Despite living in Seattle for several years I’d never been to Patty’s until last week. Feeling adventurous I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did! It was fairly busy for a weekday morning but we got a table almost immediately. Coffee came out quickly which is nice if your a caffeine fiend like myself. The menu had a ton of great choices which made deciding a little tricky(total luxury problem). I ended up getting one of the weekly specials Banana Bread Fosters and a side of Sausage Gravy and Biscuits while my Girlfriend got the Bavarian Breakfast from the main menu. The Banana Bread Fosters was delicious, especially with the fresh cream on top, obviously not a «super healthy» choice but it was a nice indulgence. The biscuits and gravy were AMAZING, almost felt like I was back home on the farm, and the portions were HUGE especially considering that this was technically a «side». The Bavarian Breakfast was also good(I stole a few bites), personally my favorite part was the Bratwurst. The«O’Brien Potatoes» were also quite good although I haven’t had their hash-browns so I can’t say how the two compare. I saw some of the other reviews mentioned poor service, I can’t speak to that but, I will say that I thought it was just fine, certainly better than average in Seattle. Also think it’s worth noting that unlike many of the other breakfast spots in Seattle Patty’s serves beer/wine so you can get a Mimosa if your so inclined(didn’t try them myself). All in all I really enjoyed my experience here, can’t wait to come back and try some of the other options.

Only reason they got a star is due to the quick seating and water. That was fine. The waitress never came to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Then, about 5 minutes after we were seated, a couple behind us was seated. Waitress went to them within a minute to get them drinks, ignoring us the entire time. Then she continued to ignore us and walked away while the other couple decided on what to order. She came back a few minutes later and took their order while holding up a finger basically saying«wait since I’m helping other customers». The couple Seated after got their order in and she left again without helping us. We walked out. I do not recommend this location as we always get bad service, but this was the worst.

Don’t go to the Northgate location!!! Service is exceedingly poor. Even though we were seated first and we’re ready to order, the waitress took the order of the large table next to us first… Which meant that our food took a longer time. Additionally the waitress got the order wrong. Instead of Swedish pancakes she brought out the French toast. The Swedish pancakes are supposed to come with Devonshire cream, and came with whip cream. I had to ask the waitress for butter and syrup. When we checked out, I noted that I wasn’t looking for a discount as the food was good, but the service was very poor and the kitchen staff sent whipped cream and not Devonshire cream out with the pancakes, I was told that ‘oh well she was busy’. When a customer complains about service and is not looking for a discount, they would at least appreciate knowing that their feedback is taken seriously. This is such a stark comparison to the Holman location where the service is ALWAYS kind and helpful and that location is just as busy. I will NOT recommend the Northgate location and will NOT be returning.

Their menu seems to have EVERYTHING. But everything also seems to come with a sheen of grease, including the air inside the restaurant. This is not to say that this is BAD… it’s just… well, your call.

Very rude and disrespectful hostess! I’ve never felt so embarrassed in my life. To walk into an establishment and immediately be greeted with hostility just for asking about specials or what’s the dish of the day is horrific. I will never return to this place.

I find negative Unilocal reviews passive aggressive and NEVER thought I’d be posting one, but I feel like I have to. I feel sick, not because of the food, but because I was watching a server nightmare in progress. There were 2 tables when we first got here at about 12:30. The manager lady, Chris, was literally sitting, eating lunch, watching as our server, Jamie, slowly got sat 12 plus tables. She didn’t lift a finger to help and was fully aware of how busy the restaurant was. Our poor server! She was running around, scrambling to do her job. The only help she had was a gal(cashier ?) who might as well have been eating with the manager! I’m appalled. My experience wasn’t one of it just being an «off» day. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over twenty years. I’ve been a server and am now in management. I understand how things work. I’ve never witnessed anything so ridiculous. That said, our server did a great job considering her situation. I felt like we were on the hidden camera show What Would You Do. Should I get up and help? Should I say something to Chris? Is a camera man going to come out from the kitchen? Our server did EVERYTHING! She took orders, served drinks, did refills, delivered food… When the five top next to us wanted separate checks, I about died. It was our day off, so my boyfriend and I weren’t in a hurry and didn’t really care that it took over 30 minutes to get our food as we saw tables order, eat, pay and leave before we even got our meal. New tables had to wait twenty plus minutes to even be acknowledged by Jamie. Not her fault! My server heart ached for Jamie. Blatant incompetence and neglect by management. You should be ashamed Chris. If you want a job that allows you to just sit and watch, the restaurant business is NOT for you. I can only assume you got the job because you’re related to the owner. Will we return? Only if we see a sign that your establishment is under new management.

You know, it’s not bad. The food is good(and the portions are huge) and the timing for everything was perfect, and the service was okay… though our server was best at interrupting and blunt talking at 70 miles per minute plus some rather odd mannerisms and speech patterns. Almost makes me wonder what the server was spiking her drinks with(and why wasn’t she sharing?!?) Overall the not bad, but not something I need to write home about either…

Pretty good. Called the day before for a party of 6 and had no problems making reservations. We didn’t even have to wait but instead they had the table ready for us 5 minutes early. Lots of seating and it never got too loud. Birthday gets a free meal which was a nice surprise. They didn’t even mind the candles we lit in his French Toast. I got the salmon egg benedict. The hollandaise was pretty good — nothing to write home about but also not terrible. The eggs were very small and one was overcooked. Other people got scrambles which were HUGE — easily 2 meals. The French toast was also huge but got rave reviews. Staff was very gracious and coffee/water refills kept coming around. Plus all the staff was in UW gear! Go huskies!

This was my first time at Patty’s eggnest! The portions were gigantic! I got the bananas foster French toast(it says 3 pieces but it’s more like 6!) and my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy. The food was great but it was very busy when we went(around noon) so it felt super crowded and the restaurant décor itself could use some work. All in all, I would probably return if I’m ever in the area looking for brunch!

Second visit to this establishment and I will have to say not any happier the second time around. HORRIBLE! Experience. Rude was taken to a whole new level. I have been discriminated against for being hispanic, I’m used to that, but never for being a woman! Walked out before our server ever approached us. Gonna leave it at that.

I went here as I’m a huge breakfast person, and its super close to my house. I was just underwhelmed with everything. The food was bland, staff not very attentive and seemed like I was trying be rushed out because I was on my own. The food was greasy and just not to a standard I’d have for breakfast eating out.

This is an incredible breakfast/brunch place. Environment: Family friendly. The noise level is about average and it’s got a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I felt like I was stepping right int my grandma’s kitchen. Quality of food: I had the Philly cheese omelette and it was so scrumptious. I devoured that up like a lion devours its’ prey after being restless for 10 days. Quality of service: The waitresses here were so funny and friendly. They played a huge part of creating the family environment. I couldn’t help but tip them well! They also kept the coffee and water filled to the brim the whole time!

I have two positive things to say about this place. 1. My coffee cup was always full. 2. The freezer jam they use is good. Other than that everything is pretty meh. Unless you’re really hungry and just want to ton of bland greasy food, I would recommend skipping this place. The food is typical diner fair. I wouldn’t say it’s any better than Denny’s. Just much much larger portions. But who wants a bunch of not very good food? The staff is strange… They don’t seem to much care that you’re there. For example some woman came up and started refilling my sugar packets while I was sitting there eating. She didn’t make eye contact, she didn’t say anything. It was as if it were empty table. I’ve tried this place several times, but I always leave disappointed. Save yourself the trouble.

Wowowowow did this place change owners cuz it went from being decent to terrible. Placed an order on the phone — got home and the order was completely wrong. Ordered pancakes, and instead received its distant relative, the Belgian waffle. Alright, not what we ordered, but nbd — everyone has off days. Once I douse my waffle in maple syrup all will be well again. Wait where’s the maple syrup? Apparently still chilling at the resto cuz it was nowhere to be found in our takeout order. I take a bite into the Belgian waffle — mmmmm what a delightful chewy and cold waffle. Hey Patty, thanks for getting the order all wrong and for letting the order go cold while your paying customer waited more than half an hour despite repeatedly asking whether the food was ready. Bravo, you did it!

I’ve been to this location on 3 occasions, the service was all around mediocre. The wait staff was less than attentive to not only my party but the other 3 tables in the dining room. The waiter didn’t check in at all with us. I had to flag him down for a coffee refill and the bill. Their cooks were taking breaks in the dining room with their uniforms on. Saw one go into the bathroom with his apron on… they apparently need to revisit their health code standards… tisk tisk!

I had some sort of Tex-Mex tasting scramble that tasted good, but… dear reader, I have a question for you. How long do you like your food to gestate for in your stomach? If the answer is under 5 minutes, then you have found your personal heaven– Patty’s Eggnest. My food Usain Bolted through me in the most unpleasant manner, and I truly, honestly, whole-heartedly regret having eaten here. I halfheartedly apologize for the graphic review, but I NEED you to understand what you are putting yourself through if you eat here. It’s not worth it, babe. It’s just not. Listen to Adrian. Stay away.

I stopped in and it didnt disappoint. It was a busy weekday but i was taken to a table pretty quickly. I ordered French Toast with Sausage and Eggs. The french toast came with apples and whipped crème. So delicious with fresh apples it didnt even need syrup. And i cant put my finger on what type of sausage it was, but it was huge and maybe a German variety. Definitely add this place to your to try list.

As expected, on Sundays this place is completely packed with families — parking lot included, but the lot is shared with QFC so you can park and walk a little further from there. It’s not a large restaurant so that explains the wait and it being a weekend when I went. There are a lot of different food choices and breakfast is served all day which is nice. Really affordable breakfast prices — a lot under $ 10 which is pretty rare for Seattle. I ordered the California Benedict which was pretty good although the avocado didn’t seem incredibly fresh and it only came with two slices. There was a lot of(very very salty) bacon crumbled on top of it so I was constantly drinking water. The servers were not incredibly friendly or helpful. I had to ask for my water to be refilled the one time they came to our table, despite the fact she was carrying water pitcher in her hand. In general, I think the food is fine but not very special. The atmosphere and décor is so lackluster — it was dark, cramped, and decorated like an old hotel or something.

My MIL and I enjoy trying breakfast/brunch places around the area so we came here because I had a completed punch card from the Crown Hill. I’d never been to their location before and it’s doubtful I will return. The place was packed and we were seated in an awkward table near the window. When a neighbouring table opened up, we asked a busboy if we could move over and he helped us relocate. I got the 6 oz. Bigfoot CFS with country sausage gravy, 3 eggs, hashbrowns, and choice of toast, $ 9.95. You can choose the larger 11 oz. steak for $ 11.95 but the quality felt pre-fab and not made in house. I’d say skip it. My MIL chose the California Eggs Benedict with honey-cured bacon, fresh tomato, and avocado slices. She thought that $ 13 was too high for what she received and that the coffee was weak. Our food was perfectly fine but it was the lack of service that will keep us away. I asked several times for a glass of ice and some lemon slices but didn’t get them until our food arrived. It took us a while to also get coffee refills. There are better options for breakfast and brunch in Seattle. I’d suggest you frequent them instead.
