A Unilocal friend persuaded me to give King Donuts a try, and I was not disappointed. It’s a little odd, the building is Pink, it’s a Laundromat, it’s Teriyaki restaurant, it’s a Donut Shop, all in one. Though your instinct says run away, your tastebuds will thank you for stopping by and trying a delicious, light & airy donut, even better get a dozen($ 9.99) Located in Rainer Beach, take your dog for a walk at Seward Park, and your inner kid for donuts! or skip the walk and eat donuts

Best donuts in town, nay, all of western Washington. So much better than the sad excuses for donuts that Top Pot and Mighty-O churn out for 5 bucks a pop all over town. If you hail from the east coast or Midwest and just can’t find the fix to your cravings for the simple, delicious, and cheap donuts of your youth, head to King Donuts for a half dozen and a cup of coffee. You’ll feel better instantly.

12÷18÷15 Went to King Donut for the first time today. We’ve driven by Kings many times, as it sits in the parking lot of the closest large grocery store(and more to the point, the closest liquor store) — but had never tried it. They serve teriyaki and donuts, which seems like an odd combo, but apparently a winning one. Also have the normal cold case with ice cold milk, sodas, etc. Don’t let the exterior fool you — these doughnuts are phenomenal! Light, just the right amount of glaze/topping. It’s friendly service, and community roots make it the perfect place. Great for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon snack, or dinner and dessert. It’s truly a gem to the Rainier Beach/Skyway area! This spot is munchie heaven – Nestled on the corner of 51st and Rainier, this place truly lived up to it’s setting. The donuts are more creative then your standard donut chain, the toppings used on the glazes would remind you of an ice cream parlor, it’s just that extra touch that makes locally owned restaurants better. Our personal favorite is the apple fritter, it’s to die for,(and worth that extra time in the gym to burn it off). I will certainly be back again sometime… Did I mention that there is a laundry mat connected to it, so if you have some dirty clothes to wash, you enter in the laundry side get your load going and then order some food while it washes or dries. It’s just a neighborhood place(yeah, Rainier Beach. .. You can handle it) that makes awesome donuts. Very highly recommended!!!

You would be hard pressed to find a better place for donuts in town. These suckers have just the right amount of crisp outside melded with an airy/fluffy inside. Just absolute heaven! Donuts here will run from $ 1 to $ 1.85 individually. A half dozen goes for $ 4.99 and whole dozen for $ 9.95. This place reminds me a lot of donut shops in California where they serve other dishes outside of donuts(Chinese food, Middle Eastern, etc.). Here they serve teriyaki! I haven’t had a chance to sample any of that, but maybe on another visit! This place will seem out of the way since it is deep in the Rainier Valley, but you should definitely check it out! Like a lot of people have said — beware of the potholes in the parking lot! Like a famous Jedi once said: Do or donut. There is no try! \ O_o /\ ______________________ FAMOUSJEDIMASTER

I came in this morning for half a dozen doughnuts. I had read several reviews about the parking lot and the fun staff so I kinda knew what to expect. I wasn’t disappointed. I was second in line and asked for half a dozen doughnuts. I said I wanted a few old fashioned doughnuts, a few bars and then two more of whatever. The lady(who I assume is the owner now?) responded with, «I’m all out of ‘whatever’ doughnuts, all my remaining doughnuts have names!» I laughed and played along. When I went to pay, I only had two $ 5 bills and $ 20s for my $ 5.46 bill so she said, eh just get me tomorrow. I’m not from town; I’m here for business so I had no idea if I’d be back, but I promised to come back. I grabbed some change at lunch and dropped a dollar off to her. As I was walking out she shouted back at me, «it was only 46 cents!» The doughnuts were good(I had a chocolate old-fashioned); I wouldn’t say they were spectacular, but I’m no connoisseur. I just appreciate playful sass and old school belief in the goodness of people in my small business owners Sorry if I sound like I’m trying to make myself to be some sort of hero(or the doughnut lady for that matter). I’m not. I get the trifling nature of this post. It’s a dollar, or 46 cents or 54 cents even. All I’m saying is I appreciated her faith in me. I responded with a sign of good faith back to her. Now I am merely posting this in hopes that you have faith in her business.

I live all the way in West Seattle, but I will come here when visiting friends who live in Skyway. These are the best doughnuts in town. MUCH better than Top Pot!

Great donuts. Some folks love their teriyaki but I find it too sweet. The folks behind the counter are super friendly and fun and have almost a cult following in the hood.

Teriyaki. Authentically amazing, nothing like anthiny here in Seattle, truly a one of a kind. For Seattle Portland region. The donuts truly melt in your mouth, and have a wide variety.

Just your average donut-teriyaki-laundry place! But really, who does all three of those things? They’ve got that trifecta market covered. Amazing maple bars.

Doing a donut tour trying to find good holes in the wall randomly came across this place. I wish I could have tried the donut his niece made but not a fan of blueberry so i got the maple cinnamon roll. Good flavors but alot of grease and very heavy for one donut. Id definitely try again though

The donuts taste so so good. You also have lots of drinks. I thought you only sold donuts. But when I came in there I saw teriyaki. Maybe we’ll come in morning for fresh donuts next time.

Hole in the wall, mom n pops donut shop. Best donuts since I can remember since I was in grade school. They also have a deliciously mean fried rice. Mmmmmm

Best advice is to get up early and get there asap. Went on a Friday night to pick up donuts for the next am but was shocked to see an empty case. Went back the next am and the donuts were full, fresh and amazing! We tried almost all of them. They crueller’s melt in your mouth. It was worth the early wake up! Don’t be dismayed by the outside! Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

These donuts are good but customer service is horrendous. I just got off the phone with the absolute rudest man ever. All I asked for was the cost of a dozen donuts and he got pissed and told me to call back in the afternoon. I asked why I had to call later, he said«because there is a line, thank you very much!» and proceeded to hang up in my face. Get it together. If you don’t want to work in the morning take yourself home!

I’ve been going here since I was a little girl. This place has changed quite a bit. The donuts are good and it’s a plus there’s teriyaki. I normally get the beef and pork combo which is delicious. It comes with a little refreshing salad. Also a dozen donut holes for only $ 1.50.

BEWARE! If you write a negative review on an honest experience, someone will send you a nasty message. I don’t know if it is the owner, the shop keeper(who I mentioned WAS super nice [at the time]) but here it is, with the expletives hashed(###) out. As a side note to «Tina H.» My family contain practicing Buddhists and Christians, and we all know what Paczki’s are(a Catholic treat), we like to acknowledge other cultures though. Thank you and have a wonderful day. «####. They’re Buddhist, so they don’t know about Fat Tuesday. Since when in America did you have to follow a particular religion? Paczki’s? WTF is that? If that’s what you were looking for maybe you should have done your #### research. You don’t go to #### Kentucky Fried Chicken looking for a gyro, do you? The reason they didn’t have jelly filled donuts were because they were sold out. Duh! Not because they don’t have it in their inventory. But really with 271 reviews??? Someone needs to get a life and maybe lay off the paczkis and review a fitness center.»
