Okay, so first of all? Not a corner. It’s a kiosk against the middle of a wall. Sure, the booth has two corners, but I don’t really know which one is THE potato corner. A friend told me about this place and made it sound like a magical Christmasland where potato delights of all types could be found. I was thinking poutine, latkes, gnocchi, papas bravas. Scalloped potatoes! Mashed potatoes! Twice-baked potatoes! Instead, I discover they have four different fried potato shapes and they will shake it with a variety of powdered coatings, so they basically make flavored potato chips but with, like, fries. If you’re going to have a potato themed eatery there is so much you can do. So much! Sure, I had high high hopes, but this place just makes glorified potato Doritos. On the bright side, their chili cheese fries made me crave a chili cheese dog, which I guess is really Sonic’s fault. Grr. Glorified potato Doritos.

For a stand«specializing» in fries, they use a shitty, heavily processed, disgusting(«vegetable») oil to do so. What happened to the days when we had fries cooked in BEEFTALLOW? When fries actually tasted somewhat decent? What the hell has happened to this fucked-up world? It is difficult to find these delicious and healthier fries anymore. It is really sad and fucking pathetic. Potato Corner is just another crappy chain using an industrialized sewer oil to cook their crappy fries in.

Great concept but terrible service. I absolutely LOVE French fries so i thought why not try this out. My first time hear so i am not familiar with the menu so i asked her to give me a second to check everything out. She just grew impatient with me then on. So i just ordered 4 small fries of 4 different flavors. Parmesean cheese with garlic, barbecue, sour cream, and cheddar. All were good. They didn’t pack my fries to go like had asked when i was ordering so when i asked for to go bags she gave me a look and said these people, i am just ready to go. Poor customer service

The fries are good, I got garlic waffle fries and sour cream and onion curly fries. Covered in powder but not too overly salty so that was good. It did take a while for our order to be cooked I guess because 3 other customers behind us got their food before ours. But I could tell that some of the employees were new and really confused about what they were doing. First they like a group of random girls totally cut me and my mom and didn’t even care, second we told them twice that we wanted to upgrade our order to get the free drink and then they forgot the drink. We politely asked for the drink and they gave us the wrong flavor lol but honestly we waited long enough and didn’t even bother to ask them to fix it so we left.

I had a bad experience here back in december, but since then I have seen a huge improvement! It’s a little bit faster, everyone is so nice, and my order is always correct. I am changing my review because you guys deserve it, thank you!

I like that you get to choose what kind of seasoning you want on your fries or your chicken. They always make it fresh. So the wait can be a bit long and the lines tend to get long, but it’s well worth it. However make sure you check your food thoroughly because they tend to mess up the order 4⁄5 times. Either sauces are missing, chickens aren’t enough, or sodas are only filled up to 4⁄5th of the cup. They do charge for dipping sauces so it is annoying when you walk away to see that you didn’t get the sauces you payed for. If customer service was better, the wings were bigger, and there were more tables and chairs this place would get 5 stars.

I will definitely pass on this place next time. It was my first time there and I was waiting to order, 3 kids were working and all 3 had made eye contact with me but didn’t say anything. Finally I asked if I could order and one of the kids said I had to order at the other end, so I head two feet away and was told to hold on while the young kid went through his wallet to put in his own order(I saw him grab a basket after my order)…once I placed my order for the original with sour cream I head back to my hubby and kids to wait… not to long after I’m given waffle sweet potato fries with sour cream… I was so turned off from the kids I didn’t even say anything to them. Fries were ok… It is just powdered sour cream on top of fries after all. Although they are 1000 times better then French fry heaven which has already closed down.

Amazing potatoes they got. The options are more than enough. I got the Giga size original fries with sour cream & onion($ 5.99). ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS! You can order different type of potatoes from original fries, curly fries, tater tots, crisscut fries, sweet potato to many flavors like sour cream & onion, chili bbq, bbq, cinnamon sugar, garlic parmaesian and cheddar. I believe getting the giga size(biggest size) is worth it, compared to their smallest size(jumbo, which is not jumbo at all) or mega size(medium) because both jumbo & mega size are just too small. There’s a huge gap from their mega size to giga. Go giga!

I came for the first time last weekend and got their tater tots with sour cream & onion seasoning. Oh my gosh they were DELICIOUS. The tots were nice and crispy, way better than Taco Bell’s lol and the seasoning wasn’t too salty for me. I guess you can mix your seasonings though. I was recommended to try the sour cream & onion mixed with BBQ seasonings so I will try that next! In fact I want and will try their whole menu hahaha. My review is 4 stars and not 5 because I had to wait like 15 – 20 minutes for my tots :/

After some time, I decided to purchase from them again. Mostly because I work right around the corner from them and need a quick bite to eat. I also have a co-worker who enjoys eating there and has said that shes pretty familiar with some of the people so I thought why not. I felt the need to update my review so that I could share my most recent experience compared to my last. I can tell that after a few months, there has been improvements. The food is handled safely(the last time, maybe I just caught an employee at a bad time, who wasn’t really seeing what she was doing), the workers are friendly and outgoing(they can actually hold a conversation which is nice), I can see that one of the male supervisors really cares about his job and lastly, the food is always made fresh to order. Who doesn’t want hot steamy food fresh out of the oven? I really appreciate my last visit and give them a thumbs up!

For all you people who have JUST discovered this place in Southcenter Mall, know that this is based from the Philippines– meaning everything on the menu will either be extremely high in flavor or loaded with massive amounts of carbs and calories. When I used to live in the Philippines or when I go home to visit my siblings and I always look forward to buying the extra large size of these delicious fries. In the Philippines, the only offer the normal fries and don’t have sweet potato or curly fries so I feel as if they recently added this to their menu here in America. You can pick from which size you want(beginning from really small to really big), keep in mind that the larger sizes are LITERALLY big, so don’t worry about not having enough to devour into because the portions are huge. The best and most popular flavor to order is the BBQ. You are able to mix your flavors together if you want to mix it up. If you want a quick and savory snack if you’re at Southcenter then I suggest coming here!

«Hang on,» the cashier says to me while looking at her phone and responding to text messages. She finishes her personal conversations within a few minutes and gleefully welcomes me to Potato Corner… as if she hadn’t already completely and miserably failed at customer service. That little girl is quite bold — I could never be that rude to someone who wants to give me money! We went with the garlic parm tots and cheddar curly fries, both of which were made fresh to order. I was under the impression that this is fast food, but it’s not(wait time was about 20 min), it just tastes that way. I really didn’t care for the cheddar curly fries. There was way too much powder and it just left me with an artificial feeling complete with a sodium overload. The tots were a lot better, but neither one can hold up to their claim of «world’s best flavored flavored french fries.» If it weren’t for the wait time and the terrible customer service I’d consider coming back sometime, but I’m not counting on it.

First time here and the cashier suggested the loopy fries to us! We were able to sample basically all the flavors before committing to the cheddar and garlic & parmesan. I’ll definitely come here again!

I had had my eye on Potato Corner for at least five years when I was still in California. I never made it to one and was excited to see that one had opened in Southcenter. I love sour cream and onion so we got the mega sized(sizes sound crazy huge but they’re not) sour cream and onion tater tots. The cashier recommended getting BBQ as well(they can mix flavors) so we did. WOW, it was DELICIOUS! The flavors were so powerful and the combination went really well together. The flavor was like Lay’s sour cream and onion plus mesquite BBQ put together but magnified several times. The tater tots had a crispy exterior. I’m DEFINITELY coming back whenever I’m in the area.

Luckily Potato Corner is 32 miles from me because I would be a frequent visitor of this place and the employees and I would be on a first name basis by the end of the week.

What the hell?! That was my first thought when I started to see reviews for this place called Potato Corner. My fiancé and I were buying a new TV nearby at a store and felt hungry for lunch. I told him I’d found this bizarrely named business on Unilocal called Potato Corner and his response was, «Done.» I mean, all you can glean from a name like that is that the menu is full of potato based items. It sounded weird and interesting and fun. It’s mostly a spot to get french fries that are fried to order and then tossed in a crazy salty mix of one of a dozen flavors. Chili, cinnamon sugar, BBQ, sour cream and onion, etc. But the fries come in varieties too. You can get curly fries, french fries, crosscut, sweet potato, and tater tots. If you don’t want fries you can opt for a baked potato. And I think that about covers it. In fact, it’s just a kiosk at the mall and isn’t an actual storefront. It’s more of a «buy a bucket of hot fries and shop» kind of deal. So we got BBQ fries that tasted exactly like BBQ potato chips and we got box of chili cheese curly fries. These were actually chili cheese and not just flavored salts/toppings. The food was good but it’s definitely the kind of food that you don’t want to finish and somehow even if you don’t you’ll still regret it a bit. It’s extremely unhealthy and everything is yellow and orange. No veggies, nothing fresh and nothing bright or light and healthy. Like froyo spots you should and could actually be contented by ordering the smallest size batch but they do offer bigger sizes as well. We split both of these to share and ordered both in the smallest portions and it was still too much. Glad to have tried it though! Definitely not worth a trip to Tukwila for but if you’re in the area it’s fun to try once.

It’s aight. I think the concept is nice to have at southcenter especially after French fry heaven closed down; who doesn’t love potatoes?! We need a novel kiosk that doesn’t sell pretzels, namsayin? They offer lots of different shapes; tater tots, regular fries, waffle fries, etc. they have different flavors as well, such as cheddar, SC/onion, BBQ, etc. I thought the service was great! The man was very helpful and even offered me 3 samples on tater tots when I told him I was stuck between two seasonings(one cheddar sample, one SC/O, and one mixed with both powders). I didn’t even have to ask for samples. When businesses OFFER samples, you know they care about their business and they know they have good enough product to take that bet with the customers. The woman who rung me up had a laid back and chill personality but I thought she was friendly and nice. The man who offered samples also let me know how long it would take for my fries to come out, and he bid me farewell using my first name, which I always find is a nice touch when it comes to how workers they treat their customers. My name is hard to say, and he said it right too LOL one point for them. As for the food, I thought the tater tots were good, but I decided on the cheddar regular fries. The smallest size was pretty generous! I didn’t even finish it. Taste and quality wise? Eeeeehhhhhhhhhh so-so. I’m not big on artificial foods. I like my stuff all natural, but for what you pay here it’s understandable that you get frozen fries with seasoning. If you’re expecting gourmet fries then go to five guys down the block or something. You don’t walk into a McDonald’s and ask them to cut your potatoes in front of your eyes, you know what I mean? My bill was under $ 4 after tax, it was a good size(way more generous than the SC retired French Fry Heaven), it was«aight» quality. Pretty standard for any kiosk at the mall. My fries got soggy fast though, is that normal? I don’t mind this place. I actually was expecting to write a bad review because I didn’t know what to expect, but after experiencing it for myself, I think they deserve a 3, just because I liked their service a lot. I can tell they care about their business, and the food is decent. It’s not the kind of food for me, personally, but I can see how other may love it as a quick junk food snack when walking around the mall.

I love potatoes! Wait, who doesn’t? After a couple long months of waiting, they finally opened. I’ve been going there pretty much everyday, but I have been giving them chances to better themselves since it is still relatively new. Today was the day everything fell together. Due to the fact that I’ve been going there every day, I was a little disappointed that no body remember me after my 3rd or 4th day. But there was this newer girl that just started working there and today she remembered me and remember what I like. Thats amazing customer service. If you buy potato product with seasoning, is usually really fast. But if you ordered things like baked potatoes or chicken wings, it does take longer. And«jojo chips» has nothing to do with jojos, instead they are just chips, freshly warm, just out of the oven potato chips. Yummmmm

I was soooo excited to find out that Potato Corner was gonna open here in WA. I’m originally from California and I love my cheddar fries! I live in Everett(40 mins up north) to get fries! and honestly, i love them! Sure there are ups and downs with the employees, but lemme tell you, for just opening 2 weeks ago, i give them props for making sure every single customer was happy! the cashier lets you know that i can sample any other flavors, and have them on any type of fries ! how awesomeeee!(: The cookers make sure to cook your fries right away so you dont have to wait so long. I’ve worked in the food industry and its not easy, but they manage !(: i’m definitely hoping that they open one closer to where i live though! so if you’re reading this, come by and try some flavors ! it’ll change your mind about fries forever(: I’m in love with their fries, given i’m filipino. haha! Definitely going to recommend to my friends!

I’m going to re-do this review because apparently sour ass people are getting butt hurt over my previous review and couldn’t handle the criticism. I’ll dial it down a notch for ya. I’m an extremely amiable person when it comes to others making mistakes while on the job. I understand that employees may have those«woken up on the wrong side of the bed» kind of days. I also understand that employees just sometimes forget what to do. Trust me, I’ve been working with clients since I was 15 from being a CNA to being in the food industry. I’m 24. First off, it is of importance to express prudence by using gloves especially when you are in the food industry. For those naïve people that are saying«Oh they’re a new business — people make mistakes». S-H-A-M-E ONYOU! It takes ONE tiny bacterial microbe to harm or even kill a person. When I came to eat here at Potato Corner, I saw an employee handle my food with her bare hands. I was absolutely mortified. This just represents the lack of directive shown between its employees and management. Secondly, the woman who rang me up was indeed very friendly & explained the various items on their menu. However, when I asked«What is the most popular flavor?» She replied back with«Well Asians like so and so…» which in effect, comprehensively speaking, can come off as offensive to others. Thirdly, the food wasn’t great at all. I ordered the kid’s meal which consisted of jumbo sized fries, a drink and 2 chicken tenders that totaled up to $ 5.60 — which is a fair price. Perhaps I came at a wrong time? The fries didn’t taste as fresh because it tasted as if it has been basking under the heating lamp for a long period of time. The chicken was exceedingly dry & the consistency was like rubber when I bit in to it. Overall, this meal had encompassed the amount of seasoning that would cause a person to be diagnosed with osteoporosis through time. Fourthly, I found two hairs in my food. One was in my ranch sauce and the other at the bottom of the box. This part is pretty much self explanatory. Furthermore and lastly, Potato Corner gave me the shits and my stomach ached all night. When I think of giving a 5 star rating, I think of ANY business that goes above and beyond providing exceptional service regardless if it is a McDonalds or a top of the line deluxe hotel. I think of food so mother fucking damn delicious that you would wish yourself to a genie to be morphed in to that kind of food so you can just stare at yourself in the mirror all day. Potato Corner did not give me that. I originally gave Potato Corner a 2 star rating but I’m going to go ahead and give it a 1 star now because of what I truly experienced. I wouldn’t mind coming back and giving them another chance. It’s potatoes for God’s sake! Hopefully, I get a better experience next time. In turn — I will do an updated review but for now this is what it is. PS: I don’t care if the business gives out free samples. That’s pretty shortsighted to jump to the conclusion that just because businesses give out free things that they will provide customers with the best experience ever. If I’m buying from you and am giving you MY money you better make my order right.
