I stopped there for coffee this morning and the woman working the counter was SO cheerful and sweet despite my subdued demeanor. It honestly kind of made my morning. Can’t comment on the food since I’ve only ever had coffee there but the coffee is pretty good. Would definitely recommend!

Great addition to Ballard. I used to stop at Starbucks, up by the Magnolia Bridge, for my morning Latte fix. The lines are always too long. I started stopping at 3 Girls, and the coffee is better. Then there are the baked goods. Opened mostly to bake for thier Pike Market lovation, this Ballard location has a retail counter, kinda as an afterthought. I have now made it my morning stop. The cream cheese berry muffin, is my favorite, to go along with my triple latte, but I had a blueberry scone, this morning. Outstanding! And the ladies who work there could not be any nicer!!! They even have a punch card for a free dring every 10 drinks. Starbucks gold card holders get a free one every 15 drinks!!! I also had a Lavender, coconut, shortbread cookie. Very different!!! Nice mix of flavor!!! Highly recommended!!!

This place is great. Very friendly staff, tasty and unique selection of pastries, and reasonable prices! I feel pretty darn lucky that this place is so close to home in Ballard. There’s also a pretty nifty collection of locally made fine art(and a couple amazing artists on staff… ask about the owls!) We frequently get sandwiches over the weekend and they are always really tasty. I must mention the bread– it’s all good but the rosemary garlic bread is incredible. They bake the bread downtown where we usually pick up our loaves during Pike place shopping trips, but I’ve been told they can order them to the Ballard location for you. All in all, a really fantastic bakery.

Okay, so I drink decaf. My bad. But it really is about the ritual, and I have high blood pressure. So they don’t serve decaf. Not brewed or latte. They said no one drinks it and it’s a waste. Seriously? They can’t pull out a Mr. Coffee and make a cup of decaf? AND the pastries were not nearly as good as Honore’(very close by). Highly unlikely to go again.

This is a great place to stop by in the morning. Its cheaper than most places for breakfast and desserts and REALLY good. The ladies were extremely nice to us.

Stopped in here on Saturday morning when Sir-Wakes-A-Lot had us up at 6am on our«vacation.» Nice selection of pastries that made it almost impossible to choose in my state of half-dead-from-lack-of-sleep. We walked away with a bag full of goodies and a coffee and wolfed them ALL over the next 24 hours. Ham and gorgonzola pastry was my personal favorite, while Mr. Cara enjoyed the raspberry and cream cheese muffin.* The friendly proprietor-on-duty was also kind enough to call it an even $ 20 when it rang up to $ 20.67 since I had no change. Just around the corner is the darling Ballard Corners Park, which is a 5-star use of space in its own right, and boasts one of the coolest concrete sculptures I’ve ever seen. Not to mention a just-dangerous-enough-to-be-fun minimalist play structure that had all 3 of us climbing like monkeys. *Miles enjoyed them all!

It was awesome! The girl there was great and the food was good and cheap(as long as you get something from the display window), I only paid 2.50 for a ham & fets croissant! Though a full sammy is 6.50. And chocolate for 2.00, it was heavenly. I would greatly suggest going to this shop for food.

2 part review … averaged out the rating to 3 stars Part I: the sandwich I was excited to try this place after hearing all the buzz about their pastries and sandwiches. So I headed over there on Saturday afternoon and ordered a Havarti cheese sandwich on sourdough with lettuce and tomato. The bread, cheese, lettuce and tomato were all fresh. Overall not bad, although at $ 6.75 the price is steep for such a small, basic sandwich despite requesting extra lettuce and tomatoes. I posted a picture of my sandwich, along with the looming toothpicks that almost emphasize it’s wimpy size. Also, if you get their dijon it’s hot-hot-hot. Part II: dessert This was a 2pm visit on a Saturday, and I was thrilled they still had the ever famous rugulas available. The apricot-walnut rugula is divine! Also tried the oo-la-la, a shortbread cookie with chopped pistachios and dried cranberries: amazing, and very festive looking. The wrap-up: Planning on stopping back in — early in the day — to try their croissants and assorted pastries.

This place does delicious baked goods. We regularly stop by and pick up a few things on weekends, and everything we’ve had so far, from the meat-and-cheese pastries to the traditional desserts, has been excellent. I have to say that the cheese danish didn’t seem bland to me – I do tend to be pretty sensitive to tastes, so it might just be that it’s geared toward my tastebuds more than others’. And I would kill for one of their apricot-walnut pastries. It’s also nice to sit on the bar stools at the window and watch Ballard go by. It’s a tiny place.

Can you say delicious? This bakery had some amazing pastries. After several minutes of just staring at the selection I finally made a choice to try their Brownie with nuts. It was delicious! If I am ever in the neighborhood again I would like to try one of their berry scones and maybe bring some home. :-)

I also think I am going to have to try again another time, due to the fact that I was entirely underwhelmed today. I stopped by this morning thinking I’d get some sort of awesome breakfast pastry for my kid, something a little healthier for myself, and hopefully some sort of delicious artisan bread. I based this thought on my memories of visiting the original Three Girls location in the Pike Place Market as a kid. We always got a couple of loaves of bread, and I always got an apple fritter. So now I’m wondering about today — was I doing it wrong somehow? For I spied nary a loaf nor a fritter. They did have almond croissants(my favorite) but I passed in favor of what I hoped would be the healthier spinach and feta. I have to echo someone else, that the filling seemed a bit skimpy. The pastry was great, but a little boring without enough spinach or feta. I didn’t see a single truly kid friendly breakfast delight, so I settled on a cookie for later. So did I come too late for breakfast goodies? Maybe I should come back for a sandwich for lunch? I’m gonna go make a sandwich now, as I am still hungry from breakfast…

Ordered the Baked Salmon Sandwich — choose your own bread and whether or not to include their toppings(mayo, horseradish, tomato, onions, lettuce, cheese). Very very good. The salmon was superb and very well cooked — doesn’t have the lingering overly fishy flavor and very tender. Ordered it with a french roll — good bread. I think it would’ve been better had they toasted the bread or at least warmed it up. That and grilled cheese… Yah, that would’ve been perfect! Anyhow — the baked salmon is one of their signature sandwiches. They also have turkey sandwiches and lots of pastries to oogle over. Though, I can’t really remember the pastry so much as the sandwich. =)

I guess I should go back here again, because I was kinda underwhelmed the last time I came in. I was greeted by a very friendly lady, and I took a couple minutes before I made my selections. After some glancing, thinking, and more thinking I got: a cheese danish, a spinach and cheese croissant, and a vanilla latte. My total was over 8 bucks, which was a little steep. The danish was a bit bland, and the croissant was even more so. Maybe I went on an «off» day? Ill come by and try and sandwich.

Poppyseed rugalach is my crack and these girls are my dealer. I love that stuff. Buttery, moist, and ever so delicious. They really have a nice assortment of baked good and everything I’ve tried has been tasty. Better than the run of the mill stuff you find at most bakeries in town. They clearly use excellent ingredients and it shows in the final product. Friendly service, pleasant surroundings, and good baked items, It doesn’t get much better than this.

Finally! A good deli sandwich in Ballard that won’t break the bank. I’ve gone here 3 times now to have their sandwiches. It is no frills with the usual meat suspects of corned beef, roast beef, turkey, etc. and minimal condiments, but that is all you need when the ingredients are fresh and the bread is to die for! The folks behind the counter are thoughtful enough to even wrap the two halves of the sandwich separately, so you can enjoy ½ later. I’ll be back to try their pastries… Other tips: They open at 8am Sunday which is better than most bakeries in Ballard. Closed Wednesdays(as I found out today when I had a sammich craving!) Stay away when it is Ballard High lunch time!

NOMNOMNOM! On a whim, I stopped in this morning and picked up pain au chocolate, ham & gorgonzola pastry, and a spinach and feta pastry. So freaking good! The pastries had just enough chewiness and flakiness, and were moist and tasty. I saved a pain au cholate and half of each of the savories for my husband, but MAN, I don’t know if I can hold back. If you live in north Ballard and work downtown, you should make this your morning stop. It’s conveniently located on 15th and it’s so worth it. :)

Chillin in Ballard and was gettin hungry. Drove around a little and boom… Three Girls in Ballard! Some good stuff, nice to see outside of Pikes Place. So the wife, kid and I went on in. I had the meatloaf sandwhich it was amazing. My wife had the Hummus Veggie sandwhich. Good ingredients equals good food. Fresh baked bread great service a perfect day with the family. While we were eating the lady behind the counter brought us some stuff to sample from the bakery. YUMMY! We ended up buying a ton of baked goods, we were meeting up with family later and wanted to bring a little something. I give the sandwhices a 4 star and the baked goods a 5 star. If you are in town check this place out!

I work just down the street from the new branch of Three Girls Bakery in Ballard and finally stopped by on my way to work yesterday morning. I have issues with choosing just one thing, so I bought a box of pastries from myself and my coworkers. Though the cream cheese danish was just okay, the palmiers were amazing(I almost slapped one out of my coworkers hand so she wouldn’t take the last one). Perfectly sweet and crispy/flaky yet chewy, just as they should be. I’ll certainly be back, and next time I’ll try one of the sandwiches that seem to be well reviewed.

Good stuff. I’m excited that Three Girls opened shop right in the ‘Llard. Bakeries where you can get a good ‘ol regular, no frills sandwich are few and far between these days. You know what I’m talking about… the kind of sandwiches made with regular, hearty 8 grain or rye bread(no ciabatta, no baguettes), topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. The kind of sandwich that your mom or your grandma might make you when you go home to visit and they ask you if you’re hungry. Yeah. Three Girls makes THOSE kind of sandwiches. I enjoyed my massive roast beef sandwich here, and though the horseradish threw me for a bit of a loop– hot, hot, hot– it was an A+ sandwich. I’ll definitely be back a sandwich again soon. Btw, it’s $ 7 and change for a huge sandwich. Gotta love those 1990s prices. :) They also have a mad crazy(= good) selection of baked goods. Rugelach, croissants, pastries, cookies. The apricot rugelach they let us sample was great! The people here are sweet as pie… helpful and informative. If they love working there, it shows in both their service and their product. I hereby give Three Girls Bakery my Unilocal Stamp of Approval!

I hadn’t had a Three Girls Bakery sandwich in WAAAAY too long — lucky for me they recently opened up a shop here in Ballard! How exciting! I came in today and got Roast Beef sandwich which was very good. Someone please remind me later about this sandwich as it was so delicious, I ate it super quick. The location is not the best, but my guess is when school starts up they’ll have more foot traffic from Ballard High School.
