Northgate Manor

I’m not sure why this place only has three stars. Maybe it’s because there are only a few reviews but most of the reviews are good. Anyhow, a friend of mine applied for an apartment there this morning. The apartment is on the bottom floor, it’s spacious and clean. The property manager Saron was inviting, knowledgable and all together helpful. She answered all of our questions in a professional and knowledgable manner. The building is in a nice tucked in wooded area and the security seems good. I hope my friend gets the place. She’s supposed to know by tonight or tomorrow morning.

My husband and I lived in a bottom floor unit and enjoyed our time here. The apartment stayed nice and cool in the summer and had great heating that kept it warm in the winter. Saron was a great manager and took good care of us. The location was great as it is right next to Northagte Mall.

I have lived here for a year and plan to continue to live here till i finish school. As a graduate student this place is amazing!!! It’s spacious, quiet, close to grocery stores, the mall, various bus lines & transit center, as well as the freeway.
As a female this place is very safe. There is 24 hour surveillance of the parking lot, the entrances (which are key code entry), and each floor. Saron, the property manager, is warm, welcoming, attentive, and caring. She responds to text or phone calls within a few mins (or hours on the weekends). The property is cleaned on inside and outside weekly.
I would definitely recommend living here if you are looking for a spacious, quiet, and diverse part of Seattle.

My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Northgate manner. Saron was a great site manager, nice and helpful and wonderful. Our spot was great for the price, Nieghbors were nice the location is incredibly convenient. My wife and I loved living here and just moved to student housing at the university of washington.

I have lived at Northgate Manor for nearly three years. I have found the management to be very kind and very effective. Look, as long as you are respectful and honest with everyone who lives near you, it is really a quiet and great place to be. As a single woman, I also feel very safe. As a property management professional at other «luxury high rise apartment homes» downtown, I think the communication and results that are followed are exceptional. This is a community that watches out for eachother. Highly recommended.

I am the Property Manager since July 2014 and have nothing but mostly positive things to say about the property. Northgate Manor has always had 99%-100% occupancy. Its a well kept, peaceful apartment building, with very nice, professional and friendly residents. The only reason I decided to get on Unilocal is to resolve some of the concerns whenever possible. Kathy, thanks for calling me and taking the time to chat. I had no idea that there was a complain on a couple of my residents. Few minutes after I spoke with you I stopped by your Managers office and meet with the assistant. Unfortunately no one has tried to reach out, I happen to find out that she did not even have my phone number to call me on. Profiling is not necessary, you have my number and you can reach me at anytime if you have an noise issues or any other concerns. Sometimes you have residents start to have fun and space out the quite hours this is no excuse but lets move forward and I will make sure something like this does not get addressed.
As for Jennifer, I know why you are not happy. This is a standard rule you put a holding deposit on an apartment, you got approved based on additional deposit, you did not respond to my calls or email you finally text after over a week of no communication off course you lose your holding deposit as the apartment was off the market for you.
I am not going to mention the next reviewer but yes she lived at the Northgate Manor for 5 years and I am sure she must have liked it to stay that long. Unfortunately, her extension came to an end and was asked to move out. I can understand if we did not get a positive review. Hope you do like your new place.
Refundable deposits, yes that’s a very sensitive issue. You take good care of your place yes you get all your money back with a charge for a professional carpet cleaning. We always ask that you leave the place as was received including new drip pans. Northgate Manor does not charge no-​refundable or admin fees like other properties. We do have a refundable deposit equal to one month rent which is for any damages, luck of cleaning, any late fees etc. There are a handful of ex residents that have got back there total amount.

Unprofessional & uncaring staff. Building/​apartments look uncared for. I would not recommend giving them your business.

This apartment has got worse! Now across from me are some women from either India or Pakistan who stay up until 3:45 am playing music and laughing really loud on their patio. There are 5 young men from east Africa who will gather in the parking lot across from us, who will smoke (we can smell it and it drifts towards us), talk real loud and will sit in their car and listen to rap. Our office manager is still trying to contact their manager but no such luck.

This has been the worst apartment experience that I’ve ever dealt with in my life. The landlord is a cheap money hungry lady that will yell at you when you walk into her office to sign the leasing agreement. I should’ve known then what I was going to deal with by moving into this trashy apartment complex. She was lecturing to me about how to take a shower without steaming up the room so that molds won’t form in your bathroom, really?! Also, when I was moving my furniture in, my dog was of course busy running around since I could barely keep track of where everything else was, but she wrote me a text msg saying this was going to be my «final warning» about keeping my dog off leash… When I was away for a trip, my neighbor told me that they were towing my car away from my paid spot at my own expense because they needed to cut down some trees since a tree fell on someone’s car and damaged it pretty badly. They only gave people 48 hours notice to move their cars… And lastly, the tenants that live here do appear as if they are regulars on Jerry Springer and literally have nothing to do than making inappropriate noises all day and all night if you know what I mean. Recently, the management said they’ll install a security camera around the apartment since many people’s cars have been stolen or broke into around this area. It would be best to avoid this nightmare place if you want to feel like living in a peaceful environment at your own place. Hoping to move out by next month, fingers crossed!

Don’t expect your deposit back, don’t expect the landlady to return your calls, don’t expect respectful nieghbors, don’t expect maintenance to keep their appointments and don’t expect a clean apartment when you move in. I’d say the only thing you can count on from Northgate Manor Apartments is to get screwed out of your deposit.
Seriously, there are better options in the Northgate neighborhood. If you have to get a roomate to afford to move out-​consider it.

I lived in Northgate Manor for 5 years. Never had a complaint from any of my neighbors. The owner decides that My 8 year old daughter is not allowed to post a sign to help care for dogs. Stating that it is on my lease that this is not allowed. However, I was no longer in a lease for the past 4 years.
Getting maintenance to fix anything is impossible, and they have been through 5 since Ive lived there. Just got a new one before moving out. Rent has increased every couple months as well, for no better service.
The owner likes to judge anyone and everyone and charge as much money as she possibly can! Its all about money to her!
