprisingly actually only waited 10 minutes and got a huge curved booth all to ourselves! Docked off stars because we were left unattended to for awhile before our servers were switched. It was rather confusing. It seemed like a full house but it seemed like the servers weren’t tending to anyone? It took awhile for someone to even ask us what we wanted to drink and when someone finally approached us, I didn’t want to waste time and asked about the creole dishes where she pointed us to the back of the menu and I placed in an order for the jambalaya. Then our server just disappeared. She walked around the area tending to her other customers but never looked in our direction or made eye contact with us as if she wasn’t our server? I placed an order but I was never actually ASKED what I wanted to order. Then a guy brought out our complimentary bread and took care of us the rest of our stay. It was a bit weird but the male server took good care of us. As for our dishes, we ordered the truffle soup, jambalaya and cheese & corn grits. Everything was seasoned so perfectly. I usually don’t opt for jambalaya but after all these ratings, I wanted to try it out. The chicken was packed with flavor. How?!? Seems as if it was magically seasoned. The chef definitely knows what he’s doing. I could have eaten the chicken alone– that’s how good it was. I wish they had more crawfish in their cheese & grits. I’ll be back here for their lunch menu!

A favorite of mine whenever I visit Seattle. I guess it’s weird to go for Southern creole/Cajun when you’re in Seattle, but they do it fairly well here, and those flavors paired with Pacific Northwest seafood is a winning combination. Recently came here to hang out with some friends who were in town for the summer. The place is a good mix of casual and trendy, with a bar area for happy hour, and a number of booths, all in a fairly darkly-lit space. The candles everywhere and the somewhat Victorian décor make you feel like you’re in New Orleans. They have a number of different cocktails and beers, sourced from Louisiana, which is pretty cool. The menu is huge, so we decided to each get the 3 course prix fixe for $ 41. I got the cauliflower soup, the crawfish beignets, and the shrimp and grits, all at the recommendation of our server. I’d like to think I have broad tastes, so I wasn’t opposed to going by her recommendations, and it turned out to be great, especially in terms of the seafood we got. The cauliflower soup had some great subtle flavors, and was very velvety. The crawfish«beignets» were more like hush puppies, but still pretty crispy and delicious, especially with the roasted red pepper jam and aioli. The shrimp and grits were really rich and tasty, although by the end I was almost bursting. It also didn’t help that we ordered fries for the entire table, despite most of our table getting the steak and fries as their main entrees. I also tried the scallops, which were perfectly seared, and again, unbelievably huge. Service is generally very friendly and attentive, and our server was very good about getting our orders down pat. The prices might seem pretty high at first, but the portion sizes are huge, so you’ll at least be full by the end of it. Great option for a very filling meal, for all types of occasions. In the end, the food doesn’t have that much finesse, but it is filling, delicious, and comforting, so it’s a win in my book.

Toulouse Petit is AMAZING! You would have thought the chef or owner was from New Orleans but when I asked if the owner was from New Orleans the waitress said no. I was shocked. The chef definitely knows his or hers creole cooking … For sure! I came across this restaurant on Unilocal and saw it had over 2000 reviews and 4.5 stars out of 5 so I figured it must be good! Me and my husband also both like creole food. I ordered the Creole Crawfish, Shrimp and Andouille Sausage from the Creole Classic list on the Breakfast menu. It was like a rou or gravy over creamy grits and two eggs any style on top. I added provolone cheese to my eggs and got them scrambled. They were the bomb and the grits were so good. They had a slight hint of hot sauce. Very good kick and not overpowering. It’s not super spicy, just enough for a good taste. The rou/gravy was also really good and well seasoned. Just amazeballs. This dish was AMAZING. Prob some of the best shrimp & grits I have ever had. My husband ordered the Crème Caramel French Toast and added a side of eggs with cheese and breakfast sausage. The sausage was sooo good. You could taste a smoked flavor that was amazing. His French Toast was the best French Toast we have ever had. It was just awesome and the caramel syrup made it that much better. The strawberries it comes with also adds to the dish to help make it the best. Both of our dishes were just awesome! Major hats off to the chef! Overall, this restaurant didn’t disappoint and the Unilocalers hit the nail on the head with the accuracy of this restaurant. DEFINITELY a must try if in Seattle! Nails Creole food to a T.

3.5 stars for pretty good Cajun food and awesome service. * Fried tomatoes and crab — 3.5 stars: Well executed but didn’t blow my socks off. * Creole Beignets — 3.5 stars: IMO too heavy, doughy. * Fried Chicken — 3.5 stars: Fried chicken snob here. Batter wasn’t flavorful or crunchy, but I liked that it was unique — sauce on top added a unique flavor. * Sausage, Shrimp and Grits — 3.5 stars: Always a winning combo, but was surprised the shrimp wasn’t more flavorful — not a thought which should cross your mind at a Cajun place. * Butterscotch Banana Cream Pie — 4.5 stars: YUM! Chunky bananas, perfect balance of butterscotch and sweetness. Wish there was more filling and less cream. Very unimpressive store-bought-tasting crust. I’d recommend Toulouse for great options and deals for happy hour(small groups only because the bar is small). Personally, for Cajun food I generally prefer garlic noodles and excessive amounts of butter shrimp in plastic bags.

Amazing Food. Spotty Service. Weird Shower. Once I was recognized by my server, service improved. I did have a reservation but the restaurant seating filled up pretty quickly. I had the server assistant fill my water glass 3 times before I was acknowledged by someone who could place an order. I think another server recognized our nonverbal queues and took our drink order, which we appreciated. Now the food. 1 Amazing: Bacon First Course 2 Pork and Duck Rillette: Above Average 3 Dungeness Crab Grapefruit Salad: Too much Arugula. The grapefruit was too little, but the crab was nice. If it had 70% less arugula it would have been a home run. 4 Steak Crudo: Good, but almost identical accompaniments to the Rillette. If I would have known I would have decided between the two. 5 King Salmon: The star of this dish was the fresh English peas, corn and shiitake mushrooms underneath. The salmon was cooked nicely, but the veg was the MVP. 6 Steak Frites: Tasso ham sauce was great and perfectly prepared fries with a really nice aioli. I would come here just for the steak Frites. 7 Beignets: Chicory Coffee Sauce(Anglaise?) Captured two vivid memories from the French Quarter in this dessert. Now the only reason I gave 4 out of 5… On my way to the restroom, I saw a stack of clear Cambo tubs full of frozen seafood being thawed with water running over them in a sort of ghetto seafood pyramid in the MOPSINK! I actually took a picture, but I’m not a snitch. The food was that good that I can probably block this memory, but the Chef should at least put up a shower curtain to protect the privacy of his process.

I’ve been here multiple times and I always have a fond memory of its French inspired _nourriture_– «French» as in New Orleans-French. I’ve been for brunch, as well, but it’s been so long that I only remember that I loved it. The interior is lit with the warm glow of so many candles that it keeps the ambiance from being too dark. The ambiance is amped by fairly loud, hip music – it’s not a quiet place, energetic. It will probably take a while to get through the menu: salads, French onion soup, duck or chicken, meats, and New Orleans’s specialties. Of particular note is their prix fixe menu, contained therein… it’s a full menu of its own, with numerous choices for each of its three courses and its price is roughly equal to two other courses. They are constantly busy and rousing, so you might check ahead to find out how busy they are(don’t expect to get in-out quickly, if you’re in a rush). Even still, they told me, over the phone, that they would be able to make room for me since they weren’t terribly busy; but once we arrived the host said we could eat at the bar, but tables were full. I insisted we wait for a table(which wasn’t long) – I was a bit annoyed that she didn’t ask whether I was willing to wait, which I was. Speaking of waiting, this visit reminds me that their service is usually quite slow. I hate to end a review negatively, but I thought I should be complete and most people probably don’t read to the end, anyway.

How could I have not written a review already?! I went to Seattle a couple years back and a guy my friend and I met in Vegas was from Bellevue. So when we went to Seattle, he showed us around and one of the restaurants we went to for dinner was this place. I wasn’t much of a Unilocaler back then, but I do remember I liked the vibe, the setting, and the food. I remember ordering meat loaf. Of course we got drinks, which I remember were pretty strong. A few months ago, I came back to Seattle with my boyfriend and we went here for breakfast this time. Man, I was sooo in love with the beignets. I’m always curious to see the pairings that restaurants do with beignets. This one was paired with like a mocha fudge dip. Soooo on point! I ordered eggs Benedict. My boyfriend ordered some pork belly dish with egg on top. Both were delicious! He ordered a strong ass alcoholic drink to pair with bfast. That was a no bueno for me, but he seemed to like it. Our waiter was awesome, but a little hard to hunt him down. Can’t wait to come back!

Come during happy hour because the food is expensive! [SERVICE] There wasn’t anyone at the entrance to seat us when we got there, so my friend and I walked up to the bar and asked if we could sit anywhere we wanted. We sat at the tables by the bar and a waitress told us the section was for happy hour only. We told them we wanted to be seated for dinner, and they brought us a waitress right away and she took our drink orders. She was very patient with us and told us what she would recommend us getting. Great recommendations! [FOOD] The food here is way more expensive than I had imagined it to be, but they are very generous with portions. We ordered the deep fried green tomatoes and french fries for appetizers. The deep fried tomatoes came with a sauce that reminded me of the In N Out spread sauce. It was okay, but not my favorite. The fries were a huge portion and I absolutely LOVED the seasoning! My friend ordered the creole court bouillon with wild shrimp, mussels and Manila clams. There was a piece of bread with an orange sauce that came with her plate(refer to photo). I’m not sure what that sauce was, but let me tell you– it was SOGOOD. I ordered the creole jumbo wild shrimp and tasso linguine. The shrimps were indeed jumbo, and they were in no way cheap with them! The sauce was fantastic and the portion was huge. I definitely recommend to anyone coming here for dinner! For dessert, my friend and I shared the sherbet of the day and the flavor was strawberry passion fruit. Definitely a crowd pleaser, I enjoyed every single bite! [TIPS] — Come during happy hour and share the appetizers with multiple friends. — Drinks are strong, so don’t order more than you can handle — Ask for the sherbet flavor of the day for desserts!

We went for brunch on a weekday during their breakfast happy hour(ends at 11AM). Selected items on their breakfast menu are discounted during the HH. Without a wait, we were seated at a comfortable booth. I loved the elegant décor and bright colors. Our waitress was helpful and provided great recommendations, especially with their endlessly long menu. They offered us lunch, breakfast and pre-fixe menus. We ordered: 1. Dungeness Crab with Fine Herbs Toulouse Eggs Benedicts — $ 15 2. Creole Crawfish Shrimp and Andouille Sausage — $ 15 Both dishes were spectacular! The Creole Crawfish Shrimp was served on a skillet with grits smothered with seafood and sausage — A super heavy dish, but definitely worth the calories. If you don’t mind the sauce-y consistency and spicy flavor, I would definitely recommend it. This plate brought us back to NOLA. The Dungeness Crab Benedict was one of the best Egg Benedicts I’ve had. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the crab was fresh and plentiful. I only wish I asked for the chipotle hollandaise sauce on the side. The plate also came with potatoes, which were also on point(especially with that magical seasoning). I definitely recommend checking this spot out and ordering some Creole speciality dishes, as they seem to know the secrets to Southern cooking!

Always wanted to try this place and it was definitely a great first experience :) Swung by Toulouse Petit for late night happy hour and left with a semi food coma. For those who haven’t been here, this place has quite an extensive happy hour menu with pretty moderate prices. I came with a group of friends(6 people) and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Our server was quick and attentive and we never really waited that long for our food/drinks. Since all of us were crazy hungry, we went all out in ordering the food. Here’s a quickie summary of some of the memorable food: Portion wise: Most dishes were shareable and are filling enough after a couple of bites. Toulouse Beef and Lamb Sliders: Very tasty mini meals, comes with 2 sliders + option to add fries for an extra $ 2. This proved to be quite juicy, perfectly cooked, and overall, very tasty! Fried Chicken Bites and Lamb bites: These two dishes were my favorite! Crispy without being too hard, the sauces and overall texture was good and filling. Fried Oysters: cute little pieces of fried oysters that were still juicy on the inside once you take a bite. Bacon appetizer: the smallest of all dishes and was so so. Bacon was a bit too salty for my taste. Cod: Amazinggggg sauce that went with this yummy sauce. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have late night cravings since the HH menu is on point with its vast food selections.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had in my life!!! I ordered one of their many Eggs Benedict options, the one with tomato and avocado. I LOVED it! It was probably easily the best Eggs Benedict of all time! We also ordered some beignets which came with a chocolate dipping sauce and were to die for! The one downside of this restaurant is that it is so ridiculously popular and crowded that you may have to wait a while unless you have a reservation. We didn’t mind waiting. Toulouse is actually rated by Trip Advisor and the 5th most popular restaurant in the USA and they 10th most popular restaurant in the world! We knew we were in for a treat! Not only is the food fabulous, but the atmosphere is very lively, fun, upbeat, and happy! The décor is on point as well. Definitely take advantage of everything Toulouse has to offer; the food, the drinks, the beignets, the coffee, etc. You won’t be disappointed and it is well worth it!
