I think if I got my a** kicked by a bunch of mimes walking out of this place and I woke up in a wheelchair, I’d still say I had a «pretty good day» because of this sandwich. I want to wander into Quiznos all over the country with fliers from this place, preaching the gospel, converting nonbelievers. The Slather, the Bun and the Aoli spirit… Ham-en.

Wow the Predator sandwich was so good. Cool place too. 48 taps which include beer, wine, cider, and mixed drinks. I will definitely be going back!

Do you want a great sandwich? This is the place to go if you are in the East lake are of Seattle. The Predator consist of fried chicken and pork belly with that pair equals amazing. I will definitely be back to try what other delicious sandwiches they might have.

So close! I got their Cro-Magnon sandwich. My main issue was that the bread has a very hard/chewy crust. A GREAT bread for dipping in olive oil or enjoying with a good cheese. Bad for a sandwich however. The make up of the sandwich(meats, cheese, etc) were GREAT, but kept squeezing out the backside of the sandwich due to the bread. If you took the middle of the sandwich and put it between two slices of any other sandwich bread and this review goes up to 4 stars. Also the homemade chips that come with are fantastic!

Love a good sandwich? This is your place. How about homemade chips? Yep, here too. Oh did I mention the beer? There is an abundance. I live dangerously close to this place and I cannot get enough of it. I am a sandwich lover and this place has some of the best I’ve had in Seattle. I have tried the Nessie, Herbivore, Caveman and the Predator. It is hard for me to order outside of those 4 because I love them so much. The Predator and the Caveman are meaty and extremely filling. Be prepared if you order them. I also love the atmosphere here. It feels like your neighborhood bar but with really excellent sandwiches.

I had the famous Predator sandwich today. Gave me food poisoning. Stay AWAY! I went there around lunch on 1÷29÷2015. I ordered the Predator. It was tasty! I liked it. A few hours later, it was biological warfare. Never again! Edit: after reading a few more reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who takes issue with their lack of hygiene. Consider yourself warned!

HUNTER11 shaved steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms, salami, provolone, aioli I got the Hunter sandwich but changed it into a salad. I’m not sure how much extra the salad is but the portions looked signficiantly bigger than the salad, so I’m guessing maybe $ 2-$ 3 more. I really like the modern vibe to this place and although others may not like, it’s pretty dead here so you can expect to have your own quiet party. I’d love to come here with a friend and enjoy the privacy and quietness of the restaurant. The salad was alright – the meats for the steak was shredded and I really did not like this. I was expecting steak chunks instead of shreddings. They were very skimpy on the mushrooms and onions but provided a good amount of salami and provolone. I chose the Italian salad dressing but this would have been better with a vinegarette or Chinese chicken salad dressing. This was A-OK. Un Bien is a lot better!

Was super excited when this place opened up, bringing some«hip”-ness to my neighborhood. Ultimately I find that while the food is good, I always feel like I paid a little too much for it. The beer selection is great and the cost is fine for a beer or two but otherwise gets expensive… Especially filling a growler, yikes. I still come here all the time because when I want good quick food without traveling outside Eastlake, it’s the best option. Laziness trumps cost.

Mammoth is one of my favorite spots in Eastlake. Casual atmosphere with great sandwiches, beer selection, and board games. My usual go-to is the Stonehenge but nothing has ever disappointed! The sandwiches come out wrapped in paper and fits the rustic vibe they have going. If you’re looking for somewhere cheap this isn’t for you., but not likely you’ll find anywhere other than subway in Seattle that fits your price point.

Masculine industrial aesthetic, with metal stools, white-washed plywood, Edison lights and subway tiles. Hard to find a clean table– bits of food everywhere, on tables, seats and floor. Staff rarely ventures out from behind the counter to see what the customers see. Not good. An interesting but very pricey beer selection. Food is sandwiches, mostly, also very pricey for what you get; a six-inch, grease-soaked meatball sub with salty brown potato chips costs twelve dollars. And they don’t even put it on a plate, instead wrapping it in butcher paper. Guess I can’t blame them: grease gets soaked up by paper a little better. Their veggie sandwiches might be a better bet, on many levels: aesthetically, nutritionally, economically… Might be a while before I try this place again. I’m a fan of sandwiches and beer generally, but I can’t get past the apparent«can’t be bothered» ethic I see here, in food, housekeeping and customer experience. Meh.(Meh-moth?)

Colossal sandwiches with prehistoric names, what’s not to like? These hearty bites will make you question why you spend money at sandwich-making fast food chains. Mammoth serves up real deal substance and flavor! My generous boss, with a penchant for interesting food, made the way for me and my coworkers to stuff ourselves with abandon recently, while swilling one of the many brews on tap. The sandwich that made me most happy(which I have thought about every day since) was The Predator: fried chicken leg, pork belly, swiss, arugula, roasted red peppers and caper aioli. Tasty combination of flavors with meat that was perfectly cooked. Housemade kettle chips and hot sauce on the side. «Mammoth is a neighborhood gathering place to bring the family, team, laptop, a thirst for beer, and a hunger for a satisfying sandwich.» Grog-approved.

Definitely a place I would come back to. The Predator was delicious — with a generous amount of fried chicken and thin slices of pork belly. Juicy & delicious! Very filling and quick meal! A plus is the 7– minute bus ride from the U-District! Very close & an ideal place to grab a quick lunch.

Out of all the sandwich places I’ve tried in Seattle so far, Mammoth is definitely one of my favorites. The meal tends to be a little pricey(~$ 20) if you decide to get a beer or cider with your sandwich, but it’s the full experience that most customers end up getting(plus the cute mammoth glasses are a bonus). A friend and I decided to trade halves of our sandwiches — he ordered the Hunter and I ordered the infamous Predator. The Hunter is a take on a Philly Cheesesteak, but with the addition of salami and aioli. Really cheesy and really good. The Predator was also fantastic yet heavy at the same time — after all, it’s got both a fried chicken leg AND pork belly in addition to arugula and red peppers wedged between two soft ciabatta rolls. Excellent stuff, but I definitely wanted to take a fat nap afterwards. I’ll for sure be back!

Garbage, They tout great sandwiches but if the dum@ss%es in the kitchen weren“t so self absorbed in the Seachicken game it might have come out hot but no. they were so involved watching the game. Hootin and hollering. This place is WAY over rated. GOTOPETE“S INSTEAD with the money you save you can buy a six pack and forget the tip…

This place is pretty awesome. Tons of beer to choose from — both on tap and in bottles. They have several vegetarian sandwiches to choose from. The gatherer was really good and I would be more than happy to try their other selections. The chocolate shake beer they had on tap was amazing! The sandwiches come with house-made chips and they are awesome. Some of them were a oil logged, but for the most part they were perfectly crisp and had a great flavor.

Talk about a complete turn around… man, I might have found my favorite sandwich in the ENTIRE city tonight… The Hammerstone… first, I need to preface by saying, this sandwich was consumed after being delivered by Caviar… so it hit my gullet at least 22 minutes AFTER it was completed… that being said, this sandwich was the perfect blend of all things amazing… the ingredients are listed as: ham, swiss, soft boiled egg, lettuce, tomato, onion, aioli, dijon… but its the combination of the individual parts that come together to form this glorious experience… Ok, all kidding aside… I could go on and on… the bottom line is the sandwich is great, and I’m so glad I gave it a second chance after my last experience which was less than impressive… In the words of my buddy who had«The Predator»… This place is everything… do yourself a favor, and try it…

This place is pretty damn good. I had the predator sandwich which was awesome but what really topped it off was the spicy not sure if it was barbecue sauce or what it was, but it was delicious. There’s not much for sides but they have an endless variety of beers. I would recommend it, and I’ll probably be back.

Not bad, Mammoth! I came here for late Sunday lunch and tried two sandwiches — the Irish Elk(a reuben), $ 11, and the Predator(fried chicken leg, pork belly, arugula), $ 12. Both were pretty good! I think I’ve come to the realization that sandwiches are just pricier than I want them to be, and they’re not even that big! Comparing various sandwich shops, seems like they’re all around $ 9 – 12. I think I just have to learn to expect and accept that :/Sandwiches here come with homemade seasoned potato chips, which is nice. They are kinda kettle style(thicker and crispy) and have a cheese/sour cream seasoning to them. Not the best because they’re super greasy, but still quite addicting. My fiancé’s favorite sandwich is a reuben and he loved the Irish Elk. I thought it was good too! I don’t know if I liked it more than the Predator — they’re just so different that it’s hard for me to choose one over the other(that’s why halfsies is the way to go! :) The Irish elk is pretty simple — corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and thousand island. I wouldn’t have thought I would enjoy this sandwich, but I did. The Predator was pretty heavy and filling with large pieces of fried chicken leg and arugula. I’m not sure about the pork belly though, not sure I really tasted it, and when I looked in the sandwich, there was a piece of bacon like meat? Not your typical expected pork belly. Oh well. Mammoth gets my pick for a convenient and fast, delicious sandwich. Lastly, they offer I think 15+ different sandwiches so there’s plenty of options to try and a few choices for vegetarians too. Check it out! TIP: The parking lot in front is for customers and you don’t have to pay, or so a lady next to us said. There’s easy street parking all around though, and I don’t think it’s all metered either.

I was told that this place was owned by the same owners of Bitterroot BBQ in Ballard. I went here out of a wimb because I was in the area and my good friend said that this place was the bee’s knees! Boy was he right. When I first walked in, I instantly fell in love with the vibe. I think it helps that there a lot of beers on tap and you see it immediately once you walk in. I also loved chatting with the staff, they are all very personable and friendly. It took me a while to figure out what to get because everything looked so good! I settled with the Saber-Tooth per recommendation of the cashier. I love Bitterroot BBQ so I might as well settle with the BBQ sandwich. Overall, it was a solid sandwich. The Bitterroot smoked pork is very good and if you like Bitterroot BBQ, definitely get this sandwich. They do have salad or soup of the day and the water is self-served. I would definitely come back again.

Love this place! In case you don’t know, Bitterroot and Mammoth are owned by the same person.(don’t ask me why I know: P) Mammoth was in Seattle Magazine recently. A restaurant that makes to Seattle Magazine must have some level of good. And, yes, Mammoth has a lot to offer. I’ve been here a couple times. I definitely enjoyed the food and drinks here. They make most of the food in-house as well as their lemonade. I am always overwhelmed with the options of their drinks. Fortunately, the staff is able to help me select the drink of my taste. When you order a beer, you will also get a bag of house made cheddar-flavored chips! Feel hungry? They have different kinds of sandwiches on their menu. I’ve tried two of them so far(not included ice cream sandwich: P) So far, my favorite is their Irish Elk(if you’d like to call that Reuben sandwich). The sandwich is good from the bread to the meat to the dressing to the toppings, everything is awesome! If you haven’t tried a bite, you’d better visit them and grab a bite! Speaking of ice cream sandwich, they have house made cookies. It was the first I had nutella cookie ice cream sandwich. It was just indescribable. So good!!! For the side note, there’s a paid parking lot in the strip mall. But, you can easily find free street parking. Or, you can take Route 71, 72, 73.
