Really tasty. Maximus sauce had just the right amount of heat. Slaw with some parsley was a new twist and really made it taste fresh.

Had the chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo, Beecher’s flagship and sweet cole slaw with cranberries. Wonderful! Chicken was tender, sauce was spicy & plentiful. Can’t wait to go back for the pulled pork! And it’s the most entertaining looking food truck in town, decked out head to toe like a metal pig. Loved it

Meh, I got really excited for this food truck… I mean just look at the thing. Unfortunately their truck was more impressive than their pulled pork. It definitely had a hot pepper taste to it, but it wasn’t very smoked or tender tasting. I’ll pass next time I see it in Occidental.

I was really excited to see the truck in the area, so I went down to have some food. I wanted to have their grilled chicken sandwich with a dollop of their Maximus sauce(one of their 2 sauces). I go up and ask if I can get the grilled chicken sandwich with the Maximus sauce and they said no. They didn’t put the BBQ sauce on the chicken(even though they do it with their Mac & Cheese). I ended up getting their pulled pork sandwich. The pork was dry, the bread was over toasted and hard(or just old), and the proportion of the meat to bread was way off.

Enjoyed lunch off of their truck in Kenmore. The neighborhood loved them and they closed early as they ran out of food. Glad I got there early to enjoy my Maximus Pork sandwich, Maximus Slaw, Ginger Lemonade and the only gripe was bagged chips yet higher quality yet not fresh. Look forward to them being in Kenmore again soon

They have a limited menu which comprises of 2 sandwich options veggie and pulled with 2 sauce choices — sweet(minimus) or spicy(maximus) barbecue and sides of slaw or chips. The maximus pulled pork sandwich with a drizzle of beechers cheese is my go to choice. The sandwiches are no frills just deliciously cooked meat served with bread. Just the way I prefer no distractions — get straight to the meat of it. :) To quench your thirst I would recommend getting a glass of the ginger lemonade. The service is friendly and I always have a good convo with the folks in front of the truck.

My girlfriend and I were exploring downtown Seattle around lunchtime, and we were trying to find somewhere new and interesting to eat. When we came upon a giant metal pig with sunglasses parked on the corner of a street, we knew we had found the place to go. We each ordered the pulled pork sandwich with the spicy barbecue sauce($ 7 each). Every bite of this sandwich was incredible. The pork was tender and juicy, and the spicy sauce really had a kick to it. I thought that the sauce complemented the pork perfectly, although my girlfriend thought that the sauce overwhelmed the taste of the pork. We both really liked that the sandwich contained cilantro and that the bun was toasted and buttered. My only complaint is that I wish the sandwiches were bigger(especially for the price). My sandwich was gone in less than two minutes. If I see this food truck again, I’ll definitely get another pulled pork sandwich.

We just hired Maximus Minimus to cater our wedding and they did an outstanding job. All of our correspondence with them beforehand was prompt and really helpful and on the day they showed up on time and did an amazing job serving everyone on one of the hottest days of the year, which can’t be easy in a tiny hot kitchen on wheels. All of our guests raved about the food– loving the sandwiches, mac and cheese and the slaw. Having the pig parked at our wedding site helped make the day really fun and unique.

I hired Maximus/minimus for a local wedding reception and they were a hit! To start with their catering manager was on top of responding to e-mails and questions. Their contract was easy to fill out and understand. They were speedy about sending over necessary documents to obtain the street use permits. Overall, super easy to work with. My clients and their guests loved the food that was offered! Many people went back to try out their many options and many loved the ginger lemonade and hibiscus tea. Would definitely recommend Maximus/minimus for your next catered event. Such a fun twist on normal catering! Plus, the pig always gets everyone’s attention!

You can’t go wrong going Maximus!!! It’s our annual visit to Seattle and a friend referred us. My husband needed his fix for pork and Maximus/minimus was the perfect find. Great service and amazing pulled pork sandwiches!

Not bad, I saw this place on The Food Network one random night and thought I’d stop there while in Seattle. The food was good but pulled pork isn’t the easiest street food to eat. The food overall is nothing special but it is cool seeing the truck and the people there.

mobile food truck rodeo food: pulled pork sandwich with the minimus sauce. i have heard so much from this food truck and i gotta say it doesnt fill the hype in my opinion. the food wasnt bad, but it wasnt great either. the pulled pork is tender and the sauce was tasty, but it lacked flavor in the pork side of things. ***3/5 service: it was easy to order and the lady got my sandwich very quick. ***5/5 ambiance: cmon… look at their truck! its so awesome. ***5/5 price: $ 7 dollars for that sandwich. based on what it is… maybe $ 3 or $ 4. ***3/5

There is love on that thar street! How can you not be intrigued by a big ol rolling pig with sunglasses parked on 6th Avenue? I felt compelled to stop, especially when I saw the hibiscus nectar and ginger lemonade. My first thought was to just get the beverage; but the food looked so yummy that I just had to try. I chose the chicken sandwich minimus with chipotle mayo. I loved that it’s served on a wheat bun and that it has such amazing greens. The chipotle mayo has a pleasant kick to it — very palatable and the perfect marriage with the marinate on the chicken. Oh yes, and the cheese — the cheese was enough to make me sing. I was pleased to try the beverage — you can mix the hibiscus nectar and the ginger lemonade for a super refreshing drinking delight. So, I can’t recommend this place enough — so, the next time you see the giant rolling pig with the sunglasses, stop and have a bite.

Food trucks are great because they bring things you wouldn’t normally have to your doorstep. In this case this wonderful pig shaped truck is right around the corner on a few days of the week. I had the Maximus(salty and savory) with the minimus cole slaw.(Sweet). A terrific combination. The portions aren’t huge but just about right as a combo. Hope they stay near us as the truck moves around quite a bit.

This food truck is a really novel sight to see, but as far as the food goes, it’s pretty average. I ordered a maximus sandwich, which is the spicy pulled pork variation, and a ginger lemonade, for nine bucks. The sandwich itself was $ 7, and I would say for food trucks, the size is worth it, if barely. The meat was just not that extraordinary, though. It didn’t «pop.» I didn’t get much of a zing from the supposed mix of peppers and fruit juices. Frankly, it just tasted like the same mediocre pulled pork you can get at any sub par restaurant chain across the country. Three stars though because the lady taking orders was very friendly, the truck is hilarious to look at, and the food will satisfy in a fix, even if it doesn’t blow your mind.

I always catch the pig when it’s parked on 2nd and Pike. If you catch the pig at a good time, you can get their Beechers mac n cheese! They always run out around 1230! Everytime I come here, I order the maximus pulled pork(minus the bun) because I mix it with the Beecher’s mac n cheese w/maximus sauce and eat it together! 2 Amazing items put together, you get an amazing taste! Don’t get me wrong here, I’ve eaten the pulled pork with the bun and slaw, but something about the mac n cheese that brings out the other flavors of the pulled pork. I am sad now that they’re hibernating for the winter! I have to look for them in April now! Too long! If you really want some of their food, have them cater your event– it’s some of the best pulled pork I’ve ever had!

I’ve been wanting to try this truck out ever since I moved back to the Seattle area and also saw it featured on one of the food network type shows. You really can’t miss this truck as it’s parked out on 2nd and Pike in downtown Seattle… it’s a big metal pig on wheels! I’ve gotten food from here on only a few occasions, and if I would’ve written this review the first time I would’ve given it 4 stars. I had their chicken burger with chipotle mayo and opted to add Beecher’s cheese for around $ 8.00($ 7.00 for the sandwich, $ 1.00 for the cheese). I really liked the combination of these ingredients into one sandwich. Very flavorful and just right. I went back to this truck yesterday with two of my coworkers. I ordered the same sandwich and was pretty underwhelmed by it all. Overall it wasn’t as tasty and the ingredients didn’t seem as freshly made/cooked this time around. I would give this a place a 3.5 if it was possible on Unilocal, because the food can be good. but really it’s a hit or miss for me.

Maximus/Minimus = Mixed Bagimus Attended the South Lake Union Block Party last Friday. Rather than partake in the food sampling event which was crowded, I decided to head over to the food truck area for some grub. Finally making my first visit to this seasonal food truck. Maximus/Minimus only operates during the warmer months. It is grounded when the cold weather starts settling in Seattle. This food truck is owned by the same folks who run Beecher’s. Which of course means that Beecher’s mac and cheese is on the menu here. However, the main offering is the pulled pork sandwiches. I saw that they had a pulled pork mac and cheese, but unfortunately they were temporarily out of it. So I decided to get a maximus pulled pork sandwich with a side of slaw($ 8.50). Get maximus if you want it hot and spicy, while order minimus if you are drawn to sweet and tangy flavors. In retrospect, I think I should have got the minimus with some heat instead. The pulled pork was a little too dry. It seemed like maybe it was dry rubbed perhaps which would explain this. Not enough pork juices flowing. It really needed some sort of sauce. Chipotle mayo maybe. I do like that they grill the bun here which makes it a bit crispy. The slaw was the better of the two items. I would definitely suggest getting the slaw if you buy a sandwich. It does serve to counteract the supposed heat of the sandwich. I really like the cool and refreshing taste of this slaw. Price wise, I found the portion size to be fair. All in all, Maximus/Minimus was okay. Would like to give the mac and cheese here a try. The cheese definitely would have done wonders to the pulled pork I had.

Finally got to try the pig at the Food Truck Rodeo this weekend in Fremont… I waited over a half hour in line just to be really disappointed. I had their Maximus(was told the Max was like 2 star thai) BBQ pork sandwich which costs $ 7. When I received the sandwich I was disappointed in the size, it was the size of a big slider for $ 7? Their wasn’t much pork on it either. The taste was barely spicy, bland tasting and there wasn’t a smoky flavor like I expect good BBQ to have. There was also a lot of fat which is not fun to find in your pulled pork. So all and all they are MAX on hype and MIN on flavor.

And this little piggy went«I AM A BADASS» all the way home. I saw this food truck on the top food trucks in North America on the Food Network(top 2). I thought to myself, «I NEEDTOSEETHIS» especially with the hardcore metal pig. I just had to. I went on a Thursday around 1PM, not many people were there. It was me and like, 4 people. I quickly got my order(maximus pork) with a ginger lemonade(because they sold out of the hibiscus drink). The pulled pork was delicious — slow cooked perfectly, but lacked the kick I was expecting. Next time, if I ever go to Seattle again, I’m getting this with more heat.
