They didn’t know what they were doing and took forever to buy a phone. They said I could get three accessories for free. Apparently they cost $ 120!!! What a scam!

I was excited when I saw T-​mobile was opening up down below in my apartment. It took them about a week or two for the construction and man, did they do a good job. I felt like it was destiny for me to switch carriers since my contract with sprint was almost over in couple days. Mind you, I’ve been with them for 6 – 7 years and there was no loyalty program for a single line. Being recently committed to a special someone, I wanted a cheap plan for the two of us and upon doing research it seems like T-​mobile was the way to go.
Couple days after they opened and my contract has been over, I decided to stop by and see what they got to offer. I was sold by their jump lease program where I had to pay about $ 24 – 26 dollars for the new iPhone 6s plus the plan. They ran a credit check with me and I passed with flying colors in order to get the cheapest lease plan yay. Then the sales associate, MaKai told me since I had good credit I can get 2 – 3 accessories for free! All I had to do was to pay for their sales tax. I told her what’s the catch and she said it was a special promo for people with good credit, so I believed her and grabbed two accessories. One for my new phone screen, which she puts it on perfectly and I grabbed a charger on the whim because hey, I thought it was going to be a free special promo. I felt rushed signing the papers so I didn’t have the time to read it all the way through and my partner was being impatient with the whole process, so I signed everything and left home happily.
The next day, I checked on the plan details and I was wondering why it was so expensive. First off she lied to me about the cool special promo where I get free accessories. It was some leasing program for accessories, where I had to pay a monthly fees on my cell phone bills for 16 months. She then added phone insurance onto my plan without telling me about it. I was unhappy and I went back downstairs to get my refund and to get rid of the insurance. When I arrived and talked about the issue, they tried to refund my accessories, but apparently their system was down and they wasted 20 minutes of my time so I had to come back on my next day off. In the end I got my refund on the accessories before their 14 days return policy, but I felt cheated by their dishonest employees who doesn’t explain or understand how their «promos» works so they can get more commission from their sales. Their manager was supervising her, so I’m assuming what they’re doing is common there especially since this location there’s a lot of immigrants there who doesn’t understand or speak English much, but there are employees who do speak their native tongue so who knows what kind of lies and deceit they may be telling them.
