First time here. The staff are friendly and the Dark Chocolate Mocha with HempMilk was a good drink. The cheese cake and fondant were tasty. Only neg things are that the cats dont socialize with you at all. When you try to pet them theyll either walk or run away from you. Not many cats at all. Also the one hour time limit kinda sucks. In Korea the cat cafes are good for all day. I might go back if a friend or relative invites me.

Don’t forget to make a reservation before you come! My friends and I came not knowing that you needed a reservation. Luckily, there was room so we made a reservation then came back a few hours later. If you just want to stay in the café and not enter the cat lounge, then you do not need a reservation. You get to stay in the cat lounge for 50 minutes, I believe. It is $ 10 admission, but that includes a drink! That is a great deal. You can choose any size! So don’t just go for the small haha. Also, the Meowca= Mocha. The cat lounge was so cute! Cats were climbing everywhere and licking my hand and sleeping. Mainly sleeping. As one Unilocaler suggested, definitely try to go as early as you can! After customers constantly coming in, I can understand why these cats just want to sleep. Our reservation was at 1PM and most of the cats were curled up sleeping :( There are some really sweet cats, but there was one that was a little feisty lol. There is a guide on the wall of all the cats and their names and what they’re known for. I really wanted Lily the Lapsitter to wake up and play, but she didn’t. Anyway, if you want to forget about all your troubles for an hour or are a cat lady, you’ll enjoy it here!

While the cats are cute and fun to watch, what was a super nice surprise is just how damned good the coffee is! Not just because it’s Herkimer coffee, but also because they make it perfectly — whether an Ameicano or a Cappucino. Their treats are also delicious, but a bit too expensive so I rarely get them.

I had someone from out of town come visit, so we spontaneously decided to check out the cat café. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, you have to make advance online reservations. Thus, we were banished in the café area(separate from the cats) and look inwards as if we were window shopping for cats. The café in itself was pretty small, but there were a few people inside doing homework. It’s a total hipster joint to be honest, although I’m not entirely sure(original) hipsters are still around. Service was friendly even tho they would not allow us to see the cats. The drink menu is a little small, but they have cute theme human treats and will have fun cat theme art on your«meowcca» or «catpuccino». In terms of cats and their health. These cats are extremely plumped and seemingly have a good life. In terms of stress on the animals for having constant, but different, people come in and out on an hourly basis– I can’t say for certain the long term effect. They currently seem healthy and hopefully will get adopted soon.

Five full stars!!! I have been waiting for a local cat café since I saw Katy Perry’s movie lol. This place is ten bucks for a drink and an hour in a clean and endearing cat lounge. Pros– Very inexpensive Cute cats– residents and ones for adoption through king county regional animal services Which I REALLYLIKE instead of bred cats– so many animals are homeless): Very nice staff from the pixie cut girl who served up a delicious chai tea to Alexandra, who was in the cat lounge This would be an EXCELLENT first date location Great location near Archie mcphees, in a safe® area, bus stop(44 I think) directly in front of and across, easy to find CLEAN Very good for the cats. Very roomy, tons of climbing, not to mention it socializes the cats, lots of nooks. Clearly a lot of thought was put into it. Amazing architecture of the cat room Delicious drinks and really cute pastries The cats are all really relaxed and soft. Sleeping, playful. One was stressed out but calmed down. I would be too if I was homeless and one foot tall.): toys seemed a little beat up, to be expected. Not really a con at all they’re not broken just worn by kitties :) I am absolutely a regular customer now, it was amazing. I told my cat that if I come home smelling like other cats don’t get mad. You can get coffee type drinks for less than Starbucks but you get CATS. You can come and buy a drunk or pastry and observe, or make a reservation easily on the website– ten bucks and includes a drink and an hour with cats.

Very cute place. Beverages were tasty as well. We went at 11 today(had a reservation online) and there were about 7 – 10 kitties about. Most of them were fairly playful and willing to put up with us :) $ 10 per person for 50 minutes including drink which was a pretty good deal. Place was clean and sanitary and the cats seemed well cared for. Definitely coming back here again

The cat playroom is the real draw here, not the café. It’s like a jungle gym for cats, with ramps, perches, bridges, tunnels, shelves, boxes, and lots of toys. Your experience will be more like a petting zoo. There’s a one hour time limit where you(and the other humans) try to get the attention of, pet, play with, and take pictures of all the cats, while the majority of the cats will be sleeping or ignoring you. It’s a bit strange to interact with animals that are notoriously shy and asocial, on a time limit. Do the cats even like being pet by 50 strangers a day? Anyway, it’s a good activity for a date, and good for groups of girls who want to take selfies with cats.

Oh dear. Someone who works here found me on Facebook and sent me the cattiest(zing!) message. Sorry to see that this particular staff can’t handle a 3-star review and feels the need to harass me on a separate social media platform. Speaks volumes about the professionalism of this company.

Let me preface the review and say that my girlfriend and I were very excited to finally come here for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the online reservation system as well as the available forms of contact with the business are more than lackluster. First off, we had issues rescheduling a appointment for a later date. We originally had a appointment for two on a Saturday and we’re rescheduling to push it a week back. We went through the online process and everything seemed fine after reaching the confirmation page. However, days later, we were notified that we still had our cancelled appointment coming up for just one person. This seemed like something we could resolve over the phone or through email since their system is all online. Here comes the real big issue; the lack of available and responsive contact methods. The only phone number listed on their Google business page and their Unilocal page is a seemingly unrelated number. There are no business numbers available that go to the store itself. After leaving a voice mail to this strange number, we decided to email the business on their webpage form since they seem like an online business that would, as such, respond quickly through email. We still haven’t had ANY response, be it through email or phone, after more than a day of waiting. We are left forced to pay for the one appointment that was messed up due to the scheduler, and to cancel our future appointment since it only has one person listed. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend giving business to a store that isn’t responsive in customer service, and is not capable of properly listing phone numbers for customers to reach out to. As someone who is part of the tech field, it makes no sense to have an online scheduler and have zero online customer support.

Um they have kitties and coffee so of course they get a 5 star review. As one person said, it is a little goofy to spend money to pet a kitty but hey why not? Here’s some highlights: –My meowcha(yep that’s the name) was really delicious. I would be happy to order that at any café. The fact that it had a cat stencil on the top made it even better — The kitties were pretty pooped. By 5pm they had had a lot of human for the day. I feel that way about humans by 5pm so I get it. So if you are looking for crazy playful then earlier in the day may be better. I was just fine with chill kitties. I was cool with sitting with one next to me while I chatted and had my coffee for part of the time. — You can’t pick up the kitties. I didn’t try but I realllllly wanted to. I understand why you can’t but I’m just saying it was a challenge to not squeeze them — if you need to call the café, there is currently no phone. We got stuck in traffic and were almost late for our appointment. I was worried they would give away our spot so I tried to call ahead. Sadly the number on Google is for some poor guy. It goes to his cell phone which sends out an automatic message that he’s not the cat café. For his sake I hope Google fixes it soon. I checked with the girls at the café and they are having problems with the phone line that was installed. Anyway, we had a good time. I’m not sure I need to go again or often since I have my own little ones at home, but it was a fun way to spend my birthday. I will definitely bring friends when they come to town and miss their kitties and want a unique experience.

The staff are very friendly, and you can tell how much they care about the cats. I think it’s wonderful that they are able to help out shelter cats while providing a fun experience for cat lovers! One of the staff let me know that they will begin adopting out the cats soon, so you might even meet your next family member here! :) Again, you’ll need a reservation to spend time in the cat room. $ 10 is not bad at all since it even comes with a drink. The setup is really cool too — lots of spaces for the cats to lounge and climb. Everything is just really well done! I will definitely come back sometime soon!

I had been anxiously awaiting the opening of this cat café, and at long last my reserved time had come. For $ 10 you get any drink of your choice followed by 50 minutes in the cat lounge. If you don’t reserve a spot in the cat lounge you’re still welcome to grab a drink and check out what’s going on through a giant clear window. Desserts and merchandise are of course extra, but you’ll want to make sure you pick some up to get the full experience. The cat lounge is beautifully designed and the cats are all young, friendly, and potentially adoptable. The room has built out playgrounds that reach up to the ceiling and wrap around the room. There were about 10 cats in the louge, and though most were sleepy there was always a cat or two more than willing to play. Considering they spend all day around people, they were as active as can be expected and didn’t seem stressed at all. Plus, they have tables in the cat lounge where you can relax with your drink or read any of the silly cat-related reading materials. I’ve also fostered cats and volunteered with them at animal shelters, and I am very impressed by how kindly they treat their kitties. At any time the cats can move into a different room to get a break from the crowd, or jump up high to still be in view but out of reach. There is also an employee in the cat lounge at all times to make sure they aren’t being mishandled. Outstanding value for a unique experience. I wouldn’t change a thing and I can’t wait for my return trip.

Coffee and cats my two favorite things in the world! This cat café is really cat-tastic! Make sure to make a reservation online if you want to go in the cat room. It just costs $ 10 for 50 minutes and they give you a free drink. This café is doing a really great thing for homeless cats eventually you can adopt. Be prepared to fall in love with all the cute cats. Rating out of 10 meows: Staff: 10 meows Environment: 10 meows Drinks/food: 10 meows cats: 10 meows

An online reservation here includes two parts: 1. A drink 2. 50 minutes with the cats First, the drink. With a reservation, you can actually choose any drink off their menu in any size and with any extras(flavor shots) or substitutions(soy/hemp/coconut milk) at no extra cost! I ordered a medium chai tea latte and it was frothy and delicious. There is also a pastry case filled with gorgeous scones, croissants, and cat shaped macarons. Secondly, the cats. While the website states there are 10 – 15 cats at a time, we only counted 7 when we visited. The cats also seemed a little overstimulated by the endless groups of people coming in hour after hour, so some did tend to keep to themselves. Overall though, every cat was adorable and worthy of all the love they were being showered with here! An hour well spent.

When I think of cat cafes, I initially think of the crazy coffee shops in Japan. If Japan can have a maid café, why not a cat café, right? Seattle Meowtropolitan is the first cat café in the city. I will say, it is a little odd to pay to pet a cat, but it’s definitely a different experience. However, I appreciate the fact that they’re working with a local animal shelter to give these feline friends a chance to be adopted. Though I didn’t take any cute cats home with me, it was a good time to catch up and bond over a new experience. **Here are some highlights & important info for your visit: –Located in Wallingford(Inbetween UW& Fremont). –Street parking only. –Online reservations are a must if you want to personally hang out and pet the kitties. They only book about 2 week’s in advance, which makes it challenging to reserve yourself a spot. The $ 10 reservation gives you 50 mins of up close personal time in the cat room & a cup of joe. –If you don’t have a reservation, no sweat! The café portion for coffee and food is open to everyone. –The café: A cup of coffee and a baked good typically ranges from $ 3-$ 5 each. Truthfully, their one main drawback would be the café itself. Don’t get me wrong, the baristas were very nice and friendly. It’s just that the coffee isn’t that great(way too much foam and a little weak). Plus, their pastry case was fairly empty when we arrived. I also think paying $ 3 for a macaron is a bit steep, but it’s hard to resist a baked good with a face on it Overall though, I enjoyed the experience. Luckily, the no reservation thing worked for us since there was luckily one no show that day, and my one friend was able to experience the whole shabang.

What an awesome place! Friendly staff and great intention! You can play with the shelter cats and if you make a connection, you can adopt: D It’s $ 10 for an hour reservation and you get a free drink with that! Pretty cool. I enjoyed my drink in the cat room, petting kitties :3

First I have to say I love the management here. They truly are considerate people. The overall experience was fun for my whole family. Everything was very clean and smelled clean too(I went to a Cat Café in Seoul, South Korea and it smelled horrible)…This place smelled nice! The cats of course have their own personalities, some it’s nice to just sit back and watch their behavior too. The café part itself has some tasty looking treats,.vegan options! We ordered our drinks, chai lattes and hot cocoas. I have to say I wasn’t impressed by the drinks, they were all too weak tasting, so if that’s one thing they can improve that would be great!

I am so glad this place is finally open! The staff is really friendly, especially the lady who worked in the cat room. I got the meowcha and a chocolate cake like thing with a cat on it. The coffee was very good and the cake thing was delicious. The cats were sleeping when I came in but they became more active a littler later when more people showed up. The cats were friendly and lovable. I can’t wait to go again!

What a fun way to spend a hour! Have a cup of coffee AND cuddles some kitties? I’m in. –Get there 10 minutes early to order your coffee. They also have some cat themed sweet treats if you are hungry. –You sanitize your hands on the way in, and out. When they hour is over, you need to have either finished your coffee or throw it away because once it has been in the cat room it cannot leave that area(health dept considers it a «possible contamination») –You decide your level of involvement. You can approach the cats, sit on the floor and play, or sit at a table and see if someone comes your way. You have plenty of time to warm up to them, and them to you, so don’t feel like you have to rush interaction. –There are ABOUT10 cats and 10 people. That said the cats do have a back room with a kitty door so if they just want to get away, they do have that option. They also have plenty of places to hide and climb so your ability to touch and pet them may change throughout your hour long visit. All in all a wonderful experience and great coffee! I highly recommend. Oh! APPOINTMENTSAREREQUIRED! Not current toy available for walk in hours so check out their website first.

A cat café in Seattle? Um, yes please! It recently had some soft openings, and once it opens(supposed date is 12⁄26), I would wait a bit to give the cats a chance to get use to the place and crowd. They were still shy when I visited, with the exception of one or two, as they were just introduced to the space a few days ago. Once you walk in, there’s a counter where you can order coffee, tea, and desserts/pastries. They even have cat-shaped macarons, and cat-related coffee art, which are super cute(although the macarons aren’t quite Honey & Butter-cute yet)! I can’t speak much on the drink/food taste though; my meowcha was okay, but I don’t generally drink coffee. Let me know what you think of the drinks/food if you try them! There’s seating in that area, but if you made reservations for the cat lounge, you can go to the separate lounge and drink/eat there. Reservations are required for the cat lounge, and it looks like they can be made on their website! I believe it’s $ 10 for 50 minutes, but that includes a free drink, and the price is actually on par with some of the cat cafes I’ve been to in Japan. One of the things I’m not sure how I feel about though, is how there’s cat food sitting out the whole time. I guess it’s okay if the cats know how to portion their intake, but not so great for a cat who has overeating issues. NOTE: Meowtropolitan partnered with Regional Animal Services of King County, and so these cats are adoptable! Also, the best time to go might be afternoon, when the cats are more awake/active.
