Awesome place to let the kids expend some energy… okay okay, the adults too. Stumptown coffee and free wi-fi if you need to get some work done, or beer and wine if you don’t. Food is decent, but a tad pricey; if it’s an issue, sneak some snacks in the diaper bag.

They confused me. First day came there they told me that was no charge for baby under 1. Second day came there they told me they supposed to charge 5.25 $ something each baby. :l i loved the place since it close to my house and my baby can have some socialize but it is really uncomfortable when you dont know how much you are expected to pay.

Omg this place is my best friend. Where else can I bring my high energy 4 year old son and let him play like a jungle animal for 5 hours and not have to worry about him? Worried your kid won’t have friends to play with there? Don’t be! This place is always poppin’ and my son finds kids to play with the minute he takes his shoes off. I’m not kidding, my son will stay here for 5 hours on end, leaving me in the couch area to watch football on their tv’s and drink a glass of wine. Yep, you heard it, THEYSERVEBEERANDWINE(and a whole menu of great items). Mom time. Wine. Tv. Kid occupied playing for 5 hours. Bliss. The only downside is you can’t bring in outside snacks, and while they have snacks to purchase, they are super spendy. Like $ 2.50 for a tiny vending machine size of Goldfish crackers. So, in other words, they’ve got movie theater prices.

Came for niece’s birthday party. I’m thinking sports bar for parents. Seahawks game was on, and the cavernous ceilings and concrete walls did not help with the acoustics, and it was loud. The pizza tasted off, and the place just seemed dingy and unkempt. Not a big fan of letting kids run in a play area where adults can just come in as long as they take their shoes off, and there’s no clear line of sight to all the nooks and crannies(of said play area). Kids did have fun, and the party host was attentive and mostly on point.

Never coming here again — Playdate Café please do better this was disappointing. We went recently with the knowledge ahead of time that the concept was quite appealing and that our child having been in similar place spaces out of state would love this space. First off the concept is amazing for both the play area and the café but everything falls short on the execution. The play space is very poorly lit and in some areas quite dark especially around the toddler area. This makes is really uncomfortable for some kids and also makes it hard to observe where your kids are even if you are close by. The play space also is taking up quite a small area of the venue and its really a tight fit and very crowded in there due to that lack of spaciousness that kids really need. In fact if you have to get in there to recover a hurt child then its going to be tough and I am a pretty petite person. If you have a toddler you have to stay in really close proximity because they are very likely to get hurt unintentionally but some very excited kids. The equipment and all the structures need maintenance and repair and are in very poor shape. Now lets talk about the café and the food. Oh my. that food may look healthy or seem healthy but its quite a disaster. Please don’t be fooled by this you are not getting a meal in this place they don’t have cooks they have people who heat up and assemble things from frozen bags and sometimes will serve the food cold and still frozen. The one extra star I have on here is because they have wine and beer and well you’ll need it. By all means if you have a 6+ year old and need somewhere to go to have them super occupied and out of your hair to give you a couple of hours to do some work on your laptop or device then this place might be totally worth it for you.

This place was wonderfully entertaining for my 2 and 5 year olds. We were there almost 3 hours and they were having a fantastic time right up until the end. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the price. For entry and lunch, I spent close to $ 50 on the three of us(that’s without beverages). That’s high in my opinion.

15 $ 5yrs+ /8 $ 2−4yrs So this place is great for indoor play when it’s rainy or cold. Everyone who works there is nice. Lounge café for adults. But you aren’t allowed to bring outside food or drinks. I guess they make more profit from the café I should say. I loved everything but here are a few suggestions. I would recommend there be a better area for storing you shoes, bags and personals. I think that balls are the number thing the kids love to play with going to play area. They have this area where you can launch soft stress balls at each other as if it was war. My son loved it. But it’s a safety hazard depending how tough your little one or anyone’s lil ones can take a hit. There is an area for infants only. Which I enjoyed but I wish they had a mini size ball pit. Because the infant/toddlers were drawn to the ball section and seemed to get sad and grouchy when balls started to fly and they couldn’t join in The maze and structure is awesome. But many places are hard to see your kid and even get to them if they need help. I just yelled for my son lol I’m sure if you needed help a worker would be glad to assist you. They keep the place wipes down and also thr bathroom was on point. I always carry lysol spray, clorox wipes and also anything the bacterial wipes related. It’s easy enough to disinfect areas to use considering the number of ppl who use thr bathroom. But they were clean none the less. I witness an employee changing out thr trash, restocking soap dispensers and wiping thr floor down during 4hrs. They offer party rooms idk thr prices but call if you want info on it They offer beer :) and wine hehe Bring a lock u can lock ur stuff up in one of those lockers near the restroom. But I think everyone should have a ticket to drop off there belongings because it easily can be taken. Cameras everywhere Parking is tough but I belive most family’s walk within the area If you like yoga and crossfire I believe there are places to join in 2 blocks down Okay this is why my 1 star is missing. I enjoyed the delicious food! But it doesn’t show any of the price when ordering. Most family’s are on a budget. For parents who have 1 kid. The menu is a typical and ideal for them. But for parent with more 2 and up. It gets a little pricey. So by the end of it we payed 73 $ for 4 hrs of hanging out there. Kids play charge included. Free water! I think that when your ordering. Your hungry and the kids are hungry from all the play you pretty much just order what appeals to you. Without having a price o n the board it makes it hard. Not sure if is on the small menus thar you can read didn’t check. Picture of receipt is above. Not bad but didn’t really fill our family up I would recommend eating and than going and if yo u decide to purchase a beverage and snacks it would be alright Fun place. Will be coming here but making a few adjustment to our appetite before entering :)

Keep meaning to review this place, I LOVE it! I only wish it was closer to where we live as we would be here every week!!! Humongous okay area for the kids with only one exit in and out. They also have a smaller section for little ones(age 1 – 4 ish) although my three year old has loved playing in the big kid area since he was about two. They have a lot of yummy snacks, with plenty of healthy options. There’s usually at least one or two beers on tap that I would like as well as a few wine choices. The place is meant for kids to have a blast but they take care of the parents too :-) both my older child(10) and the little one(3) have a blast here and are ready to conk out from exhaustion, which lets all admit it is the main goal of playgrounds !!! The air conditioning is nice in the summer, they seem to also keep the temperature right in the winter. There’s plenty of seats many of which are very close to the play area so you can keep an eye on your little ones. It’s not at all stressful if you come during the week, the weekends can be a little crazy though ;-) The staff is super friendly, they’re all good with the kids and seem upbeat. I’ve never been here and thought the employees didn’t enjoy their job which is pretty amazing for a kid zoo !

Really fun place for kids — not so much for parents. –Everything is over-priced. –I’m not comfortable allowing my kids to run around a dimly lit play area(that any adult is also allowed to wander into) where I can’t see them all times. –Do NOT let your kid play laser tag here! The kids have a blast, but they swap and share Rambo-like headlamps… which is hilarious until 3 weeks later when you have to call Lice Knowing You. Cool concept, fun for the little guys, but too stressful for me as a parent. I won’t be back.

This review is for the birthday party package The facilities itself is great… Very fun for both kids and adults, we had kids as young as 7 months and old as 5 and everyone in our party raved about how much fun they had. My main issue was the price of food(again)… The pizza here is good, but not great and for 20 – 25.00 a pie(for large) the price of a party package room can definitely add up. We paid close to 500.00 for 8 kids(although we could have invited 10 for the room) 6 pizzas, 2 chicken wing platters and 2 drinks… I don’t know I just have mixed thoughts about this place… It’s a super fun place so I’d say if you have the money go… But if you’re frugal like me I’d rather go elsewhere that allows outside food and is just as much fun… All in all I can’t hate on this place so I’m giving them a 4⁄5.

If you’ve got kids or nieces and nephews, this is a great place for them to burn off some energy on a rainy or even sunny day. The one thing that you can probably count on is that THEY will enjoy their time there. I can say from the adult side, there’s food and beer and the service does fairly well to keep up with the swarms of people that come to the Play date.

I’ve come here several times over the years but no more. I came on a holiday week and was informed that I’d be charged an additional $ 5 per child which brought the total cost for my three to $ 50! Add to that the $ 10 I paid for parking and our day has started at $ 60 before any food and drink. That’s crazy! There are so many better places in Seattle for a lot less. The play area is fun but not worth it in my mind. Also, they offer healthy food options but overpriced and I expected better from the prices I was paying. Soggy cucumbers on our hummus and vegetable plate — come on!

I love having the option of an indoor area for my toddling 14 month old. But the 0 – 3 kid area is seriously lacking. It’s dark, and kind of boring other than the slide. Some mirrors or colorful lights would add a lot to this area. Another thing, I wouldn’t come here for the food — it’s seriously lacking. We got sandwiches and after the first bite I had serious buyer’s remorse. Pretty bad.

Pros and Cons: — After several visits here, we start to see the wear and tear of the facility. — Food always take a long time, and I wish they’d post the prices on the wall, not just on the laminated menus. + Staff do a decent job putting up with screaming kids and some that just want to break every safety rule.(this explains the turnover!) + Several healthy snacks available, much better than McD! + It’s indoor! This place wears them out and guaranteed to sleep well for the night! Conclusion: If your child is old enough to defend him/herself, then by all means, come and sit and enjoy the tv and wine/beer while the little ones run wild. Don’t be surprised by some bumps and tears at some point.

There is no staff on duty to supervise children. Yes, there is staff PRESENT but not in any way accountable for the safety of kids at play. I watched children being repeatedly kicked, punched, pushed & even one child being dragged across the floor by his arm with his stomach bare on the ground before a friend and I stopped him though staff was looking on. Either make a requirement that parents have to keep their children visible or have staff be accountable. My son was punched in the neck, bullied & taunted by a group of kids in the ball area and shoved backwards down a slide. This is unacceptable. We will not be back until this problem is fixed. I only heard a staff member reprimand a child when they began throwing balls into THEIR face repeatedly. Even then, he yelled at the child to leave the area and never caught back up with him.

We’ve been going to playdate for about a year now and it’s a great place to get some energy out for the kids. Our boys are 18 months and 3 years old, and they love it. Pricing is fair for the value. Food is pretty good and again, good value. A big plus is TV’s for catching some football, coffee, beers, wine… You could basically stay the entire day here and everyone in the family would be happy.

I have been coming here for a little while now and it continually appears to be running down hill with every visit. The children have fun with themselves, although they have gotten hurt on a few occasions because there it little to staffing. When I have inquired about the safety factor, I was directed to a girl who said she was the«owner». She said that it wasn’t very busy and that they don’t need to have people over there on slow days. They always appear to be overwhelmed and understaffed. I have seen at least three different waves of employees since I have started coming. I wonder why they are unable to keep employees… The worst part was, was that they place was mostly full, with crazy lines at the registers. I also talked to other employees, casually, and they have said that the play area is continuously dirty and gets neglected, because they don’t have enough people to clean it. Other draw backs on this place is that there is little to no parking. Not a huge deal, with it being in SLU, I expect as much, it just sucks for business. The food is overpriced. My child has a few allergies and I asked what kind of pizza crust they use. The lady at the counter said they use Freschetta pizza. You mean the kind I can buy at Safeway for $ 5.00? How can they justify selling it for $ 25.00? Also, the wifi is a joke. I asked it they had wifi and the guy said yes, pointed to a slip of paper and then walked away. I deduced the network name and password from the tiny slip of paper taped to the register and then still had difficulties getting in. I inquired again and the guy rolled his eyes and said it doesn’t work sometimes. If you don’t have reliable wifi, then don’t advertise it. I will say that I will not be back. This experience had been a horrible one. Many things inside the play area were broken and I won’t pay $ 10.00 for a broken facility. It was ridiculous.

Here’s the deal. The play area is awesome sauce. Super fast slides. A whole room full of balls and ball cannons and a ball fountain. An interactive floor with games. Awesome climbing tubes and obstacles. There’s even a separate section for 3 and under if they feel a little overwhelmed by the big kids running around on the other side. Plus, it’s only $ 5 admission for the little ones during the week. Well worth even an hour or so of quality play on a rainy day. Cons: Very limited street parking. No outside food or drink allowed(I sometimes watch kids with severe allergies and we can’t bring in «safe» snacks). The café is overpriced and service is slow. I waited 15 minutes for my hummus plate, which was literally just some veggies on a plate with some little cups of hummus. And nothing that really needed to be cut: snow peas, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes. There may have been cucumber slices, but I don’t remember that well. There was a small amount of pita bread, but that shouldn’t have taken 15 minutes to round up. It was not crowded at all that day and I was the only one to have ordered food at that time.

Avoid on busy days. I brought my 4 year old nephew here to play, which was a total fail because he was overwhelmed with the amount of kids and didn’t step into the arena. Instead we sat and ate some pizza. When we were leaving, we were charged for time that he didn’t play and on top of that, they mistook me for some other poor lady and charged her card. I don’t even know how since our names are totally different, I’m supposing she was probably the only other asian? I only caught it when signing the final slip. I’m not all too sure if they refunded the money back because the cashier just stood around dumbfounded by his mistake. I just paid for mine and left. Overpriced and food takes forever to come out. I don’t even know how the holding cc or pricing of «playing time» even works since it feels like the time I paid for was contingent on their slow service. Clusterfuck.
