Stopped in for just the salad tonight; it is so delicious and with a piece of injera is completely satisfying. This place should be packed to the gills. Everything they make is delicious, especially the lamb tibs. The kitfo is also buttery amazing goodness. The woman who runs the place is incredibly nice; when I plan on bringing in a bunch of friends I call in advance and special order the mushroom wot, which I’ve never seen at any other Ethiopian restaurants. Tell everybody to get to Little Saigon and track down the best Ethiopian in the city!

Ethiopian is my favorite food and this is my favorite Ethiopian place in Seattle. This is the reincarnation of Mesob(RIP). It’s the same menu. The food is consistently great and a little different every time. Great selection of Ethiopian beers such as Hakim and Harrar(which is hard to find). Also great domestics such as Mac & Jack’s and Manny’s. Service is very friendly. Prices are verrrrry reasonable. The veggie combo feeds two for $ 10 and is fantastic. They recently redecorated and improved the atmosphere. The parking lot looks mega sketchy but that’s how you know it’s good.

I ordered delivery through bitesquad, so I can’t speak to the restaurant itself. The food was delicious. I ordered the yedoro tibes and a veggie combo. Both were delicious, although for me, the tibes were way too spicy. I’m kind of a wimp and prone to heartburn but for someone else it might be perfect. This is not the fault of the restaurant — the dish is labeled as spicy. The taste was delicious though and I wish I had been able to eat more of it. Next time I’ll pay more attention. The veggie combo was awesome — little tastes of the different veggie options on the menu. It was a huge amount of food, especially with the extra injera. Just the veggie combo would have been enough for 2 – 3 meals since injera is so filling.

I’ve been here twice, and I have to say that the veggie platters are inconsistent. I liked it the first time, but the second time around, everything was pretty much on the salty side except for the cabbage. The injera helped. The mild beef was fine though. mostly tender(a few fatty pieces) and good sauce. FYI, ordered a can of coke to go. It’s $ 2.

Spicy, fast and affordable, enuf said? We generally order the Mesob Platter(carry over from their former restaurant), sometimes we get the Veggie Watt and the Sambussa. It’s all Dee-LISH!

The server didn’t speak much english, but don’t let that deter you. A friend was desperate to find out where Mesob went and I now I know why. The food is good. Just really really good. I don’t know the names of stuff really, yeah I am that person, but put infront of me and I eat it. I will be back, even if the service is awkward, because a cheap delicious meal is worth it.

Circled around the place for like 3x because we just missing it on a rainy night. Everything here was spectacular! We licked the plate clean. I was still thinking and salivating over that lamb 2 hours after we left the restaurant. Give this place a try!

It is hidden away in a small, mostly Vietnamese strip mall/plaza. The décor is better than average for an Ethiopian restaurant. The music they played was skipping constantly, which was slightly annoying. Waitress did not appear terribly enthusiastic and spent the majority of her time messing with a smartphone. We were one of two tables dining. The staff seemed limited to a server and the owner/chef. We don’t place that much emphasis on fast service, because the majority of Ethiopian restaurants have slow service. I am not new to Ethiopian food. My wife and I usually judge a new Ethiopian restaurant by the quality of the kitfo or gored gored(also injera quality and freshness). They have both kitfo and gored gored on the menu, which is a plus. We ordered both dishes. I reminded our waitress that I wanted these beef dishes raw, which is customary. I only remind them because I am not Ethiopian and sometimes a restaurant will assume I want it cooked if I don’t specify raw. Service was slightly slow, about 45 minutes to bring the first dish out. Not really atypical. Kitfo was served leb leb(cooked). Not how I asked for it to be served, which was especially frustrating since the menu advertises raw as an option and I asked for it raw. About 5 minutes later, gored gored came out, and it was cooked medium rare. Injera was dry and cool. When you folded it to pick food up, it would split. It didn’t seem fresh. I like my dishes spicy, and these came out spicy. Probably the only satisfying part of the meal. Side salad looked kind of wilty. Owner stopped by to ask how the food was. I told her that the kitfo and gored gored were cooked and not raw. She said that I had to request it raw. I informed her that I did specifically ask for these dishes to be served raw. The owner seemed like a nice lady and interested in customer feedback, but she did not make any particular effort to address my dissatisfaction with the dishes. I don’t like to leave 1-star reviews, but this was not a good experience.

The best doro wat(chicken stew) in Seattle. Everything else delicious too, home made with love and care and authentic! Located in the corner of a Vietnamese shopping center so keep looking, you will find it. Zufan the owner and cook, makes you feel like you are at home. What a great place. We will be back for sure. Additionally, a great value. So happy we found Shewaber.

This is our favorite Ethiopian place. It is worth the drive. We always get the veggie combo, but their Mesob combo is great too. It’s also very cheap.

The food here is delicious! My friend and I went on March 31, and I had something like Zilzi tibs, and he had a spicy chicken dish. We also had the appetizer, and I had a mango drink. Yum! Shewaber is a little hard to find — on The Stranger it said 1221 S. Main St., but it’s actually 4 businesses down from that address, in Suite 105. The cook is Zufan, and she makes you feel right at home. Don’t miss the authenticity of Shewaber!

Same owner from Mesob opened up a new restaurant! Go go it’s amazing and meets all the amazing reviews I heard about Mesob from friends. Don’t miss it. Delisciously amazing. Amazing service. Amazing food. We brought it home, are eating the left overs from the combo plate for breakfast, and my wife exclaimed — «Where’d you two get this! Let’s go there!»

This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle! The chef used to be at Mesob.
