The temple is so authentic and beautiful! The main teacher is one of the highest Tibetan Buddhism teacher. People are friendly and welcoming. They have different language options both in Tibetan and English which I find helpful! They tours every month and study groups for beginners.

I highly recommend the Friday Calm Abiding Meditation. It’s open to the public. They have introductory short sits starting at 7:00 PM where a few different short meditations are explained. At 7:30 the long sit sessions begin, consisting of three 20 minute sessions including a walking meditation around the front shrine/​altar. I find these longer sits really force you to find your inner calm. I always leave feeling awake, energized, and ready to start my Friday night.
Be sure to check their schedule:
Some Friday nights, they have special ceremonies (often not intended for those uninitiated into Buddhist practices) and the Calm Abiding Meditation is designated @Home.

Wonderful. Intro classes in English. Chenrizi blessing at 10 am in English. wait for it… it will happen. Lectures and retreats and all kinds of good stuff offered:) Wonderful! You can invite a monk to sit with you or somebody experienced at least-​they will ask-​say yes-it’s very helpful the first time or two and they are friendly!
