Barista with a bad attitude treated me like dirt. I’m not planning to come back here after my experience. I came here expecting and hoping to love this place. But the barista was snarky and dismissive, and treated me like i was stupid, in the way that young men often treat older women. i have no need to go to a place with a guy who feels entitled to treat anyone with disrespect. i can go to PCC right around the corner where everyone is sunny and friendly. In fact, i spend a lot of time at the greenlake village PCC, and was looking forward to expanding to this coffee place in the neighborhood. But that won’t be happening. I’ll tell everyone i know about the awful experience i had. I’d give negative stars if i could. i really don’t know why everyone is so enchanted with the place, but maybe they are younger and and more appealing to the barista.

Great little coffee shop with a few select baked goods available(muffins and I think there are breakfast sandwiches until 10am). I had a muffin to eat with a coffee/espresso drink. Both were tasty. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced.

Four stars for good service, good coffee, and nice environment. Minus one star for the lack of variety in food options especially for anyone with food allergies. I see a lot of dogs here, not sure if that’s just a greenlake thing, but it’s half the reason I go!

One of my favorite little local coffee shops. Not many places have rice milk these days. The owner is usually on the grind and I love him. Good place to study too, with punny little magnets on the espresso machine. Its too bad about the now metered parking but if you walk a few blocks up woodlawn its free.

I really like the atmosphere and staff here – and the food and drink are good. It’s somehow tucked away a bit from the area crowds, and it feels like a really comfy, relaxed place to be in. I second the other reviewers who say it feels like being in your living room – only it’s more spacious and less cluttered than my living room, lol. The staff is super friendly, and they have a nice selection of other drinks besides coffee. I like ordering tea to relax. It’s interesting how there can be a lot of customers sitting at different tables, and our group sits in the middle in a circle of chairs(nice that they allow us to do that), yet it’s nice and quiet for a coffee shop. Nobody’s affected by other people’s noise and conversations, as is common in most places – making everyone have to talk louder and louder until you can barely hear the person next to you. Not at all like that here. They’ve got really good feng shui or something going on here. Great place to kick back and meet friends or even go alone and be able to concentrate enough to read a book.

Phil had my name and my drink down by my 3rd visit. Other people on staff are quite friendly and make a great cup of coffee. The pastries are delicious. This place is exactly what you want in your neighborhood coffee joint. Also, they serve Herkimer coffee, which if you don’t know, you should, it’s excellent.

One of the best coffee houses near Greenlake. Had a strawberry smoothie and it was too good. They also have espresso refills for just 75 cents. The ambience is also very good. And they have board games too. Perfect to visit this place with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon.

Great typical Seattle coffee joint with lots of space and great seating options. I tried the Chai which was tasty and not too sweet; I’ll have to check out their coffee options in future visits! A tad pricey(a plain 12 oz latte is $ 4) which kept this from being a 5 star review.

Good coffee, not the best. I ordered a 2% latte. It was more milky rather than a slightly bitter coffee taste. Ambience and location are good

I came here once and ordered an iced chai tea latte… it was essentially ice water with a hint of chai in it. Definitely the worst I’ve ever had… not sure about the coffee since I probably won’t be going back.

I wanted to mix it up with my coffee experience so I decided to roam Unilocal and I found Revolutions. Overall take on this place, it’s a quaint neighborhood coffee shop that serves good coffee and has excellent service. Rating breakdowns are as follows: Service: 5 Food/Beverage: 4 Atmosphere/Ambiance: 5 Service: The barista was really friendly when I walked in and even tried to make some small talk with me. Although I wasn’t in the most talkative of moods, he was very kind and it felt good to get such personable service. Food/Beverage: The coffee they feature here is from Herkimer Coffee. I gave this place a 4 simply because I didn’t do the usual thing I normally do and order just black coffee when trying new places(I had my sweet tooth game going today). That being said I have tried Herkimer Coffee and I do like their roasts and blends. I ordered a standard caramel latté and one thing I appreciate about the barista is that they use real caramel instead of the syrup. Personally I feel the later is much sweeter and can often overpower the espresso in the drink, but overall my drink was very good. They serve pastries and some breakfast sandwiches here as well. Atmosphere/Ambiance: Revolutions is tucked away from the main drive around Greenlake, so the noise isn’t an issue. Walking in, I was really impressed by the feel I got from this place. It is very open and it feels like a place I’d come to relax or get some work done. There was a French Club meeting here, so they were playing some French music but it wasn’t loud and I thought it was cool that you could have such a large gathering and still feel like your relaxing in your living room. TLDR: Excellent neighborhood coffee shop with a good amount of outlets, has excellent coffee, friendly staff, and the vibe of relaxing in your living room.

This surprisingly spacious hole in the wall has been here for at least a decade, yet still looks charmingly like it opened three months ago and hasn’t quite been fully set up. Paying Greenlake rent for that long is a damn achievement in itself, so you know he’s good at what he does. The dude behind the counter must be an owner-operator, because he has been here EVERYSINGLE time I’ve been there. He is cheerful and friendly and I — way up on the introvert scale — actively enjoy when he engages in banter. The pastries are the best in the hood. The coffee is good. The personality is what sets the olace apart. For the love of God, don’t give your coffee dollars to Starbucks; walk a half block, come to Revolutions, and support actual human enterprise.

This is a great place to study or read, which is one of the primary reasons why I patronize coffee places. There is a TON of space, plentiful outlets, and a variety of seating types — comfy couches, big tables, etc. The coffee is very good, the staff are very friendly.

A coffee place that’s solid all around. Good drinks, good prices, good location, good atmosphere, and good wifi. The one thing I didn’t like was the bathroom, which is a maze to get to. On top of that, there’s only one key, which I think is silly since there were 2 stalls in the women’s bathroom, and I presume there were also 2 in the men’s. Another customer and I waited and chatted outside the bathroom for 10 minutes before just giving up and leaving(we thought we heard someone inside when we first got there, but by the time we left it was slient). Making new friends is fun, but i would prefer to do it when I don’t have to go.

Good coffee, good people, quiet, and couches! I love coffee shops with a lot of cozy seating, because I like to spend long hours reading and working comfortably. Yes, they do allow dogs in here, and I love that. :D

I would give Revolutions a solid 3.5 stars! I visited this establishment on a early Sunday morning to study with a friend. I ordered an Americano and pumpkin bread. The Americano was great — the coffee was robust & rich! However, the pumpkin bread was far too sugary for my taste and had absolutely no pumpkin taste. I wondered if it was my coffee that was sugary, but I don’t put any sugar in it so that’s impossible. It literally tasted like I ate a block of sugar with my coffee. I’m definitely willing to give this local coffeeshop another chance! I love the ambiance — lot’s of great space to study and it doesn’t get too crowded. The staff is also very friendly! Visit this coffeeshop if you are in the area!

I love that this place it’s quite for reading, studying and I think you can focus more on your task. It’s shocking that the have AC on all the times, but love it; I get a bit hot after drinking a few cups of tea/coffee. I also appreciate the idea of bringing my pooch inside I almost feel like I’m at home relaxing on the sofa. Their pastries are pricey, but are way tastier than that other place in my opinion and worth every penny. Most importantly, their WIFI works properly; very spacious and accommodating for whatever you choose to do when you enter. I’d like to point out coffee refills and hot water for your tea and the genre of music depending on who’s behind the counter varies, but still relaxing I highly recommend Revolution Espresso & Bakery. Holla!

This is a regular place my running group hang out after Saturday morning run. The coffee shop is really accommednating and friendly to us every Saturday morning. Most of the time, we pretty much occupy half of the shop. Well, on the other hand, we bring in some good business :-) I am not really a coffee drinker, but I always get a large tea here. Of course, they have selections. Most of the time, I get peppermint. They also have really good hearty bread. I love the«end» piece for the burning part. They don’t mind if I pick through the window. Though, most of my runner friends order their egg sandwich for post run breakfast. I bet it must be good!
