I was tired and sad and Adrian made my day immediately better. He was kind and friendly and funny. I don’t normally go to Starbucks, but when I do, I want to see an Adrian. Top notch!

Worst service ever! Made my drink wrong twice. So rude about the first drink when I told them it was not the correct drink that I simply tossed the remade drink in the garbage when I tasted it, the guy must have put a can of chocolate syrup in my drink. It was truely undrinkable unless you like chocolate syrup straight from the can. And the rudeness from the clerk when I asked that it be remade was so uncalled for. Won’t be back.

I’ve had bad experiences recently with Starbucks on two separate occasions/locations, so I’ve kind of lost my love for Starbucks. However, I’ve started going to this location that is semi-hidden away in a big Fred Meyer parking lot because it is a nice place to study– there are ample parking spaces, close to home, and usually not too crowded. Then I got to know the baristas who work there, who are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They also make killer lattes! :) What blew me away is the manager’s genuine caring reaction when I was leaving earlier than normal due to feeling sick suddenly. Even though I was feeling sick, I felt immensely better when she offered me some hot tea to go with caring concern. It was such a kind gesture that will stick with me and Starbucks is lucky to have her! :)

I go to this Starbucks all the time, at least 4 times a week, and the service is always outstanding! I have never had a bad experience and all of the employees are so welcoming and nice. The new manager, I don’t remember her name, but she is amazing. She’s very personable, outgoing and friendly! She makes my day every time I go in there! This Starbucks has a great crew and they should be proud!

I enjoy my daily visits each morning. I have some trade friends that have been meeting together in this location for almost eight years straight. The customer service is always great and the Batista’s are very friendly and personable. At times it just feels like coming home, the staff all get to know and remember their customers. I change my order daily as I’m working my way through the menu, but other customers hardly have to say a word before they have their coffee in hand heading out the door. The place can get busy, but the line moves along pretty fast. Sure there are times when things slow down, but every customer deserves their own coffee experience, sometimes that experience or expectation takes a bit of time. Hey, chillax — it’s your turn, order up your 30 plus additives, subtractions, coffee for everyone in your office who like their coffee all different, don’t forget the baked goods, you should get them warmed up, they’re way better that way — have a nice day! Hmmmm, what should I have next, no worries they’ll help me figure it out…

I go to a lot of Starbucks stores both in Seattle and around the country. I’ve come to expect a certain amount of consistency as well as a deep respect for community connections in each. Honestly, I’ve never been that impressed with this store. If the product was not consistent, I would have given it lower marks. Today, I went in and ordered a drink. There was only one woman before me and she was ordering two drinks. Apparently, when she got her drink, it was incorrect. If you have one person cashiering and one person making drinks, I would actually expect that each can do their tasks correctly with only two ordering customers. Sadly, that appeared to be too much to ask. I actually think there was a third staff member back there, which would appear to be overkill from my perspective.

My husband and I stop in here before we head into Fred Meyer’s for a big shopping trip for that little extra kick of energy. Staff is friendly & our coffee’s taste great! Thanks Starbucks for getting us through our shopping trip!

The best thing about this Starbucks is its cozy location, nestled in the back of the gigantic Fred Meyer retail store. The location feels out of the way and safe. On the few occasions I’ve had to venture out there, this place has been a welcome harbor from the elements on cold days chasing down web clients in lower Ballard. The lady behind the counter has acted as though she has a personal stake in the store.

Now that my sister has settled into life in Ballard, it only makes sense that the baristas already know her name! Starbucks is her Cheers. The baristas are friendly, and they make their drinks well. The location is perfect if you also need to do some shopping at Fred Meyer since it’s right next door. Perfect. Just too far away for me most days. ;o)

Quick, pleasant, and made my drink the way I like it. I got a little small talk and left happy. It’s small and completely personable.

A cozy little Starbucks tucked in by Fred Meyer. They don’t have a lot of room, but it’s nice for getting a bev just before or after shopping, or doing a bit of computer work. They don’t have a lot of tables, but most of the traffic is in-and-out, so you can usually get a table; outlets are limited, so plan to work on battery power.

Good Starbucks spot! It’s a small store but it serves it’s purpose. There are a few seats to sit down at, it has merchandise, and of course, an awesome dessert and food cooler and a great drink menu like all other locations. It’s great if you work near by(as I do) or if you are completing your shopping trip at Fred Meyer. The store is clean, the staff is very friendly, and I like to visit this one in this neighborhood more so than the one that is down the street at Safeway. Stop in and grab some coffee at this location, it’s good! :)

Been here a bunch of times. This place is busy for a fred’s shopping center but the staff always seems to be nice and try to work as fast as possible

Service is great here. Smaller place and is connected to Fred Meyers. Parking is easy to come by and usually not crowded. I usually go to Fred Meyers, so it’s nice to just walk over after doing some shopping.

Guy at register coughed a «wet» cough all over his hands, didn’t wash them, then proceeded to write on my cup and TOUCHTHERIMWITHHISHANDS. Ewwww. They didn’t have any milk out other than cream, I had to ask for it behind the counter. It was oddly hot in here. Not the best Starbucks experience.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I already know that 98% of other Seattlites are too cool for Starbucks anymore. That the Bux doesn’t even really make their coffee but rather just push a couple buttons and it’s done for them. That they pillage and plunder and kick any child or puppy that crosses their path. I know, bane of your existence, blah blah blah. Well I still dig ‘em. This Bux is a nice change for me. Never seems to get as crowded as the larger solo stores. Baristas that actually remember after a few visits who I am and what I like. Blueberry scones back in their rotation after a long hiatus from the pastry window. Rarely more than a full 5 minutes from the time I’ve walked through the door to when I have my coffee in hand. But most importantly, the Bux is consistent– I always know exactly what I’m getting every time that I go, no matter which store that I go to. That, to me, speaks volumes. Being that this Starbucks is located within the same gargantuan building as the Ballard Fred Meyer, the parking here is like it is at any Fred Meyer… insane. But it does exist, you just have to walk a couple extra rows to get there. That’s still much better than the solo Bux stores either in Ballard, Fremont, or Wallingford, all of which have impossible parking situations along the busy streets they’re located on. In a nutshell, what it comes down to is this: I am not a coffee connoisseur nor do I plan to be. I’m sure that there ARE other better coffees in the Seattle area if I drove out of my way to get to them. And I’m sure that other coffees or coffee shops may do better things for the world and for the environment and have no qualms about jumping on their soap box to preach that they do. But I, for one, am a self-professed Starbucks whore and will continue to be until the end of my time here on this Starbucks over-populated earth! Now, stick that in your pie hole and shut it.
