Wonderful, wonderful pharmacy. My dog has a number of prescriptions she needs compounded and I love getting them here. They are extremely friendly and accommodating. Maple Leaf is quite a ways from where I live and I work a lot, so if I can’t get up there to pick up the prescriptions, they just drop them in the mail for me and I get them the next day. Furthermore, they are the cheapest compounders I have been able to find. I can’t recommend them enough.

I went into the Maple Leaf Pharmacy because I like to support local businesses and needed some sunscreen. The pharmacist was on the phone, so I found what I needed and waited at the counter for him to ring me up. I waited 20 minutes while he continued on with what sounded like a personal call. He could have rung me up and let me be on my way while on the call, but the call was clearly more important to him. I walked out, went to Bartell’s, and got my sunscreen. I have since learned that this is one of the pharmacies that refuses to stock Plan B so that by the time the patient gets it, it’s too late to use. I will not be giving this pharmacy my business. I’d rather use a chain, and that’s not something I would normally say.

I have been using this pharmacy because it is right in my neighborhood and I like to support local business. Prescriptions are always filled quickly though counter-service is sometimes slow. All in all though, it has that Mom-and-Pop feeling which makes me overlook limited stock and a slow cash register. The owner has always been anything but friendly over the years I’ve been there, avoiding eye contact and muttering under his breath rather than addressing my questions directly. Eye contact is not a luxury he shared with me for some reason. The other folks there are friendly enough though so I overlooked it. However recently my medical situation has changed a lot. I am a cancer patient and am going through chemotherapy. This requires many different types of prescription drugs along with it — many of which are highly controlled. Today was an all-time low when two pharmacists(one of whom is the owner) basically called my credibility into question regarding the prescriptions. The owner interupted his rant about the election(not work appropriate, by the way) to make some snide comments about my prescription combinations. He then told the other pharmacist to call my Dr. because it seemed suspicious. All this was done, not to my face, but audibly so that other patrons could overhear them basically accusing me of being a liar. Their concern was that the scripts were from two different doctors? Well, if they had looked at the forms they would see the doctors are at the same location(True Women’s Cancer Center) and are linked. Also, every prescription I have states quite clearly at the bottom that I am a cancer patient. Yet they still called my credibility into question? What, am I lying about cancer and tricking the doctors and, oh, thank god the pharmacist foiled my plan! I then demanded that they give me my prescriptions back and that their behavior was inappropriate. I was humiliated and told them that as well. Now I still need my prescriptions(haven’t made it to Safeway yet), I’m in pain, and I feel extremely offended. I didn’t deserve to be treated this way. Maple Leaf is my home and I love our neighborhood. We take care of each other here, and this is NOT how we treat our neighbors. Support this pharmacy only if you find it entirely justifiable for a pharmacist’s personal biases to stand in the way of this chemo patients much-needed medication.

Easily the best pharmacy I’ve been to. Incredibly friendly service, great selection, and always willing to help! Go here and you won’t be disappointed!

Traditionally, the only expectations for a pharmacy I ever had were for my prescriptions to be ready upon pick-up, and for the price to be aligned with my medical plan. The Bartell’s in Queen Anne served that role for me for several years, but then I moved to Northeast Seattle. After experiencing about what must be the worst consumer experience ever at the Lake City Bartell’s, I knew I needed to move on. Maple Leaf Pharmacy received great Unilocal reviews, and they are listed in my medical plan, so I decided to give them a try. When I rang, I received no automated response, but instead was connected to a real live human who readied my prescriptions for transfer from Bartell’s. I was told I would be contacted when my prescriptions were ready. And you know what? SOMEONECALLEDME. When I went to pick up my meds, I tried not to wince when I approached the counter, fearing I would be told there was a problem with my order. Instead, I was asked, «How are you doing today?» A little scared, I timidly answered, «Um.fine, thank you.» When asked for my name, I provided the info and again readied myself for the bad news. «Here you are,» the employee said. All of it was there. I didn’t have to wait. The price was right. Someone asked me how my day was. Holy crap. I think this is what people in the old days used to call, «customer service.»

Need a compounded Rx. Good communication and response time via email. Transferred from W. Seattle Pharmaca. Ordered and got 2x the meds for the same price as Pharmaca. They are on the other side of town but send the Rx in the mail. Always prompt and keep me posted as to what’s going on. Thanks for making it easy to get refills online and via email. Good job.

Great old-school neighborhood pharmacy. It’s nice to go into a pharmacy and can build a relationship with the pharmacist that also owns the pharmacy.

It is great to have a local Pharmacy to work with. My family has some medication that is «controlled» and requires a paper scrip for refills — no call ins. I have asked them to keep the paper scrip on file for me for fear of losing them and they have willingly done so.

Your classic neighborhood pharmacy, small, friendly and reliable. Maple Leaf Pharmacy is convenient for those who wish to stay close to home, especially those who wish to avoid traffic.
