Overpriced and underwhelming. Don’t get the lavender latte. It’s super sweet and the flavor tastes like burnt potpourri. The Vashon roast drip coffee was pretty good though.

I’m new to the neighborhood. The batista are nice and the setting is great. If you don’t want to head up to the top of queen anne hill, this is your best bet on this side of the hill.

Great coffee, friendly down to earth owner, homemade pastries, comfortable seating… oh, and great coffee! What else could you possibly want in your neighborhood coffee shop?

I really like this place and had good luck with the coffee till recently. I went 2 days ago and the barista that day wasn’t as good as the other visits.

This is such an awesome place. I love the atmosphere during the day and the coffee is great. Its a fun little piece of Seattle that everyone should try in the Queen Anne area. The lavender latte is amazing!

I’ve driven by a number of times, but today on a long walk, I decided to grab some coffee. Nice space, friendly staff and even some impressive artwork on the wall. I’m usually a drip coffee guy, but I had read on Unilocal that the cardamon latte was worth a try. It was very good, even with an Orange peel twist. I didn’t eat anything but will definitely go back. I just wish they had more chairs outside.

Love the atmosphere here! Employees are super friendly & the café is very clean. I love that they have board games I can play while drinking my tea.

The Seattle Grind is in my top 5-favorite coffee shops in Seattle list, and let me tell you why: 1. Location: The location is really great(it was a hike from First Hill, but well worth it) as it is in a semi-quiet neighborhood-ish place. It was a treat to sit outside on the comfortable wooden(is that a thing) chairs with so many trees around me. 2. Interior: Open, bright, and welcoming. There was a comfortable couch, some seating by the ledge(hello, people watching) 3. Drinks: Ever since a friend mentioned that The Seattle Grind has a lavender latte, I was sold. I would highly recommend the cardamom latte, though, as it was SOGREAT. 4. Etc.: Friendly folk and tasty treats

If you are having a happy Saturday morning like I was I don’t advise you get coffee here. I had been to the grind before and loved the local feel and the coffee so I went out of my way to go back. The woman working was so incredibly rude and it wasn’t just to me, she acted the same way to the woman after me. It was like going to Dick’s Last Resort, but without the funny hats.

Great coffee! Amazing coffee actually. They have homemade flavors like cardamom and lavender– try the cardamom latte– wow! Nice vibe and a variety of comfortable seating options. I’ll be back with my laptop to lounge on the couch and get some work done. My only suggestion is to hire a cleaning crew. The window ledge has at least a month’s worth of deceased flies, gnats and crumbs. And the table was dirty despite the barista sitting in the corner reading.
