Waffles for $ 6? You can’t beat that! You’ll never find that in SF, that’s for sure. Try it out yourself and enjoy some waffles!

My experience with Sweet Iron was A-Ok. It didn’t blow me away but it wasn’t offensive. It just sort of was. My main complaint is that my waffle looked a lot prettier than it tasted. It’s not that the flavor was bad, exactly. Just that it wasn’t much of anything. I ordered the Banana Brulee and really appreciated the thoughtful craftsmanship that went into the bananas as they were charred right in front of me, but they fell flat against a very heavy waffle. The waffle was just too thick and lacked that essential fluff that makes a waffle a waffle. The whole thing was also oddly dry. My friend ordered a waffle with strawberries and nutella, and his was enviably better than mine, which was especially odd given I’m not much for strawberries and nutella together. I think it was that the two ingredients were just so much less dry than my own that they offset the heaviness of the waffle. I also found their setup a little bit irritating in that it’s just plain tiny and when we walked in every one of the 5 or 6 tiny tables was taken. It felt cramped even after half the people left and there was nothing charming about the décor to make me feel less like I was sitting in a waffly shoe-box. My friend was less off put given that his waffle was considerably better. He left feeling like he’d had a 4 star experience, but I left with a solid shrug of the shoulders and an adamant«Meh.»

Price of Waffles range from $ 5 – 7. A single waffle will not fill you up; This is a good snack or perfect to finish off after a medium sized meal. I had the nutella($ 5) and enjoyed it for the most part. I would recommend getting something to help wash down the nutella. They give an abundance of nutella so be prepared for something heavily sweet. The waffle had a nice crisp and crunch as you cut through it. It’ll start to sog up a bit based on what is on it(as anything would). I’d recommend sharing 1 waffle with someone else then grabbing lunch right after. I was able to finish a single waffle myself and then have lunch, but a few friends were unable to do that.

We had four different types of waffles and each one was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the brie waffle. The servers were friendly and the place was clean and well decorated. Would definitely recommend!

Now that I’ve been twice, I feel like I can write a review for this place. I went for lunch yesterday, then I had to go back this morning for a breakfast waffle! I have tried: — herb goat cheese waffle under savory either $ 6 or $ 7 — Nutella waffle $ 5 The waffle with herb goat cheese was good, but I like enjoying just the waffle itself, and I just thought there was too much going on with it. So I went back this morning to try one with just Nutella on it. I love the waffle itself! I have always loved belgian waffles growing up. This place reminded me what I have been missing these years! Haven’t had a good belgian waffle in so long! This place is a block and a half away from my work. I always walk pass it, but never went in until yesterday! I wish I had known! So if you are coming to this place specifically to try this place, parking might suck cuz it is downtown. Friendly service!

An Easy Breezy breakfast in downtown Seattle. My friends and I were desperate for food, but not wanting to commit to the whole brunch experience. Thankfully, Sweet Iron was right around the corner and we were able to bop in, get some delicious food in a hurry, and then be on our way! This place is all about liege waffles, Belgian waffles with bruleed pearled sugar coating the top. They have a handful of both sweet and savory options, with the latter category generally being my jam. This time, I mean that literally, as I opted for roasted turkey with cranberry jam and havarti cheese. Throw in my racist uncle, and it was basically Thanksgiving in waffle form. Thankfully, there was no bigotry, only a delicious breakfast that was sweet and savory and altogether delicious. This is a very small, very casual place. You order and the counter, and they give you your food in a paper container. There are only a few tables, and I wouldn’t recommend coming with a group. We were 4 people and we were lucky to be able to pull two outdoor tables together for us to all sit in one place. Nothing wrong with any of this, it was an incredibly pleasant experience, just wanting to manage expectations. I don’t really know that I’d call Sweet Iron a destination, but if you’re in the hood and want an above-average breakfast in a quick and easy setting, you’ll be happy with your visit!

We tried the turkey with rasperry and havarti as well as the bacon and maple syrup waffles and were supremely delighted! So delicious and hit the spot as we were just looking for a quick bite to eat — a second breakfast /pre-lunch meal. First time trying get Stumptown cold brew also and it was very nice. I make cold brew at home and love the fact that it’s smoother and less acidic than conventional hot coffee. The crew at Sweet Iron was very friendly and chipper. :)

Came in for a quick small breakfast as we had plans for a big lunch. Was craving savory, so I got the brie basil with added bacon waffle. Husband got the prosciutto and something waffle. Both were delicious and just big enough to curb our hunger until lunch. Since I wanted to try a sweet waffle, I got a small quarter of a chocolate covered waffle. Delicious! Also got their coffee which were freshly made on site. The latte had foam art. The seating area is small, but the vibe is friendly and the portions are great. Takes card, not sure about parking since we walked, but keep in mind, its downtown area.

So the waffles are a little expensive… but I’m willing to spend $ 5 – 7 on a good waffle. They have REALLY good waffles. Not like frozen Eggo waffles or the pre-packaged Belgian waffles from Costco — these things are the real deal. I’ve been here a few times, but this time I got to try multiple things at once. The sweet and savory waffles are on point. They waffles themselves are warm, crisp, buttery, and sweet. They really are perfect. My family had the following: — Goat cheese and hazelnut waffle: Amazing! I love goat cheese but never thought about putting it on a waffle. Worked really well with the hazelnuts which gave it texture, and the goat cheese was creamy. — Brulee banana: This was neat with the bananas that had a layer of crispy melted brown sugar, like in crème brûlée. It was fantastic with the whip cream and maple syrup. — Crème fraîche and prosciutto: Not familiar with crème frache, but this waffle was great! The saltiness of the prosciutto worked with the sweetness of the waffle. The crème frache have it a refreshing taste. They’re also pretty generous with the prosciutto, 2 piles on one waffle. — Strawbery rhubarb compote: This was their special for the day. Pretty tart but just the right amount of sweet from the strawberries and waffle. Came with a generous amount of whip cream, which on the brulee banana and this waffle, was really good. The space is really small with like 10 two-person tables. My family of four was lucky to get tables here. You also bus yourself, so the turn around for table availability happens pretty quick. Just be patient, people are just eating waffles after all. Coffee is good, Stumptown Roasters. They even have an Ovaltine latte, which made my Filipino family laugh. Will have to try some other time!

Quick and friendly service. The sweet waffles were amazing, I mean it’s hard to dislike anything with Nutella on top. The savory ones looked equally as mouth watering. Will be back to try those asap. Solid coffee and drink section. Small place with minimal seating but they opened up pretty quickly.

These are seriously some of the best waffles that I have ever had!!! And don’t be fooled — they may not look large, but they are VERY filling! My favorite was the dulche de leche!

I can’t say enough good things about Sweet Iron. If I could I would give it even more than 5 stars. It was that good. To start, I went on a Sunday during what is usually a big brunch time. I picked this spot since it was order at the counter instead of sit down, so I hoped it would be less crowded — and I was right. This place has limited seating(literally twelve seats) and half were open on a Sunday morning! It was great for me, but man people are missing out. I have a bit of a thing for waffles, so I’ve tried quite a few of these Belgian waffle places and THISONEISSOTHEBEST. The sugar in the batter caramelizes perfectly as it cooks, leaving nice crispy, sweet edges. They’re dense like Belgian waffles, but not so dense that it’s almost hard to eat. It’s dense, but crisp and perfect. I got it topped with strawberries, nutella, and whipped cream. It went together so perfectly on the waffle. The strawberries were soooo fresh, the nutella was melting into the waffle, and the whipped cream was real whipped cream and tasted like they made it themselves. I literally don’t think I’ve ever loved a waffle as much as this — and I really love waffles. It’s a small, but cute little shop. The staff were so nice and the waffles came out really quickly. It was the perfect amount of food to feel full without wanting to explode. I’ll definitely be coming back here, and I recommend that you do too.

Location is great. That’s probably what warrants the prices. Each waffle savory waffle is $ 6-$ 7 bucks. It’s a single waffle, not huge and definitely not to be shared. Sweet ones run upto $ 8. Tiny place so don’t bring a crowd. Felt lucky to have found a table at 10 am on a Tuesday. I had the Brie basil waffle. Kinda wish I had gone for the turkey one. I always get bummed when I get something that I could’ve made at home.(Debatable if I’d have bought Brie and a bunch of basil leaves to just build this waffle at home) Service is sweet and you can’t help but tip them even though they don’t move a muscle to bring the food to your table or clear your plates. I pretty much tipped because the sweet person taking my order smiled and didn’t roll her eyes when I ordered my no-foam extra hot latte.

It’s more like a 4.7 due to the seating. Service is fast and accurate. The line was short. The sitting area seats 12 inside and four outside. Inside you’d be rubbing elbows. It seems to be the thing here in Seattle where the tables are so close together in crowded spots. We got the bacon and real maple syrup. It costs $ 7 and is worth every penny. The texture is between a waffle, pancake and a doughnut. So moist inside and chewy and a little crisp on the edges. The bacon wasn’t crispy like I usually order but I went with it. The syrup was just enough. I also ordered a 16 oz. caramel latè that costs $ 4.10. It wasn’t sweet, the latè that is. So it was a perfect balance. I’m used to the sweetness of Starbucks white mocha but this was nice to try and only in this combination with something sweet to balance the latè. The prices are actually extremely cheap for the quality the deliver. It was a great pick. If your visiting I recommend grabbing the first seat you see, even the outside ones. It’s nice and warm so people sit for a while after eating. We got here just after 9am so maybe that’s why the lines weren’t long. For a perfect serving of a delicious meal, I recommend stopping here at least once. It’s a must try.

Get them all! My group ordered the pancetta/Brie, turkey/Swiss, bacon/maple, basil/something, strawberry/whipped cream and the ice cream one.(Sorry, can’t remember all the options), but my favorites were all the savory waffles. The waffle itself is slightly sweet so there’s a great contrast in every bite. I wish their space had more seating for weekend brunchers, but if you work right DT this place is definitely a go-to if you’re craving tasty waffles.

Came for a quick lunch this past Monday with bro-in-law(who works within a few blocks and met us there) and the little one, who accompanied me on a doctors visit to Pill Hill during her school-day off. I got the Prosciutto, Crème Fraiche & Green Onions, BIL the Nutella. BIL loved his. I thought the toppings on mine were good, but the actual Belgian Liege Waffle was chewy/tough. I’ve eaten actual Belgian waffles out of streetfronts in major Belgian cities, and they are always crunchy/crispy and fresh, fresh, fresh! This was anything but. I ordered the Chocolate Dipped for my l’il, who refused to even touch one bite and it was taken to-go and eaten by hubs for bfast the next morning! I would never go out of my way to return.

This place was good but I was slightly disappointed. I LOVE liege waffles. LOVETHEM. But most places don’t make them caramelized enough. In Belgium, they are so caramelized in hot sugar that they are almost crunchy. Those are hard to find in the U.S. Anyway, this place was still good but not as good as I had hoped. Service was quick and friendly and that is always a plus. **note: «caramelized» might be the wrong word for what I am trying to describe. But, the outsides should be hot, extremely sugary, and almost crunchy

Cute little waffle shop in downtown Seattle. The place is really small, so expect to eat standing up or wait for an open table. I tried the Banana Brulee Waffle. My goodness. The caramelization on the bananas were pretty much perfect. Crispy outer with soft melt in your mouth bananas. The cream on the waffle was the star. Creamy and not overly sweet. There was definitely something organic about it. The waffle was cooked nice with a nice airy finish with each bite.

I’ve walked by this place a bunch of times and have been curious to try it for a while. I finally dragged myself out of bed early(ish) on a cold and windy weekend and made my way over around 10am. The place is small with only a few tables. Most of the tables were full when we got there; we were lucky to grab the last one. By the time we left, the line was out the door and it was crowded! I ordered one savory(prosciutto) and one sweet waffle(brûléed bananas) to share. Wow! They were both so delicious! The prosciutto was a great balance of salty(prosciutto) and sweet(waffle). The waffles were also made really well: nicely crisp crust with a soft interior. The brûléed banana waffle was also really good, especially if you have a sweet tooth. It’s not too sweet, which is usually what I’m afraid of when ordering a sweet waffle for breakfast. Plus, it has bananas so it’s healthy for you, right? I definitely recommend this place and will be back soon!

Ooooohhhhh, this was a tough review to write! I love my waffles but when I compare my taste bud experience with other waffle food adventures this ranks good but not great! However, customer service was fantastic! Friendly, helpful and smiles is what I like and will bring me back through the doors! I found the chocolate dipped waffle, just as described. Plain, a little crunch and overpriced. Savory waffle with bacon was also plain and overpriced. For the price and taste bud experience, I want pizzazz! Give me quality cut meat, herbs, spices, perhaps a fun maple specialty syrup, rotating menu…

Cute little place and pretty darn delicious. Hawaii doesn’t really have a place that makes Liege style waffles(I think) so I really wanted to hit this place up for bfast one day. These things are definitely tasty and have a denser texture than a normal waffle. They’re made from a sweet dough instead of batter. One thing I really like is that there were little nuggets of rock-sugar sprinkled on them, maybe about the size of a small pea. Those nuggets gave a nice sweet crunch with every bite. I ordered one of their seasonal waffles which had a pumpkin cream over it, I also asked for some whipped cream over that. Mark H got the one with Nutella on it which also had whipped cream over the top. Both were very good. I’m hoping the next time I’m in Seattle, I can try one of the savory waffles, those look really good. The place is small with seating for around a dozen people.

Maybe I’m just easily pleased, but damn that bacon, basil, and brie waffle looked exactly as pictured and tasted just as amazing as I thought it would. My god, where have you been all my life?! I could eat this allllllll day… Real talk, you’re basically paying $ 6 for a small square-shaped Belgian waffle with a thick slab of brie, strips of basil, and an additional $ 1 for bacon on top. I guarantee you that after you order this, you’ll be searching for this as much as I am now in San Diego. I’m crying every time I look at my photo of it. *_* Their cappuccino was OFFTHEHOOK! So delicious and I’m so glad my friend ordered the larger size so that I could steal sips while he’s busy on his phone, no shame. My god, coffee in San Diego pales in comparison!

Cute little place that makes their Belgian waffles per order in front of you. Ideal(early) breakfast spot — I say early because seating is quite limited and it gets packed on the weekends if you come around 9ish. Ordered a strawberry and banana brûlée waffle. All sweet waffles come with whipped cream unless requested otherwise. The waffle itself has a crispy exterior but a nice fluffy interior. It is also light which I appreciate. I mean who wants a sense waffle unless you’re looking for food coma. Those who aren’t fans of sweets, there are savory waffles as well(will need to try next time). Water is self serve and you clear your table and put it in the tray around the corner. Occasionally a bum will come in to get water which is a turn off when you’re trying to have a nice early breakfast in such a clean establishment but they don’t loiter or ask for money.
