The worst food ever. Just plain awful. If you enjoy good food then don’t bother. If you eat just to survive then feel free to try.

I’m sitting in my hotel room satisfied from the chicken and two soups that were delivered right on time thanks to eat 24. My only drawback is that the soups were bland even though they looked amazing. Although the soups were bland they had a nice texture and they were physically hot

I’m a tourist from San Gabriel, California aka home of Asians and Asian food in the US. Let me just say that this place satisfied my cravings. We ordered the chicken fried rice, beef chow fun, hot and sour soup, and egg rolls. The minimum amount for delivery was $ 30. For what we ordered, it was VERY affordable($ 36). They had the fastest delivery(30min) and no added delivery fee! Thank you guys for delivering straight to our hotel room from ordering off Unilocal at 1am!

Excellent Vietnamese«Mixed Salad» with lotus root, green mango and papaya, carrot, fried onion threads, and something I think was jicama, in traditional fish sauce dressing. Ambiance of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, but food is good.

We ordered the Mongolian Beef, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, and Chicken Chow Fun for delivery. The food was fine quality but bland — I buried it in hot sauce to eat it.

I need to protect you all.. I just had the worst food experience EVER last night with Lotus Asian Kitchen. They used something old or rotten to make their Phở broth and it left all of us wretching and scarred for life. I have gargled with Scope twice but still the horrible aftertaste lingers. Vomiting doesn’t help.. It has been my most disturbing food experience ever in Seattle. Or anywhere. It was Hell on Earth. We still have two containers of the broth to give to Health Control.. DONOTEVEREVEREVEREVEREVERORDERFROMLOTUSASIANCUISINE. It is one thing to be bad… It is a whole other nightmare to provide the worst, most disturbing food experience EVER. Update… Waking up this morning I was thinking we’ll maybe just the Phở fillings could be salvaged, even if the broth was horrible.. But I was wrong. I opened the plastic container only to discover that the horrid smell that caused most of the betting was and is in the entire container and all of the food. What did they so to my body?

Ordered the Mongolian beef. Late night delivery was quick and the taste is average. I’m not sure if I’m just used to entrees coming with rice but heads up, entrees DONOT come with rice at this place. Pretty disappointed overall.

I’ve eaten here many times out of convenience and it being open until 2am, which is when the bar right next door to it closes. I’ll admit all of my meals from here have been drunken late-night regrets and nothing more. I’ve tried to eat the food in the day hours and as if like a vampire eating garlic, I became repulsed. Also now the Quarter Lounge right next door won’t allow you to eat Lotus Kitchen’s food in their establishment due to the risk of health complications occurring in the bar– there is an article regarding their health department review posted on the wall near the juke-box in Quarter Lounge. In that review, it was mostly focused around hand-washing stations not being operational, dirty food handling, and cross-contamination. I’ve heard there are giant rats there that have been spotted in the dining room and restroom. As far as the menu, I’ve tried a lot of it and not only does it usually leave me feeling awful later, it’s so terrible in quality and flavor. Some things don’t taste as bad as they are just bland, while other things are absolutely disgusting. One major example is the fried rice, which is barely fried at all, and without any soy sauce so it’s under-seasoned, bright yellow, and the almost still raw veggies inside it spoke to me and said they didn’t want to be there either. Don’t eat here.

This restaurant should be shut down. I ordered delivery, they said it would take 45 minutes to an hour. At an 1hr 15min, I called and was told the driver was already on the way. At 1hr 45min, I called again and was told the same thing, even when I pointed out that I was told that earlier. At 2hr 15min I got a hold of the business owner who said he just walked in and would look into it. At 2hr 30min he claimed they never received the initial order but at the same time refused to refund my card, provide any discount, or even cancel my order! The food arrived cold and soggy at 2hr 45min, accompanied by a completely different set of lies as to why it took so long. It’s one thing to get busy. But lying to your customers and refusing to let them cancel when nothing shows up for 2.5 hours is just bad business. Do the community a favor and take your business elsewhere, preferably somewhere that has integrity and cares about their customers.

If you’re looking for fancy, amazing Asian food then this isn’t the place for you. The ambiance is meh. During my first visit here it was dark, drabby, had a funky smell and not a customer in sight. I was highly suspicious of all the red flags, but my friend insisted we go here because we were waiting for our bus(that didn’t show up for two hours). We figured we’d go get something to eat and maybe a beer. We walked in and immediately I felt a bad feeling in my stomach. No one to show us to our table, no menu, no nadda. After a couple minutes a gal came by and gave us menus, then waters. I had no idea what kind of beer they served as they do not have a beer list so my friend asked for a bud light(ugh, gross). I drank it anyway trying not to be too snobby. So, my friend, who use to frequent this place when she lived across the street forewarned me not to get their General Tso’s chicken as when she ordered it the last time, it was gross. So she orders the garlic wings and the sweet and sour shrimp with brown rice. The garlic wings were pretty good. I was surprised as the presentation was nice and the wings were crispy on the outside and nice a moist on the inside. It was then topped off with fried garlic and some jalapenos. The sweet and sour shrimp wasn’t too bad either, but we should have asked for the sweet and sour sauce on the side. The brown rice was cooked well too. Overall, if I were to be dragged here again I would be ok with it. Just ok. The food wasn’t too bad, the service was below average and the ambiance was not happening for me. It looked like they have a full bar and what looked like a karaōke set up? My friend also mentioned it gets pretty packed on the weekends and dinner rush as all the folks around the area come here as it is close by.

Horrible service. Just awful. Will never order from again. I ordered delivery and was told it left the restaurant at 10:25 pm. I live about a 5 minute drive from the restaurant. At 10:50 it had still not arrived and I called again. I was told«I don’t know what’s taking him so long…» I then asked for a refund of my money and was told there was no manager there, and the girl who answered didn’t know how to issue a refund. The food arrived 38 minutes after it supposedly left the restaurant and was lukewarm. When I asked the driver what the issue was, he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. The food was awful as well. I was very disappointed and will not order from them again.

Just… no I got chicken phở, sis got vegetable. And chicken fried rice. I was so disappointed. Chicken phở was alright, but the fried rice, the chicken was orange and in not even sure it was chicken??? Maybe it was egg idk. It was rubbery and chewy and the rice had absolutely no flavor. It looked like white rice with peas carrots and orange(chicken or egg).

King County Health Department visited on July 172015 and shut them down. The following were noted: Lotus Asian Kitchen & Lounge located at 901 Madison St, Seattle 98104 was closed by a Public Health food inspector on July 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm due to the following food safety violations: Poor personal hygiene practices, hand washing and bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat foods Handwashing facilities inaccessible and not working Foods not protected from cross-contamination Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures The establishment will be reopened once the inspector confirms that all issues have been resolved.

I was pleased to try the Vietnamese menu and settled on the Vermicelli with roast pork. It was gone before the server could get back to ask me how it was. The place must have been between the dinner versus bar rush, as it was empty. But I didn’t feel unwelcome or strange. Definitely adding to my regular haunts.

Update: I have ordered delivery twice since my last review, and both experiences were better than a two. Delivery was prompt — within 45 minutes both times. The mixed seafood fried rice was not bad at all, and they give you a gigantic portion! Thai chicken wings were not the best in the world, and the sauce was a tad too sweet, but I enjoyed them and might order them again. Beef skewer appetizer was a bit tough although flavorful. I didn’t like the egg foo young at all — it was a generous serving but needed more(and thicker, tastier) gravy. Overall, I think a bump is warranted, so there you go.

I wanted to like this place seeing as there aren’t many food choices late night but it was bad both times I tried. 1st time I ordered Mongolian beef which had a bad oily/greasy taste overwhelming the meat. I tried a 2nd time out of hungry desperation and got a noodle dish that was nothing short of awful, bland noodles that left a terrible after taste that I couldn’t get rid of for hours. Aside from the bad food the prices are too high even if the food was decent. It’s too bad this place was bad on both tries because this area desperately needs some decent food options.

Well, that was disappointing. On the plus side, we ordered in and delivery was super fast– under 20 minutes. Pictures of the hot and sour soup looked tasty so I ordered it. It came in a huge container– about 3 cups worth. Unfortunately, something was missing. It was like they forgot the«sour» part. It looked way more complex than any other hot and sour soup I’ve seen, but it really lacked flavor. I also had the chicken wings. They were very bland. Maybe I’m just used to Pok Pok(the best wings ever) but they were not good at all. And they were laid on top of onion and garlic. Where were those flavors in the wings? My bf ordered the duck and said it was awesome. He said it was cooked perfectly.

This is Chinese take out. Nothing special, but nothing wrong either. The proportions are large so I guess that you can say that its worth its price. I ordered online and they were pretty speedy! I think the wait was under 30 minutes. Lotus Kitchen was pretty convenient too because they are open a little bit later than other neighboring places. I had ordered the General Tso’s chicken, pork fried rice and beef chow fun. The chicken was delicious but the rice and noodle were bland. There just wasn’t enough seasoning sauce. My least favorite was the rice which was so dry that it looked like regular rice with itty bittiesnin it.
