Shadow Nails

This place made me so happy, starting from the way they welcome, ending with the manicure itself. Totally loved the result, and will definitely be back :)

The ladies are extremely nice! Kathy took her time doing my nails and they came out perfect! And they have a wonderful polish selection. She did everything i asked. I found a new nail shop! I will be back !

Best pedicure I ever had. And they fit me in without a reservation, without too much of a wait.

My nails came out wonderfully. There were a few flaws that I pointed out and they were not fixed. Just attempted to cover it up.
I got the shalack French tips. Black too with a silver line at the bottom. The flaws were the silver line were a little smudged and uneven. And a black hair was caught in the clear coat. I was basically told its not noticeable. Which its not. But I noticed. And then can’t un notice.
I will be back. I really liked it there. I went in not sure if I should get shalack or acrylic. She said I have wonderful nails and should ruin them with acrylics. I appreciated that should could have talked me into it just for more money. But she didn’t. I will be back for sure.

Very satisfied that I’ve found my new nail place, it’s so hard to find a reasonably priced nail salon that has friendly service (they make a point to remember you by name). Efficient and satisfactory nail service; I got acrylics in less than an hour. The reason I haven’t given five stars is because there were just a couple of nails that the French tips weren’t the right size and I didn’t notice until the day after. Also the building was a little cold since the heating was broken. Overall though, amazing for the price! Make sure to make an appointment.

Tried to go here on a sunday at noon, even though the window says open 7 days a week the door was locked and they weren’t open. Disappointing.

This is the second time I’ve been here and LOVE IT! Kathy does a great job. Last time she fixed my poorly done acrylic manicure (Jenny nails behind QFC really let me down, won’t be going back to them). She has great attention to detail and I will continue to go there for fills ($ 15). I always make an appointment and never have to wait long. Very affordable. Overall this place has kept me happy, it’s now my nail spot.

I had a great experience getting a mani/​pedi here. This place was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint.
My feet were completely pampered! This was my first pedicure so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The lady working on my toes was very friendly, super fast at freshening my tootsies, and gave me a great leg massage before she expertly applied my toenail polish. (The scrub was my favorite!)
Then as my pedicure was being done someone came over and began my manicure. My cuticles were a hot mess but she fixed me up real fast!
I left totally relaxed and with super cute, bright pink, fingers and toes!
I plan on making this a regular spot. :)

Very happy with my pedicure! They fit me in despite having a busy morning, and if your in a hurry, this is the place to go. I was done in less then an hour and they did a great job. Only thing I wish that was included was hot stones and paraffin.

I’ve been to shadow nails twice and had two very different experiences. A few weeks ago I came in for a pedicure. The experience was wonderful! My toes looked great and the prices were unbeatable. I was particularly impressed with the selection of colors and how friendly the staff was… I thought I had found my go-​to nail salon.
Today I went in for a shellac manicure and am very disappointed. Simply put, my nails look sloppy. I selected a khaki color, and I almost think the nail tech (one of the owners) couldn’t see the polish clearly. My cuticles look messy. The polish application looks like something I could have done at home… Not completely awful, but certainly not salon quality.
Unfortunatly, I will need to find a different nail salon.

Great experience. We stopped in for a pedi without an appointment and they took us right away. We were greeted with bottled water, our choice of magazines, and an array of colors to choose from for our pedis.
The staff were professional and very kind. I highly recommend Shadow Nails.

Went in a couple days ago. Long soak and fine polish. No pain at all! Massage was overly gentle but I’m an Amazon so I forgive her! Gregory had a great time and no one batted an eye at his bright green nail polish. Very affordable, no pain! Love this place!

I adore this place. Everyone here is so sweet and friendly. They always do such a good job, and I have never had any problems with the job they do.
I’m never going anywhere else.

They are very friendly, I had been coming here before I moved out of state for 2 years. I came back once I moved back and they remembered me and were willing to pick up colors I’d like at their supply store for acrylic powder. Very customer service oriented and sweet!

I go here every two weeks!!! I get multiple colors and glitter shallac every time and they always do an amazing job. It’s very inexpensive. As a bartender, massage therapist, and musician I’m super happy with how long the shallac stays on! it never chips! Tip these ladies well try deserve it!

I decided to hit up a nail salon in my neighborhood since I needed a stat mani-​pedi before my vacation. Luckily, Shadow Nails was a walk away from my place and only charged $ 30 for a mani-​pedi. Overall, I enjoyed the services here. The lady gave me a nice calf and shoulder massage that almost knocked me out. Aside from that, it was unfortunate that my mani started chipping two days after. I’ve never experienced that with the other nails salons I’ve tried so I was pretty disappointed. However, my pedi has lasted over a week so I’m not quite sure why my mani didn’t last as long since I used the same polish.
I would come back due to the massage but I’ll probably try their shellac next time around.

After calling several places «just to see» if I could get a pedicure, I decided that I actually really really wanted one. Shadow Nails was the only place that agreed that I could show up in 10mins for a pedi. Yes!
Located on a small trip on Greenwood, it was easy to drive past, which I did. But they have parking right in front when you’ve turned around. The shop interior is a bit worn but the facilities (chair/​foot tub/​tools) were clean. I enjoyed a luxurious foot soak before they scrubbed/​trimmed. After my nails were painted, a pillow was brought out for me to rest my feet upon. That was kind of odd but endearing.
While I dried, a few regular customers came in to chat and confirm their appointments later in the week. I liked that. Eventually I had to pull away from the massage chair, which was working just fine for me (the two kids playing nearby starting shrieking, as kids only do: «she’s getting up, she’s getting up!» lol) and start the rest of my day.
They were very nice and gracious. I am happy to come back here any time for a pedicure.

I drove by many many times and I always thought it’s a «happy ending» place for gentlemen until I read Jamie Y’s review and decided to give it a try! I am not very good at pampering myself in this kind of luxury way because I have really short nails in general. Summer is coming! Though, I might not have the best finger nails, I still want my toe nails look as good as they can be. I decided to walk in and and pamper myself with both a Manicure and a Pedicure.

Interior — 3 STARS
They don’t have the most fancy interior because it’s an old building. However, they do have a comfy couch if you need to wait. There are 4 spa/​massage chairs for pedicure.
Service — 4 STARS
I love that I don’t have to wait. I walked in, picked my color, and they already got the spa going. Within 5 mins, I was in the massage chair and soaked my feet in the spa. I’ve never been served by two ladies; one was taking care of the manicure and the other was taking care of the pedicure. I’ve never felt so pampered and really felt like a queen.
I think the price was reasonable. Both manicure and pedicure together cost $ 30. It was great!
