The spicy tuna roll was the best I’ve ever tasted. Every Sushi place has one but this one was packed with flavor.

It CLOSED! Really liked this place. Consistent food and service. Unfortunately it closed this week due to high operational costs and not enough revenue. The sister restaurant, Wasabi bistro(belltown) is still open. I’m not sure if the menu is similar as I haven’t eaten there, yet! Redfin will be missed :(

I have to say, if I were staying in Seattle I’d go stay at the hotel next to this place. I like that there’s a hotel next to a sushi restaurant. It is a good tourist/novelty place. Although, given the amount of sushi places nearby, this isn’t a great sushi place for the average Seattle-lite. They have a long list of elaborate $ 9+ rolls. They don’t carry any maki roles or simpler roles. I have a pretty standard order that I try at every place I do: a maki role, a spicy tuna roll, an interesting roll, and salmon sashimi. I didn’t like missing out on the first leg of my usual order. The one plus of this sushi place is that they have really nice garlic edamame. Service here is good but seating is cramped. On a full night this could be too cramped for comfort.

Came here for bento box during lunch, left slightly disappointed. Even though the place was nearly empty, it took a few minutes to get seated because the staff were busy discussing plastic forks. Someone asked them to turn off the terrible top 40 music later on, and then they spent the rest of the time bitching about the customer request. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with these guys. The food was good! The chicken teriyaki tasted really good, and the nigiri was the best I’ve had in a bento box. However, the price seems a little high for what you get. In the end, its a meh for me

Service was excellent. I’ve been here twice and I haven’t encountered any problems with their service, based on the other reviews I think the management may have already made some changes on that part. The food was fresh and clean tasting, plating was elegant, and the portion was perfect. I also enjoyed the décor and the ambience and happy hour pricing for their boost was not bad at all for this really nice restaurant. I deffinitely recommend this place for happy hour if you’re loking for someplace not too routy yet classy and not overly too pricey.

Fun Place. Located in the MAX Hotel downtown. Sushi is Good, Miso is some of the Best I have had. Service is Very Good. Justin and Jordan are Fun and attentive Bartenders. Brett is Cool as Well. Though the Sushi is a Bit Pricey, It still is Really Good and of good Quality. Treat Yourself!

We dropped by here because it was close to where we were staying, but I probably should have read reviews first. Service was on the slow side, and this is definitely more of a fusion place with rolls rather than awesome sushi. Prices are also on the high side since it’s located in a hotel. I ordered the chef’s sushi dinner and though it was filling, I thought the quality was just okay. I wasn’t disappointed nor was I impressed. We were in a bit of a rush and it took a reallllllly long time for us to get the bill. Don’t you want our money??! We ended up piling out of the restaurant while one of us walked the bill over to pay ourselves.

The tempura is wonderful, although not cheap. The udon is also great, huge, but a few dollars too much. I can understand since it’s in a hotel. The servers are all top notch, performing like it was the Met or something. I will definitely be going back.

Just discovered this place a few days ago. I’ve been in twice this week and ordered the exact same meal: a lunch bento box with a Seattle roll and fried calamari tossed in roasted garlic ponzu sauce. This sauce is amazing… bright, acidic, salty all balanced well together. It also comes with rice, pickled vegetables, a beautiful salad topped with yummy fruit, and miso soup w/shiitake mushrooms. A steal for $ 14. I’ll definitely be back to try their happy hour specials.

Eat everything. Everything is delicious. I’ve been in a few times now, and have not been disappointed. Prices are a big on the higher end, but portions are enormous. Got that? Come with friends. Shareshare. The sakes are super delicious. The cocktails are, as well. Service is great and atmosphere is pleasing with a nice modern Asian vibe. We came in on a Wednesday and turns out it was happy hour all night. Awesome! I think between three of us, we ordered half the HH menu. Food was so tasty. I recommend the vegetable tempura and the chirashi bowl. Seriously, share the food. There’s so much. The somethingsomethinginJapanese fries are delicious, as well as the goat cheese, and the fried chicken bites things. I’ve also been told the sliders are good. Agedashi tofu went a little crazy on the onion stuff, but that’s okay. Miso soup was decent. Rolls were super yum. Yeah, I’m pretty sure you just can’t go wrong here.

Something seems to have changed here. Even though it had a fusion vibe, I was always happy with the artistic touches and the good quality of the nigiri, even if the prices were a bit high. Now, the nigiri is quite ordinary but the prices are still high. Happy hour still has some good deals that are worth coming in for. They tend to have good beer on tap, and $ 6 Ichi or Las Vegas rolls are good for people who are into the tempura cream cheese rolls.

The restaurant was very busy the night we decided to check it out. Made reservations in advance. Actually ended up showing up about an hour early as our pre-drink plans had fallen through. The staff was very helpful and offered for us to sit in the bar and drink while we wait for our reservation. Exactly what we planned since we were arriving very early. While waiting, the Bartender was very friendly and helpful. Why he was unable to get to us instantly, he was very good at communicating letting us know he would be with us very shortly. Our table was ready early and the staff quickly notified us that we were welcome to sit at anytime or wait till the reservation time as we were enjoying drinks in the bar. We ordered a variety of sushi and was truly amazed by all the food. Everything was very fresh and had lots of flavor and taste. We enjoyed our meal that we stuffed ourselves to the point we were unable to continue eating. Every staff member was very friendly and enjoyable from the start to the end. I will be sure to continue visiting Red Fin Sushi. If you are on the fence about trying this location, stop thinking and ENJOY!

Finally, a great sushi place in Seattle! It is within the Hotel Max, but you can also enter the restaurant without entering the hotel. It is a great place to eat to get away from a lot of the touristy spots. It is still within Downtown, but is a nice place to sit down and grab dinner with a friend or two. The miso soup comes with mushrooms. The chirashi zushi was so good. The fish was really fresh, and the cuts were perfect. The price was about $ 29, but compared to other meals I have had in this city, it was totally worth it. I would definitely come here again.

We went during Happy Hour and had a great spread at great prices! The food was delicious and there were great choices on the HH menu! The service was just okay(which is the reason for the number of stars). It took them over 10 minutes to even come over and say hello after we were seated. Later someone came over to apologize for that & gave us some sake— a great gesture. But our wait person, was still a bit absent during our meal. Again the food was really good at a great price(and at the lobby of our hotel).

Oooh, nigiri with buttery fresh salmon and yellowtail AND a bellini made with sake? What did I do to deserve this? Came here with a bunch of people who shall remain nameless during a time which shall remain undisclosed. We ordered a bunch of appetizers during happy hour and just shared. Of those apps were a spicy tuna roll, the Seattle roll(salmon, avocado, cucumber, tobiko), chicken satay with a coconut peanut dipping sauce, a crudite with a tofu schmear, shitake mushroom dumplings, and, of course, edamame beans as well as the aforementioned nigiris. And so what I liked best I mentioned first. The restaurant is part of the Hotel Max, so it’s dark and retro, refurbished-luxe looking. The service was acceptable. I’m not sure if I would come here for any other reason than for the reason I did, but I would recommend this as a quick, local fix.

I went to this place because it was the only sushi place I could find in Seattle that my fiancé(an asian food hater) could eat at too because they have a giant tasty burger! He says the burger was delicious, and I can attest that the fries they serve it with were A+. For sushi, I had the Uptown California Roll and the Buddha roll. They both sounded amazing on the menu, and although they were good, they weren’t amazing. I was really expecting amazing for the price and quality of the restaurant. We went with a friend who had the Sashimi Combo and he LOVED it, so they definitely have really great food — maybe I just picked the wrong rolls. They lost a star because my sushi could have been better and because their website doesn’t work so I had to keep calling to ask questions lol.

I’ve definitely had better sushi. True, the fish was fresh, but the cuts were indecent(just slabs of fish carelessly cut), the mixing of flavors in the omakase dish was just meaningless, and soy sauce and wasabi were not first quality either. Service was not that fast, and given the restaurant was almost empty, I found that quite discomforting.

I read a lot of mixed reviews for Red Fin but definitely wanted to try it out for myself. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Max over the weekend for our anniversary and ate dinner at Red Fin. We came during happy hour, were promptly seated and greeted by our server. He was super nice, attentive and gave lots of suggestions. I really like the fact that he was trying to get our orders in before happy hour ended and that right there made us very happy. We order some Asian Veggie tempura, buffalo chicken, the Barbie Roll and and an Uptown California. All the food was really good in my opinion, except the crab on one of the rolls. The waiter came by and after noticing that I had magically pulled all the crab out of my sushi and had it in a neat pile on the corner of my plate, offered to give it to me for half price because I didn’t like it. Nice! The food was good, the service was great and the restaurant itself is very hip and comfortable. I had a great time here on my anniversary!

We went to this place shortly before they opened up for dinner. We were greeted just inside the door by a hostess who advised us they would open in 10 minutes. We said it wouldn’t be a problem, and she walked away. I’m not entirely sure why she couldn’t have seated us at a comfy table before walking away and closing the velvet ropes behind her again. About 2 – 3 minutes later, she came back to us through some velvet ropes to find us in the waiting area and told us we could go sit at the bar. We started to follow her, and she closed the velvet ropes behind us and directed us about 10 feet to the right instead. Somebody *really* must like the cheap thrill of using velvet ropes. We were greeted at the bar by a young man who gave us a happy hour menu. The bar seemed to have quite a fine selection of liquors on hand, but I have to say I was somewhat surprised there weren’t any cocktail specialties listed on the happy hour menu. They only had wine, beer, and sake specials listed. In this instance, I did not order a drink since I am more of a cocktail kind of person, and I like tasting the creation of their mixologists. We ordered the Red Fin roll and the fuji apple roll(the item on the Seattle Foodie 100 list). I have to say that crab apple roll was simply superb! It is officially one of my favorite sushi rolls in this area. Much like my take on cocktails, I appreciate the creativity of the sushi chef to concoct a tasty sushi roll with unique ingredients. The decorations were nice, and the food was quite tasty.

Provided a surprisingly great & hearty breakfast: Black Forest Ham and Tillamook Aged White Cheddar, $ 13 Chicken and Sausage Hash, Red Potato, Sweet Potato, Red Bell, Kabocha Squash, Topped with Two Eggs Any Style, $ 13 Both items come w/toast of choice and the kind of fresh fruit you find next to all your meals when you visit Hawaii. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the country potatoes were pan fried with a light touch. I throughly enjoyed the unique take on hash w/squash & julienned veggies. Felt so healthy with all the colorful antioxidants. Check out the green tea, it’s the Matcha variety and unlimited!

Walking into Red Fin, my first thoughts were«Wow, this is a super cute bar». But then having to struggle my way through the crowds to get to my friend, I soon became annoyed. I felt like the entire time I was there I was stepping on people’s toes, bumping into people, and that no matter what I did I seemed to be jostling into someone or them jostling into me. When anyone at our table moved, so did the entire table along with our beers & sakes! I did think the food was sooo yummy and tried various appetizers which all seemed scrumptious. However, later on I got an upset stomach from something I ate. The staff seemed very nice, and I liked the bathrooms which have portraits of some people, although we were trying to figure out who they were. One of them was«The girl from Auburn». We never did figure out who exactly the girl from Auburn is/was. Is she someone famous or just a random girl?
