Ordered the Chili Hot Dog. It was great until I noticed the mold on the bottom of the bread. No, not a small spot that leaves you questioning it, but a large spot that had gone through most of the bun. Uhm, how did you not notice that? So, I’m afraid that’s a mood killer. Returned and Refunded.

Great breakfast burritos. Bagels are find. Haven’t eaten there other times. Ambiance leaves much to be desired. Stark and cold.

My husband frequents King Dome Deli since he works nearby. It’s a clean, locally owned shop that produces hearty lunches. Good variety and convenient location. I’d recommend the turkey club– generous portions of turkey and bacon. Prices are fair and representative of the area. It does what it sets out to do very well– and it’s great to support mom-and-pop businesses!

The roast beef on my sandwich was bad, as in rancid. Didn’t have time to take it back so out $ 9. Quick service though!

Starting with the warm soda from the cooler, it didn’t get much better. The lady taking my order was not friendly in any way and she was difficult to understand. The lady preparing the food wasn’t any better. She finished my sandwich and instead of bringing it to my table she got my attention to come and get it from where when stood– 5 feet away. If it was busy I wouldn’t have questioned it but it was dead. The sandwich was mediocre. No flavor at all and stacked almost too high to take a bite. My impression– they don’t care if I come in there or not, so I will NEVER go back in there. They have a primo location~ too bad they can’t provide service and/or food worth coming in for.

Good basic deli sandwiches. Pretty standard sandwiches and menu items, a little price though. Seem to use nicer and higher quality meats and veggies. Very mom and pop standard deli shop.

Ummmm, just not what I expected. Stopped in here hoping for a good deli and well, it was more like a gas station that made sandwiches. When I noticed the menu went from sushi to sandwiches to chili dogs, I knew I was in the wrong place. $ 20 for food that I could of thrown together at home. If I go out to grab lunch, I expect it to better than something I could make in two minutes. If you’re looking for a mom and pop shop then go for it, but if you want a DELI(which is a part of their name,) then steer clear.

Thought I’d give them a try today. I’ll never go back. The roast beef sandwich I had was completely lacking in flavor — the major flavor was from the mayonnaise. This is a local low-end sandwich shop. There are three high-end sandwich providers within a few blocks, one of which has similar prices. Not sure why anyone would go back here — they do offer some Korean dishes — maybe those are better, but I’m not going to find out — this experiment is over. If you need a sandwich, pick a competitor and spare yourself a lunch reminiscent of public school cafeteria food.

Stopped by here for a breakfast burrito. I have walked past this shop several times but had not ventured in. This morning I was starving and knew coffee wasn’t gonna cut it. Saw a sign for breakfast and made a quick detour. I was greeted by two very nice ladies who quickly took my order. As I was waiting for my delicious tortilla wrapped goodness I perused the snacks and coolers. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of healthy snack options. There were little bags of grapes, oranges, bananas, containers of pretzels, cashews… all the things I would have packed in my work bag that morning had I not run out of time. The burrito was tasty and came with a little cup of salsa. It was expertly wrapped and I enjoyed every bite. The lunch specials posted on the menu board showed great promise. I will certainly be going back here again.

More of a sandwich shop than a deli. It’s right next door to king station and so it suited us fine — we got a couple of sandwiches, drinks and cookies. About 30 bucks — not cheap, not outrageous. It’s food for the road.

The only reason I’ve ever been here is because it is attached to my work building. They have an excellent location where people from surrounding buildings will stop in for breakfast or lunch, and also foot traffic to/from the train station filters in. The King Dome Deli makes its living based on location, not quality of food. They have a lot of options for breakfast and lunch(lots of sandwiches, soup, some teriyaki dishes, etc.). The prices are fair, but I will generally only pop in here when I’m short on time. The two ladies that run the joint are VERY nice and always happy to see you. They do a great job with what they have.

Good food and friendly people. If you’re on Amtrak it’s a great place to stop for a bite. I recommend the fantastic breakfast burritos here. Soups and sandwiches are great too.

Good food, good portions, nice people! I work in Pioneer Square and I regularly enjoy lunch at the King Dome Deli. The staff is always nice and recognize me. Most importantly they are standardized and prepare the food consistantly with portions and quality. Then again I always tip them. I’v also noticed that they use higher quality meats, veggies and breads than other delis in Pioneer Square. A + for that! Here is everything I’ve had or have on a regular basis in order of favs.(Also this is all I have tried. There’s much more.) Chili over rice w/Cheese. Awesome! The chili is great with big chunks of tomatoes and beef too. Around $ 6 after tax. Cheap. Chili Dog. Comes with a real beef polish foot longer dog! Plenty of chili and cheese and a good quality bun. Will fill you up! Around $ 6 after tax. Cheap… Meatloaf sandwich. Plenty of meatloaf and all the fixins! Fills you up for around $ 7 after tax. Cheesesteak. Big! Good stuff. Lots of cheese. Only thing is that they are a little pepper heavy. Take some of that away and add more meat and cheese and it would rule. Breakfast burrito. HUGE. Only issue is that it’s egg heavy and could use more meats and cheese and less egg. Also some sour cream would rule. I think it’s like $ 4-$ 5 after tax. Keep up the great work!

Oh, it’s a shame! I really wanted to love this place, but it just met my expectations. I got a turkey and cheese sandwich. I asked for onions on the sandwich and when I got back to work found that there aren’t any! I don’t know if this means they forgot, or if this means they don’t stock onions… I’m starting to think they don’t carry any onions because it looked like it was crossed off the menu. They also didn’t carry a good selection of cheeses. I thought this place was okay if you are desperate for a sandwich and need a basic turkey & cheese and not any options… but this certainly isn’t the place to go if you dream about getting your sandwich done the way you desire(which is basically what I feel the purpose of a deli should be).

This is a nice cheap deli next to Qwest Field and the Amtrak station. The food is ok, worth about 3 – 3.5 stars. The service is ‘meh’, worth 2 – 3 stars, but the location gets it that 4th star. I hate that King St. Station has no food. It sucks. However, once I found this place I was appeased. Now, after I get to the station over an hour ealy, I can go get a pretty good deli sandwich and wait for the train. Their selection of sandwiches is pretty good, but none of them stand out as a super awesome sandwich. The ladies are nice, but the service tends to be very slow and they do have a habit of scurrying away in the middle of a transaction. One time I went there before taking the train and ordered two sandwiches. After the transaction the lady looks at me and says«I’m not Japanese; I’m Korean.» What? Why did she say that? I should have asked her why cause it still bothers me to this day… I lived in Japan for a short while and have a habit of receiving food with both hands and a slight bow of the head. Maybe I let a little«hai» slip out. Maybe she thinks all white boys think all asian women are Japanese… Who knows? That story was tangetal, but I felt like telling it anyway.

I stopped in Monday morning to pick up a sandwich. The lady at the register took off to the back room after I paid her and never gave me my change! I had ordered the sandwich without mayo and tomatoes, and of course it came with those things. They offered to make a new sandwich, but I didn’t have the time to wait for it. The first one took long enough for them to make, and I was the only one in there. Too bad.

Damnit! I thought I already posted a review for this place last year and here I find someone beat me to it? Oh well, pretty much what D.J.Y. said. Whenever I don’t feel like waiting in a ridiculous line and in need of a quick lunch to take back to the office, I always stop by here. The specials are where it’s at. Don’t get me wrong, the sandwiches are good, but I have a soft place in my heart on Wednesdays where they serve what I’m assuming is a Costco take home and bake lasagna! The kind I never buy since I am a bachelor and way too much food. Not only is this place great for lunch, their breakfast menu might even be better! Their breakfast Croissant is enormous. With eggs, cheese and your choice of meat: sausage, ham or both! Their breakfast burritos are amazing. The perfect breakfast pick me up and assured to leave you full until lunch or that late lunch. Chili of Rice as D.J.Y. mentioned is a gut bomb. Expect no work after eating this special. Plain white rice topped with chili. Surprisingly good and around $ 5. Be warned. They also have California rolls, a nigiri combo, fried rice and a lot of other things. The frugal lunch buyers know about this place and keep coming back.

This is just plain and simple a sandwich deli that does things right. Nothing fancy, no fresh baked bread, imported Italian meats or fancy cheeses. In fact I think the turkey on my Turkey Club is a pressed turkey. But hey, what do you want for something in downtown Seattle and is a really QUICK lunch for the working crew. They have several kinds of bread, whole wheat, 9 grain, sour dough, rye and a few others. Various selections of «their» sandwiches along with the standard, grilled cheese, Ruben, and tuna, amongst others. Another nicety is the freshness of the veggies on the sandwiches. The Romain lettuce is always crisp and fresh along with the nicely sliced tomatoes, sandwiches are made neat and consistent. They offer homemade chili, very hearty, sometimes a soup of the day, cup or a bowl, to go along with your sandwich, which comes as a whole or half, and a nice selection of pop and beverages. If you tire of the sandwiches, try something off of their«specials» menu, spaghetti isn’t half bad and it comes with a «salads» and garlic toast, sadly it isn’t offered all the time. One of the usual specials is the«Chili of rice», and that’s not a misprint from me, for the price it’s quite a deal and very filling. The help is friendly and quick, after a few visits they’ll know your«usual» which is a nice added touch. They take Credit and Debt cards which is not always the case at a small shop like this. A worthy lunch place in my opinion, plus it’s close to my workplace!
