Not a rockhound here… but my daughter and wife are. They discovered this hobby about a year ago and go up to Snoqualmie and dig/collect crystals. Now they have a passion for all things rocks and minerals… so this is how I end up here. Very cute store and it is full of all types of things from different minerals to jewelry to gifts and tools. The owner dude is quite the character and will tell you all sorts of stories, and the dog will most likely greet you upon entering(but then tire of you and go back to his hectic schedule of sleeping on his bed). The prices seem reasonable, and the place is cool for spending a hour or so browsing even for those of us that aren’t rockhounds…

Lanny the owner is really knowledgeable and the shop is gorgeous. Very reasonable prices, I highly recommend. Also Lanny is straightforward and will never try to pass treated citrine or dyed agate off as real with out telling you. I so loved all of my experiences here.

This store has EVERYTHING for your inner rock hound! Opened just a month, it has a warm atmosphere, very knowledgeable proprietor, amazing selection of rocks, mineral, gems, and oddities as well as maps, tools, and hobbyist equipment. They are developing a lecture program and classes! Great people, great atmosphere, great place!

Great selection! So glad to have a local minerals shop so I don’t have to schlepp all the way over to Kirkland or downtown. Thanks for opening! My indulgence!

This unique rock shop just opened up off Lake City Way – I think«rock shop» is severely underselling the place, though. They have a large collection of fossils, geodes, rough and cut rocks, petrified wood, polished agate and semiprecious jewelry, and even oddities like preserved turtle eggs and meteorites! Plus lots of handy books, picks and other tools, and rock cutting/polishing equipment for those who want to DIY. The couple who own this shop clearly love rocks and the stories behind them(and they know a LOT about where to find each kind of rock). The stones here come from places both near and far, and each one has its own unique tale(all you have to do is ask). Additionally, they are planning to host rock cutting classes – how cool is that? I can see both kids and adults loving this place. Don’t act like you don’t have a rock collection gathering dust in a closet somewhere… Why not bust it out, then add to it? Millions of years of history are just waiting to be discovered.
