It is ok for hospital cafeteria food. It is overpriced just as you would expect. They have a pizza station that is open until 8pm and it is not half bad.

There is a lot of variety here, unless you are gluten free then a little less but you can find a lot of vegetarian options as well as burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, bagels, and tons of juices, sides, and sweets. Everything tastes mediocre but edible. The food is overpriced but not much more than you would pay and the quantity of the food is large. The staff is friendly enough and there is a ton of seating so you can be sure to find room for your group, just maybe go a little before noon when it really picks up. They take cards, cash, husky cards, and also have an ATM with a slew of vending machines next to it if you just need to grab a snack.

The Plaza Café is the main hospital cafeteria located on the 1st floor of the University of Washington Medical Center next to the department of Radiation Oncology. The selection is about par for a hospital cafeteria. For breakfast, their menu rotates but they consistently have oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and fruit. For example, today morning I had a tofu-egg-veggie-scramble, but yesterday they offered a chorizo scramble instead. You can get pancakes, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and muffins until around 10:30AM when it starts transitioning to lunch. Starting at 11AM, their lunch menu increases substantially with burgers, banh-mi sandwiches(get the pork for taste, tofu for health), pizza slices, and other common delicious things. As expected, there are plenty of different fountain and bottled drinks. I wish they had a smoothie station or maybe a dedicated Mexican food station, but it’s not a huge drawback by any means. The Food: The chorizo breakfast scramble with a tortilla — Loved it The tofu breakfast scramble with veggie sausage — Loved it but I wish they gave me a tortilla The southwestern prepackaged salad containing lettuce, black beans, tortilla chips, and some sliced veggies — OK Pork banh-mi vietnamese sandwich — Loved it but your mouth will be scratched up oh-so-slightly by the hard crust of the bread Grilled chicken burger — OK Cole slaw — Thumbs down Pricing: Pricing is fair to good with breakfast items being around $ 4 per entrée, and lunch items being around $ 6 – 9 per entrée. It’s definitely a better value that some places I’ve been. Seating is plentiful, and generally quite clean. Overall, this is a well run hospital cafeteria, perfect for the busy medical professional to grab a quick bite to go. For those times that you may have a few hours to spare, I would highly recommend going outside the hospital to try the many amazing restaurants Seattle offers.

Plaza café is an ok place to eat in the hospital area. It has similar prices to anywhere else around campus. It’s convenient for employees and students that have a husky card. I like their chicken taco salads. They didn’t have the healthiest options but there is some to choose from.

The food here is ok but overpriced just like you’d expect in a hospital. I was disappointed when they changed their French Fry recipe. They were so good, but now they replaced then with waffle fries(not a fan). Go here in a pinch, but don’t make it a habit.

They have made some recent renovations for the better, but the selection remains fairly one note and pricey. Breakfast is usually a highlife, and the chefs like to concoct feature scrambles on most mornings which are usually pretty tasty. they also now have a variety of breakfast stromboli options which are a combo of eggs, meat and veggies wrapped in a parmesean dough, they are tasty and very filling for less than $ 5. The new sandwich station is the best deal/most healthy option, and the Vietnamese Bahn mi sandwiches with fresh veggies and jalapeños hit the spot. They still have the tried and true grill/fried food station, a selection of pre packaged salads and sandwiches, and the hot line with 3 – 4 daily entrees and soups to fall back on. I wouldn’t come to the hospital specifically for the food, but if your here, it’s not too bad, just overpriced.

Hospital food. Overpriced, not the healthiest selection. Very friendly staff though and well organized. Sometimes the entrees are good. OK if you work nearby and need something quick, but will make you grow to hate eating if you eat there frequently enough.
