I frequent various Starbucks locations on a weekly basis. I tend to order simple drinks like Americanos or a basic latte. The Americano I got here was the nastiest, most bitter Americano I’ve ever had, even after filling my «extra room» with half and half. It was finally drinkable after I brought it home and added MORE half and half(it might as well be a latte at this point) and heated it back up. I’m sure I’ll be back because its in my neighborhood, but I’m not likely to visit often.

Overall well-executed business model but this place is so LOUD… and the seats are uncomfortable but maybe that’s to keep you from staying too long… not an unusual business strategy for convenience spots. When you are sitting in there for a good while, working on your computer, the environment matters. It’s not the patrons that are loud, the noise behind the counter is off-putting but this is the same at every Sbucks. I prefer the Uptown Espresso diagonally located from this Sbucks across the intersection. Easy parking!

Why does this starbucks have such a low overall rating? The staff here are super friendly and really make an effort to remember frequent customers names. My drinks are always done right and quickly, and the store itself has lots of seating room inside as well as outside. It’s always hoppin, no matter what time of the day. Not an extraordinary starbucks(it’s no reserve roastery and tasting room on cap hill) but not a bad one either.

This Starbucks is amazing, I don’t know what I would do without this place! The staff is wonderful, they always get my order right and they are super friendly and efficient. Kudos to the management for hiring great talent and keeping quality their number one concern.

This Starbucks is very regularly busy with lines; however, the staff moves the line quickly and efficiently. The staff is friendly and personable– although at times can clearly be a bit rushed because of the volume they do during peak hours. I would recommend using the mobile app to order your drink 2 – 5 minutes before you plan on picking it up and then you can easily pick it up at the hand off bar and bypass the order line. Overall though a great Starbucks in terms of efficiency and consistent quality.

Ignore the mean reviews– they are wonderful here, especially the current staff! better than all the other starbucks baristas BYFAR! I don’t even love the food here or coffee in general, but the awesome service keeps me coming back– they genuinely care about people here! Thank you!

The staff get yelled at a lot and it makes this super awkward. Some little brunette girl just started snapping at the lady who was helping me… while she was helping me. Kinda ruins the coffee

I go to Starbucks a lot. there is no sense of urgency at this location. cashiers are very slow and do not seem to care about the length of time that it takes to complete an order. Today I ordered a coffee, a water, and an order of cookies for my son. we immediately got the coffee and cookies, but had to wait 10 minutes for the water… recently new cashiers got confused on web assisted orders… very poor service… I was next in line on a long order, so the barista asked me what I wanted… I asked for a coffee. I still had to wait for the previous customer to get through her long order to pay for my coffee… again poor service… no care in the world for the length of the line… when the line is 7 people thick… the team should work to reduce the length of the line by working faster…

The cappaccino I ordered this afternoon was tongue scalding hot, a cappaccino should never be that hot. I had to throw it away. I only stop here when I’m walking because I have money on my Starbucks app, but once I use up the money I’m not going to add more. I avoid Starbucks in general, there are much better places to get coffee. The food and baked goods have also really gone downhill.

I’ve gone to the Magnolia Starbucks for over 20 years, and it never improves. I think it is secretly a training site. It has the highest staff turnover of the Starbucks I know, and is always backed up and chaotic in the mornings, often out of coffee, the staff yelling over each other, not paying attention to your order, and getting too many orders wrong. The people change constantly, but not the service. I can’t figure out why this store is consistently so much worse than other Starbucks, but I’ve started going to another on Queen Anne where they remember your name and your usual order, instead of treating you like a stranger after coming in for years.

It would truly be fabulous if the Starbucks in Magnolia was as wonderful as Magnolia. It is not. 7 times out of 10, there is such a long wait — uncharacteristically so, even for Starbucks(the downtown Starbucks move at lightning-speed compared to this one, with more people in line). I find myself actually surprised if I get in and out under 15 minutes. Further, they always have plenty of people behind the bar; why so slow? Otherwise, the baristas are friendly and barista-like, and they have a Clover. The verdict: I *only* time I go to this Starbucks if I don’t have somewhere to be.

This one is good. Or, perhaps I should say that the barista Kaylan is great. She’s probably the friendliest Sbux Barista that I have ever met. She’ll remember your drink order and make it with a smile. If I have to visit a Starbucks without being prodded, this one is the only one I’ll go to.

I was in the area a bit early, so I wandered into Starbucks with my not-nearly-done-enough-for-my-taste copy of Game of Thrones. There were a few people inside hanging out and reading, so the atmosphere was very relaxed, and it was nice having a bit of AC on a hot day. The barista immediately knew what I was ordering(not everyone knows the Captain Crunch Frappaccino), and it came out what seemed mere seconds later! Delicious and fast? Love it! I sat inside for a while, and no one bothered me while I made my attempts to get further into my 800+ page novel. Overall, if you’re in the area, this is a perfect location to grab some coffee and chill inside or outside.

Being the only Starbucks(and one of the few coffee shops) in the oasis that is Magnolia, this one gets a lot of traffic. Unlike some shops where most people are in-and-out, here most tend to hang for a bit. As someone else mentioned, it’s clearly one of the major community hangouts, and everyone is very nice and friendly. The arrangement inside, with a «wing» in back to the right of the counter, makes for a naturally separate area there, and that seems to be where the moms/nannies hang with their tiny charges. Given the relatively undirected enthusiasm of young kids, that tends to be a pretty loud area(the hard floor reflects sound, too!), so don’t sit near there if you can’t concentrate! I really like that this location has one of the excellent 4-person Starbucks computer tables, nice and solid with a power strip in the center well; unfortunately, it’s back in the kiddie area. Think of it as practice in learning how to ignore kids when necessary. On the good side, since it’s in the back, there’s not much glare from the front windows. If you’re not using a computer, those windows are very nice, letting in a lot of light and helping to brighten up those short dark winter days. If it’s summer, the tables and chairs out front are a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Bevs and snacks are pretty much Sbux standard and the staff seems nice enough.

What can I say… It’s just another Starbucks. Service was good but what do you expect when they have 6 people behind the counter on a slow Sunday afternoon.

I want to love you, oh Magnolia Village Starbucks — really, I do. But with the recent lack of consistency on your side of this relationship begs questioning! Are you seeing someone else? Giving them correct change and perfect beverages, without snide remarks or ill-fated attempts at humor? Because I personally am not witnessing the aforementioned items. Saddened, I am. We’ve had such a history Starbucks, but I feel that I must not see you again. Can’t fathom the thought of being so troubled by something as basic as a latte.(Of which should not taste like cleaning solution.) Adieu…

Urgh, there was a register next to the door, that totally confused me, other than that, they gave me my great coffee, and also gave me direction sot the library, which I was trying to find. Magnolia is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods that I’ve ever seen, also it has the nicest people.
