I bought Glenn’s service on Angie’s list in April 4 hours of handyman services for $ 259. He was quite prompt with the emails and organizing time and date. He requested a list of things that needed to be taken care of and I gave him the following: 1. install two pendant lights from the ceiling. 2. Install 3 wall plates for electrical plug in and cable. 3. Caulk bathtub and seal, and tile in kitchen 4. Finish tile backsplash if possible 5. Install front plate of dishwasher 6. Fix drywall on switch plate by stairs He said ok he will try to do all this within 4 hours. Service date: April 20th. He was on time and seemed to know what he was doing, but when I came back to check up on the progress, he said he had broken a part of the pendant light. He said he can just glue it back together. This kind of started the downhill slide. 1) When you break something that belongs to someone, don’t you at least ask if you can REPLACE it? With the way it was broken, I don’t think glue could have really helped this. 2) He couldn’t install any of the wall plates as he said he was missing some connection? 3) He caulked the sealed the kitchen and bathtub ok I think. 4) He glued the backsplash and left it like that. No grout was put on. Glenn never told me he couldn’t finish this back splash in a day. He never even bothered to follow up to see if he can finish the job or anything. 5) He said the plate of my dishwasher which was brand new was the wrong part because it didn’t ‘fit’. We did a Home Depot run for some tool he needed AND bought this guy lunch! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I felt I was ripped off and just absolutely discouraged by this entire transaction. Would definitely not deal with this guy again or recommend him.
