525 At The Enclave

Staff: 5 stars. Actual infrastructure: 1 star. The stove knobs were constantly breaking and I was constantly having to put in work orders for them to be fixed. Also the cabinet door kept falling and rubbing on the fridge door and I had to have them come fix that multiple times as well. Considering I was the first ever resident in this unit this is disappointing. I could hear every single footstep my upstairs neighbor made — the staff did help mediate this situation by talking to her but it remained a problem. It really seems like there is no noise insulation between floors so if you are a light sleeper I don’t recommend this place. I did get my security deposit back promptly unlike the other reviewer.

I lived at 525 At The Enclave for one year. They are run by Pinnacle Management company. When I first moved in, I thought I had found a wonderful place to live. It turned out to be a terrible experience!
The worst thing is that at the time that I’m writing this, I will have been moved out or 2 months and have still not received my deposit refund! The law is that a landlord has 14 days to return the deposit, but it appears that this company simply has no regard for the law. I am proceeding to take them to court. I have tried repeatedly to get The Enclave management to get the refund to me only to get the runaround and to be lied to over and over. I left the apartment in immaculate condition.
There are constant car break ins inside of the garage as well as break ins into the building itself. When I left, I had counted about 20 car break ins. Last I heard, rather than hiring a security office to patrol at night, they are now going to try and charge tenants if a tenant happens to «allow» another car to enter into the gated garage behind them. What!!!
Dealing with Pinnacle Property Management and the managers on site proved to be such a frustrating experience even though I was a superb tenant in every way! When an issue arose, there were occasions where I was lied to and typically given the runaround with issues never being resolved.
My advice? KEEP LOOKING and skip 525 At The Enclave! Pinnacle is an extremely awful property management company to deal with. NO to renting at 525 At The Enclave.

Not a safe place to live! My car was broke in last night in their parking garage, all the stuffs in the car value at $ 3000 got stolen. And last night there were other two vehicles got broke in, too. There is no security here, neither any cameras. And the leasing office said they can do nothing. I’m feeling sooooooo angry, and I won’t recommend anyone to move here.

Also wanted to leave a review because of the negative reviews below. Overall, I agree with the previous review from Su H. I have been living here since October when the building began leasing.
Don’t let the few negative reviews from others experiencing #firstworldproblems keep you from giving this place a shot.
Like when purchasing anything, do your research and be an informed consumer and expect that nothing will be perfect. Life will throw you lemons! Make sure to have your juicer handy!

Credit card payments were removed as a form of payment without notice, so one of the largest perks is now gone. The follow up from the corporate office has been dismal and their customer service in response to concerns has been awful. Additionally, poor HVAC means you –need– an air conditioner in your space so budget for the additional expenses both up front and monthly (electricity). Otherwise temperatures rise to 87 – 91 degrees inside the units. Since most layouts feature casement windows, be prepared to custom fit your portable air conditioner with a custom fiberglass install (window units won’t work).

Wow, 525 deserves a MUCH higher rating than what’s currently reflected based on the two angry reviews below. So even though it’s early in my residence here (I moved in in December 2014), I feel the need to chime in with the very positive experience I’ve had so far.
First off, 525 at the Enclave is a brand-​new luxury apartment building, so the units themselves are immaculate: spacious, beautifully designed, filled with high-​end appliances (efficient dishwashers, large-​capacity washer/​dryers, matching stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, etc), super-​wide kitchen islands, large double-​paned windows, quality carpeting & hardwood floors. Yes, they’re mostly of the «box-​shaped» modern variety, but the high ceilings, tasteful accent wall colors, good lighting (both recessed & pendants) & nice finishes make it feel very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
Location couldn’t be better. We’re right next-​door to a huge 24-​Hour Fitness, have a handy Total Wine store just downstairs, major bus-​stops for the 41 Downtown Express under a block away, and the I-​5, Northgate Mall, Target/​Best Buy/​Petco/​Ross, QFC, Northgate Library, and post office all under 3 blocks away from here. Plus, the Northgate Transit Center & Thornton Place Regal IMAX are a 10-​minute walk away. This part of Northgate is very walkable & has plenty of public transit – the perfect urban-​convenience/​vibrancy-​meets-​suburban-​sanity neighborhood, IMO.
As to the building itself – the amenities & office staff are OUTSTANDING. It pains me to see the complaint against Darkua in one of the reviews below, because in my experience (and I bother the office staff quite a bit, renting amenities, etc) all the managers have never failed to greet me with smiles and friendly, helpful attitudes. Their kindness and realness in addition to their professionalism makes them some of the best «concierge-​style» apartment managers I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, and helps make this place feel even more like home.
As for amenities, the gigantic club room/​billiard room & swanky theater room have massive «wow factor» (I love hosting parties & movie nights now… ;-)). The screen in the theater room is superb – crystal-​clear HD (makes my regular BDs look like they’re running in 48 fps!) & excellent surround sound. The club room has a kitchen, a couch area facing the fireplace & giant (90″?) screen, and opens to the billiard area. Outside, we have a nicely landscaped courtyard with an outdoor fireplace & 2 high-​end BBQ units for resident use.
There’s also a nice workout room, a biz center, conference room, a VIDEO GAME ROOM containing all the new consoles (PS4, etc) – SO AWESOME for a semi-​gamer like me who doesn’t own a PS4 but still wants to play the latest MGS, etc. There’s also a rental suite for visiting parents, etc, for $ 125 a night. In short, I love, love, LOVE the amenities here!
To be fair, there are a few negatives too – the main thing being the high cost of utilities. I was out of town for all of February this year & discovered that even when I was using 0 utilities, I was still charged the base $ 40 for trash, gas, etc, that is split amongst the building residents for that month. Utilities, overall, are a bit pricier than I’m used to (my W/​S/​G/​Trash bill comes out to about $ 100 per month, for a single person in a 1-​bedroom unit, and electricity is about $ 35-​$ 40 per month for me (granted, I work full-​time from home, so my computer is on 24 – 7)).
Also, while there are a lot of nice, quiet young professionals and couples living here, it is a fact that we also have a surprisingly high number of college students for a luxury building. Whether it’s their fault or not, I’ve noticed much more disrespectful behavior toward the building than I’ve encountered in this kind of apartment complex before (e.g. empty drink containers/​trash in the immaculately cleaned common areas, oversized cardboard & bags of trash left IN the garbage room rather than down the chute, etc). And while my particular stack is blessed with no hookah or cigarette smokers, there does seem to be a good amount of late-​night cooking & vigorous athletic activity (ping pong? Basketball dribbling??) my neighbors engage in from 11pm-​3am. But that’s apartment living, I guess, & the thicker-​than-​average ceilings/​floors do muffle the sound a little.
Overall, this is a beautiful, brand-​new, amenity-​packed, excellently located & generally very comfortable place to live. It comes at a cost and has a few rough edges (*cough*bratty residents*cough*), but I have never been more satisfied with an apartment. The value of what you get in terms of in-​unit and community amenities just can’t be beat, and the drive/​express bus to downtown is super-​easy. I can’t recommend 525 enough!

At first I was thrilled to move in here… Until I was being awoken at 3am EVERYDAY!!!
This place is commercial NOT residential which means garbage pick up and store delivery trucks can come at ANYTIME.
So ever day I am woken to loud noises that DON’T stop until 7am…
I have complained and contacted the city of Seattle and there is NOTHING they can do.
The apartments can put a special coating on your apartment to help with noise but they don’t because they are cheap!
Not to mention I can’t break my lease and I can’t afford to move into another apartment.
A studio 400sq ft is 1200 dollars/​mo! That’s CRAZY.
I can get a two bedroom HOUSE for that cost.
Needless to say I am looking for a new home and will be moving out ASAP!
I highly recommend NOT renting here… yikes.

I am literally being harassed and constantly disrespected by the new leasing manager Darkua Bruce-​Tahoe. It’s only been a month since she took over the office. Since then, the maintenance staff has entered my unit without permission, my refrigerator went out on a Friday and she sent me a cooler on Sunday afternoon after all my food was already spoiled. My car has been towed and the storage I rent has been burglarized.
Darkua came to my home the day I had surgery and was yelling and refused to leave, she is ignoring a maintenance request that I have been making for 3 weeks. She literally kicks my entry door with her feet and made my children cry in my home.
I’ve contacted homeline, the attorney general office, legal assistance at my school, and legal aid and everyone is telling me the same thing. I can take her to court and sue her or I can leave it alone. But I like my place, just not the manager and I also don’t like the lack of responsibility from her staff.

Friendly staff, clean and new building, BOILER water (so it won’t be running out), super fast gated garage, close to TONS of stuff.
Pretty damn awesome. :-D
