Excellent service late night on weekends. Want bean-less chili on your late-night omelette? Get the Cha-Cha sauce! They also offer Lucky Charms as a side as well as several types of toast. This place rocks and why haven’t I known about this place for the two years I’ve been on this side of the continent? A+++ would have breakfast here again.

I hate to be that person, but this place was a letdown. I’ve been in this place twice, and so far, I have not been amused. Both times I’ve been in, I was ignored in what seemed like a slow time in the place. Staff failed to acknowledge not only my existence, but the 7 other people that were waiting in line to get a table! When we finally were seated, our server was no where to be found. After 20 minutes of waiting, our server came by to take our order, and then again, disappeared. After waiting, and waiting, and more waiting, my boyfriend had to ask one of the bussers to get our check, which resulted into more waiting. Not sure if the server was preoccupied or what, but this person put Houdini to shame. The menu advertises fun, interesting and what sounds like delicious meals, and hey, different strokes for different folks, however I wasn’t wowed by any one of the dishes I ordered. I was pretty bummed by the end. I can’t say I’ll be back, but if I do, I’m hoping my third time’s a charm, as rumor has it they have adult milkshakes… to be continued!

Family outing yesterday at dinner, fairly empty restaurant. 20 minutes for children’s plates of fries and scrambled eggs with fruit. 30 minutes for the rest. Bacon underdone. Pancakes were very overdone, classic brown ring around edge with no browning on the center, rubbery texture. Waitress mentioned new cook. Asked the waitress for replacements, pointing out how they were nearly burnt, very overdone. Waitress brought back two newly made, just as burnt pancakes. Friendly staff, inept cook.

I come in here about once a week for a weekday midmorning breakfast. The staff is always friendly and my food always comes out quick. This is one of the very few places in Seattle with Frank’s Red Hot, so that’s worth a star all on its own. The WiFi isn’t fast, but it is reliable, which I need since I’m usually working when I’m at Lucky. The food isn’t going to blow your mind, but it’s good. I’ve had most of the breakfast menu and haven’t found anything to be of poor quality. I stayed away for a long time due to the low-ish rating and the fact that the place is usually empty. It’s worth your time to come in and check it out.

Great service! Great place to have breakfast, it’s just your typical dinner but really good food. It is also open 24⁄7 which is pretty convenient! Surprisingly enough they have a great happy hour.

Amazing coffee and really really good food. The service is hit or miss depending on the time of day. Some times the service is horrendous but damn we love their coffee(and biscuits and gravy!). Other times we get the really cool guy, you’ll know him when you have him as your server because he’s fantastic.

We went to lucky diner hoping to get a milkshake before going home only to be told they were closed. The only lady serving there told us they were already closed at 9:30 pm when the hours of operation on the window by the door said they closed at 10pm. This happened nearly 30 minutes ago when my girlfriend and I were hoping to split a milkshake together before heading home after a wonderful night on the town. We’re visiting Seattle from San Diego and this is the only place in the city that we haven’t felt welcome. We wanted to try this place before landing at sea-tac and beginning our adventure but we will likely never try this place or attempt to again.

I have really enjoyed this place on a number of occasions. Generally for breakfast and later in the evening bites. The menu is a bit eclectic and fun. Where can you go that features«adult milkshakes»? Now that’s cool and I don’t even drink! Yesterday I got into town a bit late and wanted to grab a quick bite before going home. I stopped in five minutes before closing and asked the server if it was ok to order. He didn’t hesitate and said just grab a seat. Now that doesn’t and shouldn’t be a big deal but most places would tell you no it’s too close to closing. So kudos to you for nice customer service! I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, the server said that was a new item and he would like to see it also. It came with strawberry jam and I asked for it on the side. Turned out it wasn’t Jam but rather a yogurt and smoothie mixture? A bit odd for a sandwich. though the server said he’d pass the comment onward. Cool, other than that a great meal. So at the end of the day you guys rock! Keep doing what your doing thanks for the great service and fun food that you make the commitment to source locally.

After reading several reviews about this place, it seems this diner is very hit or miss, lots of people complaining about the bad service when the restaurant is busy, and others praising the great service and food… After reading those reviews, and combining my personal experience, I’ve come to a conclusion… This place is good! Top to bottom… Is has small kinks like any restaurant, however the diner is small, and kitchen even smaller, it only allows for a certain amount of staff and cooks. That may be the reason service is slow sometimes! Today when I ate with my girlfriend, the first thing I noticed is the huge windows, allowing a fond of light into the restaurant, and showing off its modern décor. We sat down expecting a typical western diner menu but we’re surprised to find many modern and fusion style dishes My girlfriend ultimately landed on the country fried pork with scrambled eggs and potatoes, I went with the pork biscuit with fries. We had a similar meal the previous day at a much more expensive restaurant(local360), and weren’t nearly as satisfied as our visit to luckys. My pork was juicy, the bbq sauce was delicious! And the fries were fried soft with a small crunch at the end, the way I love them! My girlfriend claims she loved the fried pork, but I didn’t like it much(to each their own right?) The server attended us immediately and quickly, our meals were served in less than 10 minutes! We sat at the bar, or front, whatever you’d like to call it, and we ate when it was very slow. I suggest new customers to try to avoid busy times at this establishment. Food is great! 4 stars because my biscuit was too soggy to eat with my hands and had to use a knife and fork, but I’m not upset whatsoever

Quite a few vegetarian options on the menu; loved finding a diner that uses Field Roast products! My breakfast consisted of the Veggie D’Lite: Scramble of home fries, Field Roast apple sage sausage, braised greens, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and chèvre. Nice portion and tasty food.

I have a 10 year old family member who has a life threatening food allergy. Lucky Diner and the staff are usually very understanding and accommodating. Unfortunately, after asking that the chef take careful precautions, Shona told us «maybe you should go elsewhere.» I have never had a restaurant say something like this. My 10 year old was embarrassed and humiliated. *** We just received a very nice call from the owner of Lucky Diner. He apologized for the poor customer service experience, and he committed that he would talk to all of his staff so this would never happen again.

Cute diner with a simple atmosphere. I was surprised/happy to find it not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Came here mostly for the gluten free pancakes :) I was not disappointed! Also got an egg scramble and gf toast– which were both good. I’d come back here if in the neighborhood again.

Let’s just say that I’m biased towards a 5 star review by the menu selections. It’s not too common that a diner offers vegetarian meat alternatives like Field Roast so there are lots of options for everyone. For the most part this place was clean, but similar to most places in Seattle the high dusting doesn’t appear to be much of a priority. Once I saw the Field Roast reuben I decided to go for lunch. The wife had the Buddha breakfast and daughter the breakfast from the kids menu. All in all, everyone was satisfied. Dang I miss having good veggie reubens. Friendly service, above average diner food, not as filthy as most Seattle restaraunts earn this place an easy 4 stars. Will visit again for breakfast or lunch.

I wish I could say this place is still as awesome as the first time I was here… The last few times I’ve come in, I couldn’t get service to save my life. My boyfriend and I sat at the table for a good 15 – 20 minutes before we gave up and left. The sign said seat yourself so we did. We never got any water or menus. We waited and waited and then another couple came in from outside and promptly got water and menus. Super sadface… The cook in the back saw us though. He kept looking at us like even HE was wondering when we’d get served… The time before that, the server NOT serving our section had to come bring me a coffee refill because the one serving us was chatting with another customer for a good 30 minutes and then walked by our table without even an acknowledgement. Their coffee is delicious. Must have coffee. I guess I’ll settle for the not so amazing coffee across the street at CJ’s. At least they’ve got good service there…

Weekend Breakfast in Belltown? Look no further than here! Lucky’s has all the best drinks, breakfast items, and favorites — whether you’re wide awake or suffering massive dehydration from late night recreation. First stop: the adult drinks section on the inside flap. Several slushies, milkshakes, and standard breakfast beverages that will either perk you up, take an edge off, or both. Second stop: the weekend specials. Lucky’s does a fantastic home-made hollandaise sauce for their eggs benedicts BUT they only make it on the weekends. The big benny with pulled pork is really good, but my friend often likes to do the regular benny with added avocados(which are always very very fresh). Another great item: the homemade biscuits and gravy. The gravy itself is pretty good, but the biscuits are divine. If you really want to try something cool: get one of the eggs benedict plates served on biscuits instead of english muffins. Really maximizes the homemade feel. Third stop: the extras. Lucky’s has great sides like bacon, extra potatoes, steel cut oatmeal and even bowls of(wait for it) Lucky Charms. They also have great coffee, teas, hot chocolate, etc. Or if you’re needing the hair of the dog and don’t want to go as nice as the drinks noted before, a simple can of Rainier or PBR served in its own brown paper bag will do just fine. Last tip to add: Open 24 hours on the weekends. So if you want breakfast at 9 am or 10pm– you’re set.

Adult milkshakes!!! Lucky Charms! Their rachel is worth it. Service can be hit or miss though… Of all the times I’ve gone, they seemed to be understaffed… so BEPATIENT! ;-p

On vacation in Seattle, we were looking for local restaurants in the downtown area that offered a good sit-down breakfast. Unfortunately, it was harder than we thought. We stumbled upon the Lucky Diner and decided to give it a try. It had a nice, clean, modern interior with stainless steel accents. There were a lot of options for breakfast on the menu, too, although the prices seemed a bit high for egg dishes at a «diner.» Breakfast was good, but the service was pretty awful. We only saw our server(1) when he took our orders,(2) when we brought our coffee, and(3) when he delivered our meals. My tiny cup of coffee never got a refill(even when I asked him when he brought the meals. After we finished eating, we waited a long time before finally getting up to get our check ourselves. The place didn’t seem *that* busy, but you never know what’s going on internally. Maybe they need to consider hiring some additional breakfast crew. At any rate, I can’t truly recommend it, because I certainly wouldn’t go back on a future visit to Seattle. We certainly didn’t feel«lucky» having gone there.

This is a review of lunch with my brother at The Lucky Diner. As the name denotes, this is a diner. The menu features a combination of comfort food favourites and other dishes that you might not necessarily think of when diner fod pops into your head. We had the burgers though. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The place feels like a diner. But instead of a 50’s feel, it has a more sleek and modern ambiance. It come off a tad cold and actually looks like it just opened. Their burgers were quite good. They were very juicy. They were large. They came on really nice buns. A Lucky Burger + Bacon + Caramelized Onions was my burger of choice. In addition to the above comments, the bacon was nice and thick and perfectly cooked. The only real negative is that the caramelized onions weren’t really caramelized. They would have been even better if they had stayed on the grill a little longer and developed some additional flavours. The fries were decent but just basic fries. My brother had the Bueno Burger(Don and Joe’s ground beef and Chorizo sausage blended together, black beans, pepper jack cheese, fried jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, chili-lime aioli) Receipt(Lunch for 2): $ 39.53 Overall — The space is clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and on-point. The burgers were great and filling. Lucky Diner was pretty much a win-win-win.
