These guys are the best. Geoduck sashimi – so good; just a bright whiff of puget sound and super fresh clam. Comes with just the right amount of wasabi and soy, and also, chopsticks! the only TS location that has them, to my knowledge. The new seafood stew is awesome – spicy and full of shellfish. Their Caesar salad is my favorite in seattle; toasted, crumbled croutons, perfectly cut lettuce, and a sprinkle of cheese on top. Dressing just zingy enough, but doesn’t come heaped on like most places. The bartenders know what they are doing and are super friendly. Great secret place to watch a game too; they have a couple of flat screens mounted so you can watch in the bar or at a table, while pounding a dozen oysters. On that note – their shucker’s dozen is a perfect way to try 4 – 5 different types of oysters. My husband LOVES virginica oysters from that exact order, which sizewise are a little daunting but the taste is awesome. Can’t recommend this place enough, cool interior too and nice people overall.

Took my girlfriend to try oysters for the first time and to my surprise she loved it. We tried the smapler which had all of the oysters they had and she liked them all.(Try the shooters). Service is amazing, food is great. Next time I’m in seattle I will definitely stop by, no matter how long or short of a visit. Thanks guys!

I came here for a birthday dinner with my boyfriend and parents. I was the only oyster fan out of my group(i loved the shigoku!) but there were many other options for my guests including the shrimp po boy which my dad and boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed — served with well seasoned fries and a spicy slaw. The dining space is intimate but due to the type of flooring and lack of textiles can get quite cacophonous. Finished with a flavorful pear and champagne sorbet! Glad we made the effort to check it out and enjoyed a stroll around the festively lit pioneer square after our meal.

Ok. It was late, and I wasn’t feeling like going out because it was a long day. BUT… We were dying for some more oysters before we left town for SF in the early a.m. We are so glad we did. We ended up spending a lot of time here. Eating a dozen oysters and half a crab. Then 4 more oysters. Then 2 of the Virginican oysters, recommended by Dan. We had 4 more of those after that. Dan is full of knowledge and was happy to share. We were happy to listen. No one knows more about oysters than this guy. I wish we had more time to spend in Seattle. We will definitely come back, just to sit and talk to Dan and have more oysters. Mike was amazing as well. Thanks! See you soon. (Oh, and did I mention the Cava? Always have some sparkling with your oysters!)

Downtown Pioneer Square. Stopped in for ½ dozen oysters w/fries before attending the Art Walk. Fresh & wonderful seafood with great window seating.

I couldn’t leave Seattle without having some oysters! Sadly, I couldn’t come here during happy hours to save some $$. A dozen of their oysters is $ 32(two of each oysters that they had available). They all range in size and taste. Definitely some of the freshest oysters I’ve ever had! We also had their Fried Oyster Po Boy, which was decent — just add some hot sauce for more flavors! If you like beer, try their Pike Naughty Nellie Blonde. They have a few TV for those who want to watch sports.

I had never eaten raw oysters before coming here, and I’m glad I tried them. I’m now a huge fan. It was my birthday so we may have gone a little overboard, but between the three of us we ordered: the shucker’s dozen, a Caesar salad, seafood soup, oysters marco & a half-crab. Everything was delicious. I’ve been dreaming about the seafood soup and the oysters marco and I can not wait to have raw oysters again. I wish I had listened a little better when the waiter was telling us what was what; there was one oyster that I particularly liked but I can’t for the life of me remember which it was. It reminded me a lot of good raw tuna, though. I also ordered a Dark & Stormy — I am typically a fruity drink kind of girl but this place is not into sweet n fruity so I tried something different and I’m really happy I did! This may be my new go-to signature cocktail. The service & atmosphere in the restaurant were great as well. I really, really can’t wait for the next special occasion so we can go back.

The food is really good. I would have given them a four-star rating if it wasn’t for their jerky manager. I’m still kind of upset thinking about it. I am TOTALLY a fan of their seafood. The manager is ugh. I liked that this location is tucked away in Pioneer Square, away from the touristy craziness by Pike Market(I’m looking at you, Elliott Oyster House). We ordered 14 oysters(it was a dozen plus another kind that we want to try, so a total of 14 oysters) and a glass of wine on a Sunday afternoon. It was quite empty, probably five parties in there with four TVs playing various football games. We got lucky because Seattle Seahawks weren’t playing — I Imagine it would otherwise be packed. They messed up the order by accidentally giving us an oyster shooter that we didn’t order… so I guess this is a good kind of messing up? As our waitress promised, our 14 oysters were quickly served after the initial confusion in ordering. They were so delicious and so fresh! I loved the distinct flavors each type of oyster had! You can see them shucking and cooking seafood if you sit at the bar. The chef was very friendly and so was our waitress. Since the afternoon football game was just about to start, we asked our waitress if we could change one TV to 49ers v. Falcons since it didn’t seem like that many people were following the games(they have four big TVs hanging overhead). Our waitress checked with her manager, and repeatedly told us he’s going to look into it, and it’ll take some time, so we patiently waited while browsing the menu for other food to get(their hot seafood dishes also look really good… we were eyeing the geoducks and steamed clams). Finally after about 15 – 20 minutes, we saw the manager walking out towards us, and he asked the chef if he wants to see soccer and the chef agreed, so one TV was changed to soccer(I think Sounders were playing that afternoon, which is cool). We then asked nicely if he could change one of the channels to 49ers and Falcons and he just coldly said«no, it is what it is.» I’m fine with them not caving to our request, because in the end this isn’t a «sports bar», but could you at least be nice about it? Yeah, Seahawks fans probably hate the 49ers, but really? 49ers are not doing their best this year(2015 – 2016) so why do you still see us as a threat? Shouldn’t sports be fun and games, why are you, as the manager of a restaurant, being vindictive towards a patron that’s just enjoying your food and wants some football action to flush down the oyster shooter? AND! Seahawks weren’t even playing that day! At least explain to us «sorry this is a Seahawks bar» or whatever, instead of just coldly brushing us off? After that, I had no desire to spend any more money on trying their seemingly super delicious food. I was fed up(with annoyance) so we went down the street to watch the game instead, at a real sports bar. But come for their seafood. It’s delicious!

We stuck mostly to shrimp items, the Shrimp app and Shrimp Po Boys. The Shrimp was good and firm, the PoBoys were not bad, not the best, but not bad. The worst part of this place was the service, it was slow, and we really didn’t feel«welcome». Heres your food, heres your check, thanks. Probably will not return.

If you love raw oysters and seafood so to speak with beer and/or wine, this is the place to be! Clean seafood spot and their leek, smoked bacon flavored creamy broth with mussels and clams, is to leisurely delve into overtime! It was so delicious and heavenly that I can’t quite put into words on how beautifully blended those ingredients made the dish to be! Raw oysters were refreshing here and you can’t go wrong with that! It’s a haven for the seafood lovers and chillers over drinks!

Seattle has tons of oyster bar. But if you want the Best of the Best, look no further than Taylor Shellfish Oyster bar. Happy Hour $ 9 for 6 of the freshest oyster of the day?! Trust me, just order those by dozens and dozens as they tastes just like directly from the ocean. We ordered the more expensive varieties and those were not even half as good! Geoduck Sashimi($ 12), a delicacy. Give it a try as I love it so much. The different in texture and flavour, heavenly! Happy Hour’s cocktail, wine and beer. Highly recommend the Taylor Shellfish Farms Oyster Stout to complete your seafood adventure. 7.7% ABV with just a hint of oyster flavour, so smooth and easy drinking. After one or 2 of those, I guarantee you would be having a good time. I also tried the Bloody Mary, love the spicy house pickled garnishes! I could have sit there and eat that the whole day! Bartender/Oyster Shucker is exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere here is chill. If you are an oyster/seafood lover, Taylor Shellfish might be the best place for HH in town.

Is Pioneer Square’s culinary scene getting better? Yes! I was craving for a Po Boy and decided to make my way towards the stadium. I knew I had to place an order to go since I was running short on time. After I had made my payment I saw«The Where to Eat Guide.» I grabbed a booklet and perused through the pages while I waited for my Shrimp Po Boy plus fries minus the slaw. The music playlist was 70s R&B which was really pleasing. My food arrived in good time. I brought my food back to work. It was one of the best Po Boys I have ever tasted! The fries were really good too. I shared the other half of my sandwich with my coworker and there were no complaints! I am definitely coming back. The Po Boy they make here is definitely my favorite in the city.

Yes! We came here for my birthday and proceeded to order everything on the menu. I discovered that I love oysters and gin martinis. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful with what we ordered. French fries are a must, I also loved the beet salad. I would skip the prawn cocktail next time. I don’t want to have to fuss with taking the shell and legs off my prawns, but that’s just me. It was pricey but totally worth every penny.

The beau and I stopped here one afternoon for some oysters. We got the Shucker’s Dozen and they were a great variety of local oysters. They were fresh and very good. The cocktails were decent but not amazing. The place wasn’t busy for the middle of the afternoon and it appeared several people were there to watch some sports ball game. If you’re in the Pioneer Square area, this is good place for some fresh oysters.

The tables are a bit close to one another. Makes it nice to talk with your neighboring table if you’re into that. We had some good random company as we were eyeing people’s food and vice versa. I ordered a prawn po boy with a caesar salad and 4 oysters. Don’t ask me what the names are cause I already forgot. All I know is that it was delicious and each oyster had their personalities! If you’re wondering, no I didn’t talk to them and get to know them before I squeezed a lemon over them and ate them! :) The experience was awesome and ambiance is equally energizing. Good for date night or with a group. This place is just plain great!

I. LOVE. OYSTERS. Totten inlets are by far, my favorite now that I’ve eaten them at Taylor’s, twice. I tried to find some at markets nearby, but to no avail :(. Couldn’t bring any back to the Bay Area with me T___T. Very fresh seafood here, their oysters are delicious but pricey. I’m not sure if they have a Happy Hour menu, but if they do, try and come during then. That way, you can enjoy more for the same price. Oysters range between $ 2.50-$ 3 each. Shigoku’s and Kumamoto’s are your signature smaller oysters and are very sweet. The waiter described them as a cucumber-ish refreshing taste, which they were. Totten inlets are the larger ones and are worth the $ 2 or so you pay for it. They’re definitely sweet and super buttery, so give these a try as well. I would say the only thing worth ordering here is their clam steamers. The Homestead Steam comes with a hefty amount of clams, bacon and leeks. The soup was perfect to soak bread in and the clams were quite large. It wasn’t salty but I feel like since the seafood is so fresh, it sort of salts itself. The geoduck sashimi was soft and fresh and didn’t have a very strong fishy taste. However, at $ 12, you don’t get a lot. But, it’s worth a try if you’ve never had it before! I feel like Taylor’s will always be a place I would drop by for oysters. It just doesn’t get any better than this :).

Perfect place for dinner when you’re near Pioneer Square! We stopped by and started off with oysters, they had Washington and New Zealand oysters on hand and they were absolute perfection. My fiancé and I each got the Prawn and Oyster Po Boy with a side salad and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The bread was perfectly baked and grilled with just the right amount of oysters, sauce and filings. I love the side salad as a side instead of fries for a lighter alternative. Four oysters, two sandwiches and salads ran about $ 40. Happy Hour ends at 6pm and we just missed it so if you’re looking to save money that may be an option. Staff was great and worked as a team with food running, refills, etc. This place has me longing to live near the water…

I’ve been here twice on separate occasions for their happy hour and it does not disappoint! Great, fresh, juicy oysters and their house rosé is not bad at all! Other items tried included their steamed clams — very buttery and fragrant — a must try! The prawn cocktail — very succulent and meaty, and also their Dungeness crab which was cracked perfectly. There’s nothing worse than fighting against the shell when you’re trying to enjoy a meal. Note: I’ve tried this location as well as another and the service is consistent and great!

Awesome oysters!!! Personal fave is Virginica but all of em are so tasty. Kumamotos are great too. Their geoduck quality is super fresh I literally died eating it. Preparation of crab is fab. Cool Fact: Taylor Shellfish has been farming and growing their own oysters for over 100 years. They have three locations in WA. Best place to go for oysters !

Oysters! Oysters! Oysters! We were on a mission to find freshly shucked oysters for lunch. Parking could be a little challenging but we found a spot a couple blocks around the corner from the restaurant. It was kind of an off time to have lunch so there was no wait and we had our picks of seating. Since everyone was at the bar, we decided to join. I would have to say, service is a little slow and it took a bit for the one server to come around with menus, waters, and to refill water. It wasn’t hectic but it more of a relaxed pace. We split the raw oyster tasting – $ 28 for 6 varieties of oysters(2 each). I can’t name off the top of my head the types we had but they were all fresh and tasty. Surprisingly, we were at a consensus of which were our favourites. There was one that had a shockingly strong oyster flavor for two second and dissipated, that was a nice. I also ordered the fried oyster po’boy and it was fresh out of the fryer crispy and hot. The combination of the hot oysters, soft roll, crispy iceberg lettuce, and spicy tartar sauce was delectable. Fries were standard and I didn’t care for the pickled ginger slaw. Food was excellent and service could have been more efficient. When we came, it wasn’t quite happy hour so all the food was at regular menu pricing. Oysters came out to be $ 2.33/each which is a high. Worth it? For the quality, yes.
