No, no, no no no no no. I loved Pita Pit. They were one of my favorite parts of Broadway. Healthy and fast and affordable, with lots of feta cheese. This makes me sad.

Closed down? Ouch! These guys thrive post-club time in downtown Vancouver. Must be a candian thing eh? Or maybe they were too far ahead of the food game at the time? They should consider coming back especially with the flurry of eateries that have opened up in that 3 block radius by Seattle Central in the past year!

I was at this place on 9−10−10 Pita place is a really great place to grub when you need a quick bite to eat. The pita’s are made fresh, & in front of you. First you order what type of pita you would like, & then they begin the process of making your pita. You usually get a choice of white or wheat pita bread, & they will more than likely ask you what sort of things you would like in the pita. This place is pretty quick. The place is pretty clean & friendly. The employees are friendly, & do their job well. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Whenever I’m craving a quick chicken sandwich, my immediate thought is McDonalds, but then I remember that I already had Mickey D’s twice that week, so I go for Pita Pit instead. It’s my way of convincing myself that I’m redeeming my fast food habit with a healthy pita! I typically go here at night(8pm or later) and the girls that work there are friendly without being chatty(I hate that… it slows the making of the food!) and make damn good pitas. I always get mine chockful of buffalo chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, ranch, avocado, and hummus, so I need a well-constructed pita, and I have yet to get a floppy, explosive one from this Pita Pit. ALSO, how awesome is it that they are open until 3am some nights? And they can deliver? McDonalds can’t do that…

I’m a fan for sure!!! I’m not local, but I get the local. Chicken, spinach, cheese, tomato then I get to add all the veggies I want. Also ask for the taziki(sp) sauce… it’s delish and low in fat and it’s phat. The space has limited seating, usually semi clean. the staff is okay too. a good place to get a nice healthy lunch or even better a great place to go when you have a craving for some food after a long night of drinking. gulp gulp, munch munch. hmmm pita

Pita Pit! Pita Pit! Pita Pit! Pita Pit! This is our chant that we do when we crave the Pita Pit. This is because their pitas are heavenly. Granted we(my friend and I) always seem to get the same one each time, but never does it disappoint. The service is always fast and friendly, whether picking up or getting delivery. Not giving 5 stars because of one tiny thing: Can’t order online yet for the Broadway location. It’d be so much easier than having to call and order a million pitas with lots of different ingredients and having to read them over the phone to someone. Other than that, Pita Pit! Pita Pit! Pita Pit! …etc.

Good place to stop by for a quick bite, especially late at night when you want to find something to eat that isn’t infused with grease. Healthier fare at fairly reasonable prices. Flavors are consistent when you go here despite the staff working. Definitely a good place to check out for a quick lunch or late at night!

I’m surprised more people haven’t discovered The Pita Pit. It’s like subway but you have more selection. It’s the best place after a night of drinking, if you are looking for a quick and healthy fare. And it’s damn cheap. Did I mention they deliver?(if you live on Capitol Hill) Oh… and yes, they have whole wheat pitas :)

I’ve taken a liking to Pita Pit. Before yesterday I had always been brought pitas from my boyfriend, friends or delivery. So I was really looking forward to checking out this magical place where pitas were born… and I was slightly disappointed. The employees were friendly and the exchange of money and ordering went just fine. But when I stepped up to the counter to give the pita master my vegetable order she stopped to pick up her cell phone… with her gloves on! Said she couldn’t talk, pressed a couple buttons and went right back to the vegetables. What’s the point of wearing gloves at all? Then I noticed she handled all the different types of meat and then went straight back into the vegetables… contaminating each of the vegetable bins with a smile. While I’m not a vegetarian and didn’t care about this mixing of ingredients I’m sure there are those who would. I still really like the caesar salad and philly cheese steak pitas so you get three stars!

Pretty basic sandwich in a pita, made quickly and reasonably priced. I haven’t had any issues some of the other reviewers evidently had, so I keep going back. I love the summertime people watching out the big window, mowing down on a tasty sandwich. Voila!

Great place when you need something different then your normal burger or take out. Wish I still lived close enough to have it delivered but I am not lucky enough. Thats when you will find this food best. Hungry and do not want to eat pizza and are to drunk to leave the house. My last walk in visit was a bit disturbing. My chicken hit my Pita and then the cook goes«oh man its still cold» and scooped it out. Put it back on the grill for a while and then back in the sandwich. I just let it ride but come on now… REALLY? I am ok and did not get sick but the whole«warm» meat hitting the sandwhich then it sitting and sitting… I’ll be back someday but the last time was a bit strange. GREAT counter person though. Friendly and cheerful.

Open until 3am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. I Liiii-ke. Oh, and no grimey, grubby bathroom keys. Thanks for trusting your customers ‘Pit, no matter how meth’d out some of them may be. Question for you: ‘How in the eff do you shove all that crazy tasty mess of a samach deep betwixt the wheaty loins of a pocket o’ pita without bustin’ the sides out somethin’ messy fierce??!’ HOW?! Must be a gift. That’s all I can come up with. Best cheap late night food in Seattle. Besides, you gotta love the, ‘No gut bomb ‘what in the hell was I thinking last night when I ate that at 2:30am??!’ remorse’ you have after Dante’s or Linda’s the next morning. Go here.

Ok… we had a Pita Pit in Boulder when I was an undergrad and I avoided it like the plague. I am Middle Eastern and I snubbed my nose at anything feigning my people’s food in a white man’s dry pita. Well I am older and much more humble these days and when my friends here in Seattle talked up this PP I decided to give it a go. Pretty darn good for cheap eats on the Hill. I recommend the gyros, chicken caesar, or the philly with grilled mushrooms, onions and peppers, loaded with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, olives, taziki, with feta and their«special» sauce. Make sure its nice and loaded and you might just have two meals in one!

I’ve always stayed away from Pita Pit for a few reasons. The obvious being the standard rule of not eating anywhere with the words«pit, hole, mold and/or angry verbs» in the name, the not so obvious is because I can’t eat garlic. Yes, it’s sad. Mediterranean food is just no good for me so imagine my surprise when I’m told that these are really just pita sandwiches! Sure, you can get garlicky gyro meat and slather on the tzatziki if you would like… ooooor…you can get chicken and spinach and plain old mayo! W00t! At $ 7 for a huge sandwich all wrapped up and ready to go I’m a fan. A word to the wise: If anyone(Charlie!) tells you that it’s a good idea to eat your pita on the jungle gym at Cal Anderson Park *don’t listen to them* and for the love of not barfing on a children’s play area do NOT launch yourself rocket style on the swing set!

Good for a quick bite late at night; it will not leave you feeling weighed down. Really fresh and tasty. Nothing for me to write home about, but fills the whole with delicious pita goodness. Minus one star because the cashier came outside(we were eating outside) and started smoking right next to us. She was within 25 feet of the entrance and it made me want to gag. Perhaps next time I’ll just eat inside to avoid the smoke smell.

I ate Pita Pit all through college in Montréal… it’s a great fast food option where you can feel like you have several healthy choices. I was excited to see it in Seattle in Capitol Hill, so close to us… it’s been a great option for when we need something quick lately. It’s not a place I crave coming back to time after time… but it’s a good option when the situation necessitates it. I love«the Local pita» suggestion on the menu as well as just making my own combinations. What I don’t love is the service at this location… I really haven’t had a friendly server yet. It’s mostly been crabby teenagers /college students who just have that air about them that they go around rolling their eyes at everything. I enjoy the food when I’m in the mood for it but this Pita Pit location gets dinged two stars for service because I just don’t need that moody adolescent attitude when I’m out for a quick bite.

While the quality of the food is much better than many fast food places, The Pita Pit still suffers from«how much lettuce can we shove in here for filler» syndrome. Yet the young staff of slightly bored teenagers is quick to hook you up with a better made sammich if you joke with them a bit and show some empathy. Their gyro is a confusing faux-Greek meal. It is comprised of thin meat, a generous handful of the senseless aforementioned lettuce, and tzatziki slathered on the pita like Crisco from my chubby grandmother’s spatula as she slowly bakes my grandfather into a diabetic coma. To top everything off, the actual pitas at «The PITA pit» are boring and gritty. Fortunately, that tip about the staff paid off the second time as they converted my sandwich into a salad on a bed of spinach. Same price, better food. So why, after such glowing words, a three star review? Here is what each star represents: Star 1 — You have to give at least one star in each review Star 2 — As mentioned earlier, the ingredients are of decent quality. Especially for a fast food franchise. Star 3 — They’re open until 3 am on weekends… a better drunken food option than Jack in the Box to be sure. Really, it’s two stars sober and three stars with your swurve on. Given the circumstance of my visits, I’ll dole out the three.
